Hey guys, it's been almost 3 years since I lost my sister and I thought my life was over. But I started to accept it and try to make her proud every day. Because she would never have wanted me to be sad for the rest of my life. Thats the kind of person she was. I will still miss her forever and never forget her. I thank everyone who encouraged me and told me not to give up. And I didn't. I am back in life and say that now to everyone who might still be reading this. It gets better! Believe me. I did it and you will too! God protect you all. Love!!!!!

Edit, 7 months later: Wow, you guys really liked this. I updated the lyrics last night in a document, and I might sing them sometime. I don't really know. It's been about 4 years since I first wrote them, and I feel like it might be time to let them out into the world properly.
I figured that I should give some context to the lyrics. I wrote this song in 5th grade, during a time where the classmates I called friends were turning against me and trying to throw me into sensory overload. I was feeling more and more alone. I was all alone and just needed a friend. I was left in the cold and needed some love to make me feel warm again. I never really realized how happy I was and how good it felt to be happy until it was suddenly ripped out of my arms. I only saw how much I could miss my friends when I needed them the most. But they weren't there. Most of them weren't even ever there. I thought it was just normal for friends to come and go like that, but they actively left me. Friends DO come and go, but they don't leave you while laughing at you for crying in the bushes and desperately trying to escape the world you know into something else. The moment you realize that they weren't there for you, you start crying, but they start cheering because "you FINALLY took the hint." You only realize how much you need friends when suddenly, you don't have any.

Lost my aunt about a year ago to cancer.
She was an angel and fought hard to live and make memories.
She was only 50.
She passed away in her sleep. So I'm glad she went out without any pain.

