      The craft store I go to has seriously cut but on the polymer clay supplies. I thought sporadically, it would be fun to have some that go hand in hand. I will be leaving up the polymer clay videos. If I have awesome polymer clay ideas, I will try to film those as we go along. Polymer clay is far faster than my coloring lol. I will probably be apt to bring out the clay seasonally. So you are always welcome to leave me ideas for what items you are interested in making. I will record them and possibly use them :)

    I’m not sure how I missed this, but I am SO glad you’re back!! I think painting tutorials are fun, but I’m not gonna lie, I’ve really REALLY missed your polymer clay tutorials! I got so much inspiration & learned so much from you!! Maybe you could do one every month or whatever? I mean, only if you enjoy it. But your miniature food videos are my absolute favorites ♥️

      Thank you so much, Sadly the craft stores near me drastically cut back on their polymer clay products. I do have ideas for more polymer clay foods though, so I will try to find a way to see if I could find any other local places with the premo polymer clay

Good thing about polymer clay is that it doesn’t go bad, at least for personal use lol. If selling I wouldn’t want to sell ppl 6 year old clay lolllll😅

      Wow :) Thank you so much for responding. I am so happy. I will leave all my polymer clay video clay videos up. If the craft stores I go to bring back the Sculpey Premo there is a possibility I can play with polymer clay sporadically. If there are specific things you would like to draw, let me know. I need to finish the roses, but after that I hope to upload 2 drawings a month. I am trying to figure out winter drawing subjects now :)

    Oh my gosh! Hello Heather! I remember watching your videos when I was in high school. I'm graduating university soon and married now! You helped me out so much with insight on selling polymer clay sculptures and charms online, unfortunately due to major circumstances I wasn't able to, but I soon will be! Every time I pick up a Talenti gelato jar I think of you when you were sick with a sore throat haha, as well as the fact that I also have a possibly unhealthy horde of clear jars and such to store items in.

    Question: when 3D resin painting, I wonder about mixing a batch of resin, painting a small portion of the painting, and then having to wait till it sets to paint another spot. Because I imagine wasting a lot of resin? I want to paint smallish pictures with several layers. But I've not had a lot of experience with resin. I guess I'm asking what is a good strategy for this. Any help is appreciated, thanks! ♡

    • @heathernwells
      @heathernwells  Год назад +1

      I love playing with resin but am pretty new at the painting on it. So far it seems that really thin layers help reserve resin. I will put out several containers at once so I use up every bit of resin. I would also suggest doing the distant parts of the painting first, and gradually work your way to what parts are supposed to be closest. I know I will have resin videos up. I am finding it quite challenging to get the paint to stick on the resin. The paint sticks to itself nicely (once dry- otherwise you find yourself lifting the paint you just managed to lay down) I struggle getting the paint itself to stick to the resin. I am using acrylics, and water to thin them a bit before application. I find setting up my work space and materials before each resin pour extremely important so I don't waste resin.
