"garage"... confusing term... I mean nowadays everyone can have a crazy studio in their garage... This is some orchestrated shit right here... I don't know what my point is
Well the Easybeats were pretty amazing, the Australians Swedish Irish British and the States knock out the best of what there is, and this lot are good at what they do.
High Visceral pt. 1 and 2 are some of the best music I've ever heard. The Aussies have some sort of musical renaissance going on right now and I love it!
Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, King Gizz, Tame Impala, The Babe Rainbow, The Murlocs.. seriously Australia, what is going on over there?? Great respect to Flightless Records btw.

(Could be a E906, it just doesn't get close enough to tell the difference, but I did read an article from the KEXP SA saying that he liked to use E609s on these sessions) Chris's Amp: E609? (Same thing as Luke's Amp) Danny's Drums: Kick: ? (I don't think we see the front of the kick at all unless I totally missed it. Snare: Shure Beta 56a? (I'm not super confident, but by the look of the mic and the clip, this is my best guess)
Its incredible these guys are on the rise. I stumbled across the song cornflake 3 years ago and it blew my mind. Their style is so good. Too bad I live on the east coast of the states...
So glad these guys are getting greater exposure. I saw them in London a month ago at what was (then) their biggest ever show. To those who haven't heard them before - enjoy!
Caught them live last spring, hoping to see them again soon. Hell of a live show, and looking forward to getting my high visceral p1 original press, pts 1 and 2 limited repress, and now for the watchamacallit original press signed. Love these guys!
Saw these guys at their first ever American show in Milwaukee in March of 2018 at The Cactus Club with Frankie and the Witch Fingers opening. Met the band after the show and they were all really nice lads. And the show rocked like nobodies business!
Perth and heard Cornflake I went wow..... celtic influenced heavy psych yum yum. Shocked to know they are Aussie's not Highlanders. KEXP are on point for picking up brilliant new acts. Not enjoyed a station/show so much since John Peel Sessions on the BBC.
Why did it take two months for this video to hit youtube? If I had known about them sooner, I would not have missed them when they came to my area!! Dang! I really like them!
I really want these guys to make an album called "Hardcore Porn Crumpets" with some hard heavy riffs, like in Cornflake, or the breakdown of Cubensis Lenses
Australia's psychedelic wave this decade saved rock music for me honestly.
All these Australian bands make me wish I was an Aussie
thats great but what about all the other insanely awesome music of the decade. do you not enjoy all the innovation and genius thats out?
@@JustusVidyo there's been lots of great music. Brainfeeder was my favorite label this decade. Rock overall has been lacking for me though
loads of dank super underground bands in South Africa too. check Black Math out. just search "durban band black math" that should work.

Australia is a hotbed of molten rockin goodness these days. Yet another on display. Cheryl is the conduit for all of this magic.
I agree, so many bands wish you want just dance to.
Sheryl is the garage band huntress, the rainbow in the oil puddle that is psych garage

hard agree, Oz is going through a rock fucking renaissance right now
Well the Easybeats were pretty amazing, the Australians Swedish Irish British and the States knock out the best of what there is, and this lot are good at what they do.
Australia now is the origin of the great rock bands of the 10s and 20s

I can't believe they all learned to play their instruments upside down all their lives. Amazing!
What do you mean?, they are playing normally :O
@@RAFALAMAO_ They're aussies
@@AslanW What? Hahaha
@@RAFALAMAO_ down under💀
Behind their heads, and all . I've heard there coeds wind in reverse too.
3 guitars and the bass still doesn't get drowned out!
Bassists like Luke Reynolds need more recognition. His playing is so groovy.
good guitarists! They know that staying out of the bassists sonic territory makes the band sound better. I love their gritty band sound
its almost like they exist in different frequency ranges!
that's something they've clearly learned from King Gizz - perfectly calibrated instrumental interplay with a lot of instruments
Cause audio engineers don’t exist
PPC & King Gizz are my favourite bands, i was waiting for this so long!
same!
Same here, I saw king glizzard last month too, simply amazing
They should tour, and jam or something. That’s be dope.
Seth Moore no! crumpets suck compared to the gizz!
although i wouldnt be opposed to them opening for gizz...

@@tommythetrain1945 Dude, and a hug.
When I first read this I thought they'd done a 12 minute version of bills mandolin... I'm only a little disappointed
If I could create music i wanted to it might be something like this. I cant though, glad these guys are around.
Joku muukin täällä. Terkkuja Mharjulta. Sorry about the Finnish, a wonderful band🎆🌺🎸
How good is the new wave of Aussie rock
Very.
Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, King Gizz, Tame Impala, The Babe Rainbow, The Murlocs.. seriously Australia, what is going on over there?? Great respect to Flightless Records btw.
Australia, thank you for saving rock!
Great comment
I don't think England ever let rock die.
ok boomer
Japan has also saved rock, but they've taken it in a completely different, often cutesy, direction!
@@gitsurfer27 BRITPOP was the beginning of the end for mainstream English rock scene.
the Australian garage rock scene is one of the most creative music scenes on the planet right now
This band deserves more attetion.
Saw these guys a few weeks back in London at their biggest show yet. They're huge. So good live.
pureinhart i was at that gig! Such an amazing show
pureinhart ah damn! Missed that, were they play?
I saw them at the pub in my town 🤘

I can vouch for their shows having a strong punk feel. Crazy atmosphere, the most fun I ever had at a concert
Im going to see them in Paris in a few months and I can’t waiiiitttt

Don't mind me, just rewatching 6:24 to 7:07 over and over. Drummer's smile says it all.

King gizzard, tame impala, pond, wolfmother and this....

Bummed about no November, but still a fantastic performance.
played out man
They never play it live it’s such a bummer. I’m from their home town so I’ve seen them live like 4 times in the last 2 years.
Ian Reid lucky dude
Tafu played out my ass Theyve never done that shit live
they only play the super high energy songs
I love the exposure they're getting
They should have played When In Rome here. Sick riff!
Killer live, by the way.
That's definitely my favorite track off the new album.
Great performance from the Crumpets
Great sound quality from KEXP as per usual
My husband just got us tickets for this November, can't wait!

Lets hope they take Covid19 to make a new album for us :D
I'm so happy these guys are out there making music
Cheryl is just so darn cute. I want to put her in my top pocket.
Every once in a while she'd pop her head out and recommend a song, then just giver her a sesame seed and she burrows back down.

To be from Australia you need at least two drummers and three guitarists. Shameful.
i mean they’re pretty close. just need one more drummer and Eric can’t even be counted as a member he doesn’t even have a kick drum
