It will depend on how saturated your area is. For me, it was a few days. When I told my friend about it in Florida, it said they will get back to him when drivers are needed. Luckily, you can try other apps in your city like Ubereats, Instacart, Favor, and more while you are waiting.

I submitted a suggestion for Amazon to include the stop number when you initially scan the package. This would save the Flex Drivers especially the ones at the SSD warehouses a lot of time.

    • @noelpr7577

I don’t remember. I can tell you that taking base pay and doing fresh and Whole Foods at times, I can make $1500 - $2000 a month.
If you do base pay at $90 a day for a 5 hour block, that’s $450. I have a van so I can pull off about 4 or 5 blocks before refill.

The job is not for everyone. Downtown can be a little tricky at first. Once you get used to the parking situation and how to move within apartments and use the lockers, it gets easier. Downtown at night or early morning is different though…that can be annoying.

I just started this week, been doing doordash over a year and a half already. With Flex I decided it's just faster and easier to separate by letter codes rather than wasting time scanning everything one by one and organizing it. As long as I can identify the letter code and last few digits of the TBA then I'm good. Even with 40 stops. I'd rather get in 15 minutes early, get a route as quick as possible, toss everything in based on letter code and then GTFO and on my way as fast as possible. Faster I get on the road, faster I can finish.
