So I’ll just include my thoughts here: Overall, I love it, the shape and proportions seem pretty spot on, and the colors are awesome. I recommend giving it a look! Also: Of course, I don’t include EVERY appearance of the animals we look at, so be sure to tell everyone about your favorites!
My dad recommended that documentary to me back then. I loved the t rex so much, I'd draw it a lot. Me and him enjoyed watching it, and he started to love dinosaurs too. Up to this day, he'd call me everytime there's a dino doc on the TV.

Fun Fact for you: In ZT2: Extinct Animals, all of the dinosaurs available in the game will make nests for their young. T-Rex has the biggest nest in the game along with the Carnotaurus, Utahraptor, Triceratops and Ankylosaurus. Another fun fact: The T-Rex also has the Dinocrisis roar. 😁
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the T. Rex in Super Mario Odyssey, also I think the T. Rex from Rextooth Studios “Tale of horns & teeth” short documentary style video deserves a mention as well.
While I love the design it’s pretty much just a classic Jurassic Park style T-Rex right down to the color. Great design but not much to say other than “Hey that’s a JP T-Rex.
When you were talking about people saying T-rex is venomous, it reminded me of people often portraying dilophosaurus as having frills and spitting acid because of Jurassic Park which there is no evidence for. I love Jurassic Park, but those movies give misconceptions about so many dinosaurs to so many people
Wanna point out: What you were looking at was the Zoo Tycoon 2 version... there's also ZT 1... and prior to the release of the "Extinct Animals" expansion which is where that T. Rex comes from, there was a small DLC called "Dino Danger pack" with a completely different looking T. Rex Also... the one you were looking at was the female, there's sexual dimorphism with the male being a more white/grey color with black/dark grey/dark blue stripes.
I loved the screentime of Rex in Prehistoric Planet, showcasing many behaviors of them that I've never seen before, from swimming from coast to coast, to the mating behavior reminding me of crocodiles, and don't get me started on the hunting scene in Swamps with the sibling hunting at night. That was fantastic, and I loved how the forest setting reminded me of Phil Tippett's setting in his short film. Although I wasn't big on the Jurassic Park audio for some of its vocals, but it's a minor complaint. I like the colors of T-Rex from Walking with Dinosaurs, but I've never been big on the sound effects.

You also completely missed the two most iconic T-Rexes from gaming, Sauron & Diablo, from the 1994 arcade fighting game: *Primal Rage* Whenever you do a follow up, you have to including the T-Rex from Carnosaur as well as both Sauron & Diablo from Primal Rage, which were just as iconic as Rexy when it comes to 90’s T-Rex designs.

Tyrantrum is one of my favorite fossils. I always have one on my team in Pokemon X/Y. It and my starter always make it to the end game with my starter typically being Froakie.
A few games you missed: Nanosaur Second Extinction Monster Hunter Series I think Nanosaur might have a bit basic of a design but Second Extinction looks pretty cool. I know Monster Hunter creatures are monsters and not dinosaurs but you included Pokemon so for Monster Hunter you can look at Deviljo and Anjanath. Each one has a few variants too. *Anjanath might be a bit closer to an allosaurus but is still close enough to consider
the thrilling conclusion tot he long awaited Tyrannosaur episode awesome seeing Tyrantrum getting included into the mix, if you ever make a pachycephalosaurus or Amargosaurus episode, hopefully Rampardos & Aurorus get included

That was zoo tycoon 2, the zoo tycoon 1 design was different and green in appearance. It would be cool to get a video on the Absentia Acrocanthosaurus for Path of Titans! Really glad Beast of Bermuda made it in, most people talk about Path of Titans or The Isle but BoB's Rex is one of the best if not the closest to prehistoric planet.
My favorite T-Rex design is the WDRA version because that look has great colors, head shape, anatomy, and badass roar. The adult version is better than the sub-adult version, but both are awesome. Valley of the T-Rex reused the adult model, modified it, and recolored it, which I'm happy about. The T-Rexes from Dino Crisis, Walking With Dinosaurs, Dino Stalker, Jurassic Fight Club, Prehistoric Park, and Amazing Dino World (featherless version) are also my favorites.
Take the time and energy you need between these, life comes first and you need that balance between other content as well so this doesn't end up giving you burnout (especially with the increased length and research behind it)
There was also a T-Rex in the Tomb Raider games. The first, second, third, Anniversary, and Relic Run. Also Super Mario Odyssey and the old Zoo Tycoon computer games.
If you are gonna talk about minecraft mobs, I recommend Alex's Caves. it features a cave biome with new fantasy dinos based on real counterparts. Seeing you make a whole episode about it would be a dream come true

The Jurassic Fight Club is my favorite T-rex design of all time, I love the Mahogony upper tone, with the beige underbelly, the pit bull velvet/tiger stripes really attract me, I always told my myself if I get a Rex tattoo I'll be based on the JFC rex. I get the hate for the show but I actually like JFC as a past time.
Prehistoric Planet has got the best T-Rex iteration, if a Lost World (Doyle) movie is made hope it features evolved South American dinosaurs in the style of PP.

