There were several other times where the sets ran reversed in the last 20 years, but this is the first time it became a regular occurrence. Before that, I believe a set ran reverse in Fall of 2020.
The last time the Surfline's ran cab car southbound chris I believe you remember was 2004-early 05! They made it mandatory from that point forward as we all know now, cab car north, engine on south end! Nice to see that the other way around for a rare change! Great video as usual!
2:51 6904’s recently retuned horn reminds me of how it sounded back in 2009 in my opinion. Link to the video of 6904’s horn in 2009: ruclips.net/video/XNbCuXTvW2A/видео.html It is also nice that 3002 is back in service, but it and 3001 will unfortunately be retired very soon which means all of the F59PHI units running in Southern California will all be retired due to the Surfliner F59s being sold to Metra, and Metrolink’s PHI units being in storage as of April 2023.

AMTK 6904 is going full coned again? Feels like 2008-2009 again, because I much preferred having full coned K5LA than leaving half of the cones on a K5LA

It’s weird seeing the engine facing LA again, 2000-2004 was its era. I’m so use to the the 2005-present engine facing away from LA operations.
