This market breaks 2 different TOS rules, account sharing/boosting and hacking on VAC secured servers. Valve should change the leveling system or the requirements for service medals, and either give up on VACnet or make it far more aggressive on non-prime servers, this market does nothing but destroy the optical value of having a high teir medal because any schmuck could cough up the cash to beat you to the top.

@@grqfes Plus people can still cheat on valorants servers, atm there was a hack released for any FPS game that used machine learning to scan the screen, then input the controls directly into the screen, being detected as a controller/keyboard. this works for anygame, any hardware. All you need is a capture card/ and or raspberry pie. also another method for this is pretty simple, a packet analyzer, basically as your getting packets from the server a separate computer is intercepting them and analyzing them for play position/weapon, health etc.

If you cheat you can be banned and lose everything, so it makes the medal worthless to collectors since you can't have it on your main account without risking a ban. It should be made possible to acquire without ANY form of cheating. Even if you had to play 2900hrs to get it fine.. That's half of all waking hours of the day for an entire year if you were to sleep 8 hours every night. Impossible to most, but still fairly possible for pros or a person with no responsibilities that's crazy enough to try.. and there's definitely a lot of them.

Actually not played that much CS this year because i enjoy other things more but i have all of them since 2016. Back in 2017 all i did was playing csgo and i actually have the lvl 3 one from that year!
it's possible if you save XP boosts from operations and redeem the service medal on the 1st Jan because you already have a tier 1 in the 1st Jan and if you saved 20-30 XP boosts from previous operations, that means you have 1 tier medal and extra 20-30 levels at the first year day.
100% correct that dude. I saved up my rank in 2015 to get the 2016 medal. I think i have one or two medals on lvl2 but its also hard to say because the colors are so inconsistent
The only way I can think of getting the purple one legit is saving up the xp boosters that we've had during the operations and using them for the following service medals.
There have been bot filled servers to boost since 2017 and it’s super common idk how many get that last tier but I knew a guy who had (apparently) hundreds of accounts with t2,3,4 etc and the account looks legit so they can play how they want after buying it
this is the rarest and most expensive medal in csgo, noone tried to get a level 2 medal back then, and steam accounts with such csgo medal on it apparently sell for thousands (by selling the connected steam account which is against their TOS, don't buy/sell)
I literally dont understand why Valve even gave people the option to have level 5 medals if its not even possible to do without cheating and scripting which is against steam ToS They really need to remove the xp limit from playing games so these things become achievable for normal people

i met the rosco guy in a deathmatch hostage game yesterday! just watched this video, recognised his name, and found his account through my recent players
And now all of the people that did boosting like this (almost all of them) got banned for it by Steam right around when the Prime update happened to disable it from being a thing you can earn by leveling up because people were botting their way to Prime this way with full 5v5 queues on one computer, and selling the accounts (to mostly cheaters).
this is why South Africa servers are full of bots auto kicking people. TDM/Casual/Wingman I can't play any mode on a monday-wednesday without it being full of bots.

Once I saw red badge of 2021 in mm, I quit grinding cs xp. I'm at blue badge rank 28.
And now all of the people that did boosting like this (almost all of them) got banned for it by Steam right around when the Prime update happened to disable it from being a thing you can earn by leveling up because people were botting their way to Prime this way with full 5v5 queues on one computer, and selling the accounts (to mostly cheaters).

sometimes i feel like the devs themselves make the cheats and sell it to players, i absolutely believe valve can fix the cheating issue if they wanted, they have all the money in the world to develop the software and hire the talent needed but somehow for some reason they dont
depends, in theory this could be the case but its more likely that an employee is selling the source code / it gets leaked somehow and then the game is screwed anyways. Atl thats what happened in gta.
