Just something about Sawantwadi. Before 1961, Goa was under Portuguese rule administered by the govt of Portugal. At that time many Marathi groups were protesting against the foreign rulers of Goa.There was a movement by protesters to ask the foreigners to go back to their own country and give Goa back to India. The Portuguese army arrested the Marathi protesters at the border of Goa and Bombay State. The Portuguese army made the Indian captives to strip and sit on large ice cubes. This Sawantwadi was the area of the clash of Marathi people with foreign occupiers.Those times Bombay State was there which comprised of present Gujarat and Maharashtra.
In konkan area try SOLKADHI Drink and Kokum. Sharbat.Even the local mango juice is also very tastee.For lunch they will give thick Mango puree. Enjoy! 😀
All clear for vb is not possible. In a single line section green is possible only after full train (your train) inters loop line. It is done thru axle counters or track circuit or confirmation by guard of your train

Just an info on VB - It is superior to conventional trains/engine in the ways that it can accelerate and brake much quicker. So it shouldnt be difficult for VB even in loop lines/single lines. VB is almost like metro/suburban EMU with 4 motors for every two coaches
