It's been almost 40 years since the first movie that made me cry was made. It is a beautiful film. I even love their 2002 version, but obviously I stick with the 1982 version. Simply a classic, a nice tribute to one of Steven Spielberg's masterpieces. Great job:)
Wow 40 years old I was 7 when I 1st saw it at cinema with my 2 brothers and my parents sadly I lost my eldest brother b4 Christmas and my dad in 2004. Great memories. Still one of my favourite films
I remember it well. The Walker theater. The greatest movies were in the 80,s. Reese's pieces flew off the shelves for a month after movie came out. OMG the ending I think everyone was crying in the theater. I,LL BE RIGHT HERE..........
As a BMXer, we thanks Mr Steven Spielberg for making BMX great in the 80s even tho BMX was borned in 1970 but the impact of this movie (bmx bike chasing scene) makes it the most wanted bicycles back in the day. I will never forget this til the end of time.
I first saw it when I was 12 when it came out in the theaters. Saw it again in the theaters a few days ago at 52. E.T. is pure magic. All the stars and planets must have been aligned while E.T. was being shot cause it's a masterpiece. Still smiled and cried after 40 years. Looking forward to the 50th anniversary.
I saw this when I was seven at the theater. I vividly remember things like how creepy the E.T's were in the opening scene, E.T. getting sick, and the astronauts coming into their house. This movie is still exciting as hell.
Oh u got any of the other videos with Peter Coyote & the Scientist Cast on the set of "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial" but only during the scene when we meet them in the forest during the same scene when we meet E.T. himself? I'd LOVE to see more of that too. I remember seeing a clip of that on the Bonus Features of the 20th Anniversary Edition DVD. & you get to see what the guys who played the Scientists in that scene really look like on the set. I remember one guy had a mustache & was wearing a baseball cap & another guy looked like Art Garfunkel & especially with the Curly Fro.
Who played the Scientists who ended up coming across & then ended up chasing E.T. in the forest at the very beginning of the movie & then later ended up searching for him through Elliot Taylor's neighborhood besides actor & stuntman Kevin Jessup?
