In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. I think most security is to prevent dumping more than anything else. Dumping literally costs the company more money, while someone taking stuff out of the dumpster saves them money.

By us, we have June bugs that come out in May, & Mayflies that come out in June, go figure. I got to admit, when Mike pick up that box & everything he put in there & the bottom fell out, I laughed.

I love the way you say OOOooo when you spot a find like those lights😂 I got a car full of lights diving the other day, I think us scrappers will be finding more and more as everybody replaces to the more energy efficient LED lights👍 I also love the way you say NOICE😂👍

Hey Mike. As an older lady without a lot of muscle, I used the step up method I learned from you to help me lift a dishwasher into my trailer. Yes, I know that they aren't that heavy, but am having arm issues. So used a air fryer in the box, to step it up. Made it so much easier. Thank you so much, for your tips, as well as the entertainment you bring.

Those nuts and bolts around 4:30 are for chain link fencing. And the bag at 4:38 are fence ties for hooking the fence to the top rail and posts and are aluminum. I actually have a date with a couple bags of those at 8am tomorrow. Another great video Mike. Looks like you're healed up nicely.
I started a new job this morning, working at the scrapyard I've been selling to for a few years.

That flashlight at around the 27:10 mark is a mag-lite. I have one. Mine uses C or D type batteries, maybe 3 or 4 at a time. The older style ones used old fashioned bulbs (hence expensive to run), but they could be adapted to use modern LEDs to save power and the environment.

The batteries are most likely dead and would cost too much to replace. In my travels I fixed the old packs with nickel metal hydride. I won't use Lithium Ion.
There might be a new law being put in place because of all the fires.
Sometimes I make up an external battery pack and make my equipment light weight.
Yo Mike! If you ever find more anodized Aluminum, you can clean it up with oven cleaner and remove the anodization.
