8:38 .... fundamental modus operandi, the fundamental of the Belfast Agreement was that because of Northern Ireland's divided past any big issues any constitutional related issues, any key issues would have to be decided upon a cross community vote, in other words a majority of both Nationals and Unionists .... which begs the question how was Brexit implemented given that not only did Norther Ireland vote against Brexit but there was no cross community support for it.
The problem is goods entering NI from wherever can easily slip over the border and be sold in the RoI, whereas goods entering GB CAN'T easily slip over a border into a foreign country. That's why goods entering NI need to be treated differently. Is this not the crux of the problem? And the farmers paying more taxes since the Budget is an attempt to destroy farming in NI imo. Food security provides people with too many rights.

4:08 ..... it has infected every sector uh no more and it's topical today than the farming sector because Northern Ireland's veterinary medicines are now under the regime of the EU and we're facing a cliff Edge in that regard in respect of a cut off of Supply from our primary market of veterinary medicines ...... As the Island is a single sanitary / phytosanitary (SPS) zone, NI farmers will have no option but to use EU approved veterinary medicines. The same applies to the use of EU approved pesticides and fertilisers. Contamination of NI agri-produce with non EU approved veterinary medicines, pesticides and fertilisers will result in NI agri-produce, in its raw and processed state, being banned from entering the ROI, and by extension the EU, market and food chain, which would result in - - the culling of 45,000 dairy cows in NI in order to prevent an environmental and /or animal health crises - NI has only 66% raw milk processing capacity so the remainder has to be processed in ROI, and - the culling of 400,000 lambs and hoggets and 300,000 breeding ewes in NI as - NI has only 55% lamb slaughtering capacity so the remainder has to be slaughtered in ROI.
