Very cool position. Gave it a run through last night in some rounds with a pretty solid training partner and he kept controlling my opposite leg which made it difficult to attack the triangle, or to spin into the K guard position. Any tips on dealing with that grip without having to compromise your cross sleeve and collar setup??

Amazing question, as any new position the problems will always happen, so with this one isn't different, try keep he busy with your foot on the biceps also with his balance cleaning up the leg in the middle using shin on shin to take that away, (focus when he is giving you most hard time) keep your eyes on where he stoping you this way you learn how to prevent the problems, i hope that makes sense, and later on i will try to cover up some details with a nice video for you guys BIG OSS

I totally agree the thing is to flaring up that elbow is really really important, and it’s also where you place your feet. Let’s say that you flare up the elbow though, and you kick out the leg you’re gonna end up in two different movements you will go into that he’ll end up on his belly you’ll be able to take the back, or you’ll be able to go into Omaplada! Keep working hard buddy :)