I used to listen to nightcore a few years ago because it gave me comfort, I never deleted my playlist luckily and I can come back and feel like a kid again.
I was a completely different person, I've transitioned as well as a lot of other things and I did let myself go.
I went on a road trip with my good friend last year, nothing much, just the two of us. It was sometime in June, and the country we lived in was beginning to get rather hot. You've never liked the hot weather, and when the dry season came you immediately wanted to travel to someplace colder.
There wasn't much of a destination, really. You just told me we'll get on the high-speed railway and get off when we wanted to. In the end, we visited this far-away village that was basically freezing, but just the perfect temperature for you. I remember one of our conversations beginning like this:
「Wow, it's so cold」
「Now are you happy? We're going to get pneumonia soon and I'll never be able to become a lawyer」
「Whatever. At least we've been here before, ok? Let's enjoy it, few people will have the chance to be here.」
At that moment, I really wanted to reply with「Not many people will want to come here」, but seeing your eager face, I decided against it.
In the end we spent five days in that tiny village, with no internet connection and no chargers. It was a complete change from our busy life in the city, and you loved it so much I willingly allowed you to take our the SIM cards in our phones. All we did during that five days was take photos and talk with the residents. It was a quiet, easy life, with the only thing to worry about being how warm we were and what our next lunch would be. We went to so many places, we boarded a fishing boat, we saw the snow fall, we went to pick flowers, and it was the best travel I had in my life.
You had a great interest in French that time, I remember, although neither of us could speak a fluent sentence of it. One of our pictures, you printed it out, and on the back wrote "Vous avez un regard singulier et charmant", which meant "you have a singular and charming look" in English (please correct me).
You always said that my eyes could smile, that they were especially fascinating, and when you praised me you always expected me to praise you back. I remember I always used to say,「When you praise me, I have to praise you back. This kind of praise is cheap. One day, when I truly want to compliment you, I will.」
Then, you would always wipe away any emotion from you face and read your book quietly, while I would feel ruined. I never comforted you, and also never apologized for my directness, just let you read and read until you slept, then bring you back to our room.
On a night I couldn't remember, you said that you wanted to go on another trip. At that time, we had already returned home from the far-away village. I replied that I would go with you, but you said,
「There's no need. I'm going with someone else」
You said that you were tired of always going with the same person. You said that I was annoying. You said that I never let you do the things you wanted to do.
I knew you were lying. I've known you for so long, since the maternity ward even, and when you were lying you always touched the watch you never took off on your wrist.
But I didn't say anything. I was proud then, and naive, and I replied that if you wanted to go with someone else, then you should go. Why were you still here telling me?
Maybe you'd seen through my act. Maybe you'd known all along when I started thinking of you differently from a friend. Perhaps that's the reason why your face stilled, your eyes flashing with a hint of anger and sadness, but it disappeared as fast as it came.
「If you continue with that temper, no one will ever want you as a partner」
And you left.
Actually, I was the one who said「Leave」, and I said it loudly, not caring who heard, not minding who noticed, because when you turned your back my heart was already shattered into so pieces it was laughable and pitiful that I had loved you so much and so hopelessly.
That night, the next day, one week later, two months later, after six months, I still hadn't cleared away my memories of you. I still got up, showered, went to university, went home, took another shower, watched TV, and slept. The difference is that occasionally I bought two items, bought more dinner, bought more ingredients, it was a waste of money, I told myself.
Then one day, like today, I suddenly wanted to sort out one by one, put your bath towel away, put away the mug you always used to drink water from, put away your bedroom slippers, put away your clothes, put away your photo, put it all away.
I think I am fine.
Our mutual friends still had contact. In the beginning, your friends would still provide me with some information on your current life. They would tell me about your news, who you then travelled with, how you were.
I listened quietly, occasionally giving some opinions and then laughing at you. Later, I told them that they didn't have to tell me any more, you were happy, that's all I wanted, and they didn't mention you in front of me anymore.
In the afternoon, a phone call rang, and I was studying for my law exam.
「Hello?」
「Yes, what happened?」
「Come to the general hospital now.」
The voice on the other line was rushed, worried. I didn't even think to change into better clothes but instead threw a jacket over myself and ran to my car. I was wearing a shirt and shorts then, and it was near December. I repeated the room number in my head feverishly, in case I would forget it.
When I arrived, it was slightly past 11.30 at night, and I pushed open the door of Room 1039. Actually, how could I be angry, it wasn't you I was angry at, it was me. Me for not caring about you more, me for being so proud, me for seeing you lie on the hospital bed but being unable to do anything.
I touched your forehead, it was burning.
You smiled at me, saying you wanted to sleep, and so I sat by your bed, holding your hand as you slept. I don't know how long I sat there, or how long you slept; all I knew was every single eyelash of yours, of your stabilized breathing, and when I was sure you were sleeping soundly then did I walk out of the hospital ward.
Then did I know you were actually sick early on, it was genetics, your grandfather had it too. You battled it for a year, and they were going to move you out of the ER, you were tired, all you wanted was to pass through the last phase of your life peacefully and happily. During those few months, you were as sincere as the steady mountains and falling rain, but I was as devastated as the rushing stream and the lapping of the waves against the sandy shore, tears falling down my face in torrents.
Other than disappointment at my own narrow-mindedness, my heart also ached for you, having to deal with this for a whole year. I was selfish by nature, but this time I couldn't selfishly force you to stay on Earth.
In the end, I thought of it as a simple Math question.
When you are sad, I am sad.
When you leave, at least you are happy, but I am sad.
At least, one of us will be happy.
Once I thought of the correct answer, all I could do was accompany you through this last lap of the race we call life.
I didn't do anything special for you. You sat in bed, and I read aloud, and when we were in good spirits we chatted and watched TV together, and occasionally bickered like how we were before. After you stopped treatment, you slept longer and more times, until you felt that you spent more time sleeping than awake.
Once, you slept for a very long time, an insurmountably long time, and I was so worried I went to call the doctor. In the end, it was only that you slept a bit more heavily than usual, when you awoke you laughed at me for being so worried. Whenever you went to sleep, I began thinking if there was anything I hadn't told you yet, if there was anything I still had to tell you, because I was so scared that you, this big fat lazy girl, would fall asleep and never want to get up again.
Two months later, you really fell asleep and didn't want to wake up anymore. I bet you ran off in your dreams, ran off with a taller, better person, someone who could treat you better, or else I would scold you for finding such a lousy person. Your face was pale, never again to be that same rosy-cheeked person I knew; quiet, never again to be that same wake-up-at-every-single-noise person I knew; you closed your eyes, and only then could I see your facial features, and how pretty they were, your long eyelashes, your sharp nose, your thin lips.
But I never said that to you before, never complimented you before.
Your funeral was simple and a small affair, other than me, your parents and a few close friends, no one else was there. No one cried, because you didn't want us to cry, you said before:
「If I was hit by a car and died, then you can cry, I will cry to, for there are so many things I haven't done yet. But now, I have done all those things I wanted to do, so don't cry, if you cry, I will cry too」

You were still the same unruly person you were, I was still the same silly person I was, we were still the same people we once were, and I think that's the best thing that we've kept from young, our original form.
You were buried in your hometown, under the peach tree, the blossoms fragrant and blooming. You were buried near the sea, the blue waters washing away your secrets. Your parents specifically chose a place that was near water and had "air conditioning" all year round. You would love it.
After we finished, I walked along the beach. The sea was sparkling orange and red, and the waves splashed against my bare feet, sweeping away the pain of human life and softening the edges of the cruel world around us.
I didn't know how I managed to cultivate this habit, but whenever I had something on my mind I always returned to the sea, and I would talk, perhaps to myself, perhaps to you, perhaps to no one.
