@@EZZEYPKMN Yeah it’s really lucky. I just feel terrible for other toxic relationships for other divorced couples and the kids that have to go through it.
Because it's two people understanding that it was not meant to be but it doesn't mean they need to never not see each other again, just that they ave different end goals in life and their current relationship was not going to lead to it
It's really nice to see that this is in the game. Media aboslutely loves to portray breakups as going from lovers to mortal enemies, but sometimes, there isn't necessarily anything bad about the relationship, you just can sense that it isn't going anywhere or that romance isn't the right answer for the two of you (though it is a little unfortunate that this is a rarity in-game).
And real life. People need to learn to have emotional maturity. Reason why breakups usually make people become enemies is because people are so desperate for partners that they’ll date someone within a week of knowing them or only date because of looks. People need to get to know their partner and learn to respect eachother. I broke up with my past boyfriend and we’re still great friends, because we had the emotional maturity to say “this isn’t working, would you like to just be friends?” “Sure.”
I think it’s rare in the game because it’s rare in real life as well. It’s true not all breakups end badly, but I think most of the time at least one or both partners are sad for sometime after it ends.
Me too. As far as I know, this only happened to me once between two Miis at the amusement park. Strangely enough, this first breakup I witnessed in Tomodachi Life occured between my Miis of Hirohiko Araki and an anonymous occupational therapist.
I love Miis, and Mii games...sometimes they're just so expressive and kind of emotional like this. They'll have their wacky and loud moments but then also have little moments like these, they're sorta soothing in a way. It makes it feel more real, it makes it truly like you're watching the Miis live their lives inside your screen, day after day going through their own experiences and emotions. It's really nice.
If both miis have a low relationship status, just wait until they are both outside in the same place, it's a cutscene you'll only get if you catch it when it happens (that's why is so rare, blink and you'll miss it)
I...literally don't know how I can describe this but, the fact that there is no music, just the ambient waves hitting the water makes this scene so much better and satisfying.
Can also happen at the other hangout areas. Tower, Park, Cafe, Fountain and Amusement Park. That’s 6 possible locations this rare breakup scene can happen at.
I really like this event. I think I remember seeing this one at random. I remembered being sad that they broke up but at the same time, they're still friends. It's very bittersweet, and pretty realistic, too. It's both parties acknowledging that, while they may be great friends, they aren't exactly a good match romantically, and they come to terms with that in the post positive way possible. It's kinda sad that it didn't work out, but it's also very wholesome.
Despite having played the game so much as a kid, there still are unseen things in this game. Like it's neverending...this game will never leave my mind, huh?
this event only happened to me ONCE in my many hours of playing tomodachi life years ago, it was such a nice surprise seeing two miis stay friends with how common it is for the breakup to be lovers-to-exes lol
Tomodachi Life is one of those games that even after a decade of playing it, I always manage to find out some super obscure parts of it I hadn’t even known about. I genuinely hope this game gets a remake at some point in the future.
This happened to me for the first time recently (I was playing for the first time in a long time) despite having hundreds of hours into Tomodachi Life. I was shocked that there was something new for me to discover after all this time.
Ive been playing this game since June 2016, no clue how many relationships my miis have had, but i had never experienced this until just a few months ago
This is indeed rare, even in real life. Never seen this event before until now, and it makes me wish some friends I have were like this when they decide to just be friends.
It happened to one couple of my miis too! I was so happy, because I didn't like that they were dating, I liked them to be best friends. I was so damn happy
I remember when this happened between my mii and the fictionnal boyfriend I had made for myself at the time. Super cool event, glad I got to see it, but pissed off I tell you, pissed off I was as I quit the game right after to keep it as it was before
Dude I couldn’t record this on camera but I got a scene almost exactly like this..but it was on the Ferris wheel I swear, it was one of my miis who broke up, the guy said something like “Remember when we first held hands? It was right on the Ferris wheel..” then he said “I wouldn’t mind going on there with you again..” then the girl said “I’d be happy to..” then she smiled and it said they were back to friends..I can’t find this cutscene anywhere so I don’t know😭
in my almost 9 years of playing this game ive had this happen only once, at the fountain... also i think mine mightve included my marina mii too? lol queen of respectfully breaking up even across the tomodachi multiverse i guess
Dude, I have never seen this before, pretty sure. What I love about tomodachi with all the random dialoge and scenes like this, there are still some times where I see something new after many years
This is surprisingly really sweet? In a game all about amping up the silliness with relationships, and playing little jingles and things and having funny effects happen, no music or sounds happening here is really nice.
This happened with my great-aunt. She and her first husband divorced after 15 years. It's not that they couldn't work it out or anything. They didn't feel any less about the other.. They just didn't have love for each other anymore, but still agreed to remain friends, which they stayed until my great-aunt passed away.
This actually happened once with me, between two miss that I had tried to desperately save their relationship, though if I recall right they did it in the park instead. I wish I got it on film like you did, bud. Thanks for immortalizing this moment.
this is literally how me and my best friend broke up after dating eachother for a while a few years back. we both mutually agreed that we wouldnt work out romantically and decided it was best for the both of us to stay friends. very bittersweet, but it was also very wholesome. we're both still very close to eachother to this day!
This has literally never happened for me. I first heard of this game back in 2014 when I saw a couple of TV commercials about it and I had begged my parents to get it for me on my 3DS and I loved it. It was actually the only game I had. Wasn't really a big gamer then. Fast-forward to 2021, by that time I had lost my 3DS so I purchased another one off of Amazon as well as the game and started a whole new life.
Also rare in real life
Thank goodness this happened with my mom and dad. They recently got divorced on good terms and they still talk to each other!
