the devs of onset adventure have said the reason why they have moved to another engine is because roblox studio had too many limits. 2 other things. Pyrite Adventure 1 or 2 aren't made in the same engine as onset adventure, pyrite adventure 3 is being made in the onset adventure engine. Also the sa2 inspired game you made was also made in the onset adventure engine, which is called the digital swirl engine, which is actually public now.

One of the main issues with porting full sonic levels is the triangle limit because on roblox studio is 10k and sonic gens green hill act 2 (3d sonic) is 2 million triangles
Creator of Onset Adventure said that they moved to a different engine because Roblox is very limited in what it can do, so they had to move to a more powerful engine

Sonic Onset adventure has gone a long way from a roblox game to becoming an actual fangame
There's a pretty good one that you missed, the name of it is Sonic Pulse, and it's a pretty decent roleplay sonic game where you can create your own character from scratch, trust me once you get in that character editor you're gonna be there for minutes