Love the video! One problem i do have is that based on a recent study on ankylosaur esophaguses, dinosaurs most likely could roar. This isn’t just exclusive to Ornithischia either, as this type of throat needed for roaring is present in some birds.
Yes, a larynx was found with a Pinacosaurus specimen. This does not offer the ability to roar however, and is, as of yet localized to that specific genus, or at most, ankylosaurids. It’s notable that structurally, the larynx is similar to birds. And birds, cannot roar. Birds can produce a wide array of different noises thanks to a structure known as a syrinx (which, there is still no evidence of.) roaring is a completely different noise to the noises we hear in birds and is something that is only found in mammals (very few mammals at that). This is not to say they were mute. As I mentioned in the video, it’s incredibly likely that they could produce grumbles, bellows, or hisses by forcing air through their esophagus much like modern day crocodiles, alligators, and ratites. But roaring, this is not.
The Rex in Ark is actually Tyrannosaurus Dominum (lord of the tyrant lizards), a species created for the game. Yet, according to the dossier, everyone refers to it as a rex. Which makes me wonder what the point was.
Cudos for pointing out Dragons: A Fantasy Made Real. I agree that it's a fun mockumentary, though I personally think the T.Rex design needed tweaking. The skull looks a bit off, and the eyes almost seem pupilless. I never liked how arch-back the Rex are in Prehistoric Park either. That always bugged me. Plus, the jugal(?) bones look way larger than they should be me thinks. Still a far better effort than WWD from the same team, as you mentioned.

To be honest, Tyrannosaurus has been incredibly overused in media at the expense of other theropods, while very few of those media actually make good use of it (or any other giant theropod).

Fun fact idk if anyone said it yet(or if you already say it sorry) Phil Tippett also work for the first Jurassic Park movie alongside Spielberg, at first they almost use the stop motion for every dinosaurs in the movie. Why did they ended up using CGI ? (My English is going to butcher sentence sorry lol) Spielberg seen a clips of T-Rex in CGI and thought that it was really great, he then ask Tippett of what he think. TIppett reply " I think I'm extinct" Spielber really love that line and put it into the first movie. But that doesn't mean Tippett is officialy out of the first movie, he still work with Spielberg, even work with CGI team if I remember correctly.
Fun fact: The Animal Armageddon model for T. rex is literally just the same model from a game you actually didn't mention called Dino D-Day, where you play as WWII soldiers in an alternate timeline where the Nazis revived dinosaurs.

You should either play or look at the Minecraft mod prehistoric nature it has over 800 different prehistoric animals and it currently at the Jurassic they are going until the present day
Not truly a depiction of T-Rex, but I feel like if we're gonna include a Pokémon, then it's also fair to give Anjanath from Monster Hunter World a shout-out, simply because I think it's a neat design and a lot of interesting ideas went into it (such as it having two thin "sails" on its back that it can stretch when it needs to cool down, or the fur/feather coverage that doesn't extend all the way to the head or its underside).
The Prehistoric Kingdom Rex is probably my current favorite portrayal of Tyrannosaurus in any media with Prehistoric Planet being a close second. Dinosaur Revolution is probably 3rd, even though it's a bit dated.

As far as my opinion goes on Jack Horner's idea of Tyrannosaurus being 100% scavenger, while it's mostly false it did give paleontologists a "reason" to find more evidence about how it got its food. BBC's tv series Horizon of course has a documentary from 2004 about T-Rex and whether it was a "warrior" or "wimp" and it ends off saying it would be both a hunter and scavenger.
I’ve just realized that the Bizzare Dinosaurs T,rex has its dew claw in the wrong position. Facing outwards where the fifth digit would be rather than facing inwards where the first digit should be.
Ark Rex shown is the current model the old model had a different roar and its head was more “rounded” and it kind of looked goofy also their tail animation was very stiff now it’s a lot more fluent

I know Monster Hunter creatures are monsters and not dinosaurs but you included Pokemon so for Monster Hunter you can look at Deviljo and Anjanath. Each one has a few variants too.

