A Tuesday reunion video while John is on his break? We are truly spoiled
John having a fond memory of the first time he did a Format video is one of the most John things I can think of
It brings me joy that The Format brings him joy, and thus, The Format brings me joy. Is that the transitive property of Format joy?

The benefit to having made 4 minute videos for 15+ years is that you guys are very succinct with your words and that's how phrases like "everything is made out of people" now exist.

@@milkshakebananaz No, not after that. (It's possible I may have "met" him when I was much younger. Like toddler/preschool age.) He and his wife were back on their way home after performing at the Grand Palace in Branson Missouri and Johnny stopped into the franchise Radio Shack I was working at/helping to run to pick up some batteries for his hearing aid. His wife went next door to have her hair done.

"I haven't had a coherent thought until I've written down." Hit me so hard!! I also struggle with OCD, and so many times my thoughts are running by, too hard to grasp onto, or they're not even mine. Writing helps me actualize my thoughts, but I've never really heard someone else explain it. Thanks, John!
I don't have OCD but I do have AuDHD and I really related to that too. My brain is so cross-connected that it feels like I'm having five incoherent streams of thoughts at once, and writing helps me focus all that around one coherent idea
I feel that. Most of the time my brain blurts out thoughts that are basically the antithesis of what I actually think and stand for, so it's hard for me to have an uninterrupted thought unless I'm drawing it or writing it down.

Just wanted to say to John: I developed OCD in 2020 without realizing what I was dealing with, but your videos about it helped me figure out what I was dealing with, overcome misconceptions about what OCD was, and helped give me enough hope to eventually get help for it. From "I'm soup dumpling" to "mummies are ramen noodles" I had to stop the video and just think for a moment too. My mind was legit blown how easily both those things rolled out of their mouths without prompt 🤯. Like it makes sense somehow 🤔
It's weird seeing John in an ad before the video, and then when I get into the video, John is wearing the same clothes.

I was at Vidcon! 3 full days of youtubers I didn't know + Vlogbrothers! That Vlogbrothers talk made it all worthwhile. Every 2 hour meet & greet to see my daughter's favorite youtubers, erased with the joy of seeing John and Hank. That story about throwing out the first pitch was on-par with the squishmallows story from last year. Thank you for making my Vidcon!

You guys have been and remain my favorite youtubers. Varied interests, stuff to learn, funny, entertaining. It's always a barrel o monkey with these two.
You never know what you're going to get, but it is always good stuff.
John, as far as mental health, take your time. Do the therapy take long walks talk to your wife (she's really smart) do whatever and however it is to be where you feel you need to be.
We will be here. If it's a 4 minute video and hour long stream, or publish your next book. Wherever you go, the nerds will follow.
