Black River & Western 60: A Rainy Farewell Special: April 2023 (4K)

When it was announced in early march that Black River & Western Railroad, would be hosting another photocharter, ran by Dan Drennen with 60. I purchased tickets after seeing how great last years was. Still in her Retro throwback 70s paint, but with a Red Number Plate 60 looked fantastic. While we got closer to the day, the forecast did not appear it was going to cooperate. However the day of, for most of the day it did. With hazy lighting, Dan Drennan and his staff picked out some fantastic locations for us. And the Black River & Western Railroad put on a fantastic show. Finally getting the shot at the Flemington Train Station was fantastic as well as going into other spots on the line. However, the Thunderstorms would change things that afternoon. The the Railroad & Dan adapted fantastically, and we still had a great time. My hats go off to them! As they really pulled it off when locations were flooded by the rains. And as this will be the last time I see 60 until she is rebuilt I am glad I was able to make the trek.

While my East Broad Top Adventure got canceled at the beginning of April, I think this event more then made up for it! That being said, as we look to May 611 is in the works.