That was zoo tycoon 2, the zoo tycoon 1 design was different and green in appearance. It would be cool to get a video on the Absentia Acrocanthosaurus for Path of Titans! Really glad Beast of Bermuda made it in, most people talk about Path of Titans or The Isle but BoB's Rex is one of the best if not the closest to prehistoric planet.

My favorite T-Rex design is the WDRA version because that look has great colors, head shape, anatomy, and badass roar. The adult version is better than the sub-adult version, but both are awesome. Valley of the T-Rex reused the adult model, modified it, and recolored it, which I'm happy about. The T-Rexes from Dino Crisis, Walking With Dinosaurs, Dino Stalker, Jurassic Fight Club, Prehistoric Park, and Amazing Dino World (featherless version) are also my favorites.

The Jurassic Fight Club is my favorite T-rex design of all time, I love the Mahogony upper tone, with the beige underbelly, the pit bull velvet/tiger stripes really attract me, I always told my myself if I get a Rex tattoo I'll be based on the JFC rex. I get the hate for the show but I actually like JFC as a past time.

Love the video! One problem i do have is that based on a recent study on ankylosaur esophaguses, dinosaurs most likely could roar. This isn’t just exclusive to Ornithischia either, as this type of throat needed for roaring is present in some birds.
Yes, a larynx was found with a Pinacosaurus specimen. This does not offer the ability to roar however, and is, as of yet localized to that specific genus, or at most, ankylosaurids. It’s notable that structurally, the larynx is similar to birds. And birds, cannot roar. Birds can produce a wide array of different noises thanks to a structure known as a syrinx (which, there is still no evidence of.) roaring is a completely different noise to the noises we hear in birds and is something that is only found in mammals (very few mammals at that). This is not to say they were mute. As I mentioned in the video, it’s incredibly likely that they could produce grumbles, bellows, or hisses by forcing air through their esophagus much like modern day crocodiles, alligators, and ratites. But roaring, this is not.
The Rex in Ark is actually Tyrannosaurus Dominum (lord of the tyrant lizards), a species created for the game. Yet, according to the dossier, everyone refers to it as a rex.
Which makes me wonder what the point was.
Cudos for pointing out Dragons: A Fantasy Made Real. I agree that it's a fun mockumentary, though I personally think the T.Rex design needed tweaking. The skull looks a bit off, and the eyes almost seem pupilless.
I never liked how arch-back the Rex are in Prehistoric Park either. That always bugged me. Plus, the jugal(?) bones look way larger than they should be me thinks. Still a far better effort than WWD from the same team, as you mentioned.

To be honest, Tyrannosaurus has been incredibly overused in media at the expense of other theropods, while very few of those media actually make good use of it (or any other giant theropod).

Phil Tippett also work for the first Jurassic Park movie alongside Spielberg, at first they almost use the stop motion for every dinosaurs in the movie. Why did they ended up using CGI ? (My English is going to butcher sentence sorry lol)
Spielberg seen a clips of T-Rex in CGI and thought that it was really great, he then ask Tippett of what he think. TIppett reply " I think I'm extinct" Spielber really love that line and put it into the first movie.
But that doesn't mean Tippett is officialy out of the first movie, he still work with Spielberg, even work with CGI team if I remember correctly.

Not truly a depiction of T-Rex, but I feel like if we're gonna include a Pokémon, then it's also fair to give Anjanath from Monster Hunter World a shout-out, simply because I think it's a neat design and a lot of interesting ideas went into it (such as it having two thin "sails" on its back that it can stretch when it needs to cool down, or the fur/feather coverage that doesn't extend all the way to the head or its underside).

As far as my opinion goes on Jack Horner's idea of Tyrannosaurus being 100% scavenger, while it's mostly false it did give paleontologists a "reason" to find more evidence about how it got its food. BBC's tv series Horizon of course has a documentary from 2004 about T-Rex and whether it was a "warrior" or "wimp" and it ends off saying it would be both a hunter and scavenger.
You keep saying the Mattel Red Rex, but I always refer to it as the Kenner Red Rex since that is a throw back to the Kenner toy.

It's cool but Prehistoric Planet's edges out for me as it better works for crypsis/camouflage a lot more than WWD's.
