Congrats Brendan!!! Awesome maiden!!! Been watching the build videos from day one, your hard work and craftsmanship sure pays off time and time again, keep up the great work, can't wait to see your next project, and more flights of the Decathlon
Nice flying Brendan with your Decathlon! A beautiful looking Airplane for sure! Watching you from Wyalusing, PA. NE PA; A scale Foam flyer who admires the skills you guys and ladies have to progress in this fascinating world of RC Flying.🛩😃
@@JustPlaneCrazy oh I have pretty much flown alone since I started in this adventure with RC Foam airplanes in Summer 2003 with basically Horizon hobby airplanes. For the past six years I have enjoyed and still are flying the Parkzone Sport Cub/Carbon Cub 1.3 meter and have had a few of them. I have never installed a flap servo on any of these airframes and only fly them slow and scale and only with the 3 cell 1300 lipo. I have hand launched and belly landed these Sport Cubs and currently for the past year and a half utilizing the landing gear. I prefer calm wind for my flying comfort.😃🛩
Wow, how did I miss this, I really like Super Decathlons, this close to getting the DW D. Wish I was coming to Jet Jam to say Hey again, Great flying, love the smoke, Jeff in LA USA
Hi sir thats a great rc monster. Do you have the dimensions of the wing for me, such as length and width? and the length of the torso. If you have more information, I would also like to build this with Styrofoam. great plane
Hello Brendan over this past week I have really given your channel a good going over, you have beautiful models and your so lucky to have these beauties, definitely will have to have this one in my collection at some point. In your hanger do I see a pitts is it the hanger 9 model if it is will you please do a video on it I would love to see everything in detail what way the servos are inside what engine your running etc, I have my heart set on this plane and I will get one this year, you have a great channel, also I was watching a video of you x cub you run the saito 61cc in it can I ask did you get that problem sorted about the oil leaking from the header? Thank you new follower here all the way from Ireland 🇮🇪
Congrats on the maiden! I destroyed my Phoenix 65 inch twice on two different maiden attempts. Still at a loss what happened both times. Another one coming at some point on backorder.
Awesome! Looks like it flies like a baby. 👍 I have read a lot of guys are using citronella oil instead of that expensive smoke oil. You can fly some slow low laps around the field and get rid of all the bugs at the same time! 🍻
Best regards, I finally finished assembling the same model as your Decathlon. I would like to ask you to tell me how you weighed yours to determine the CG and if it is really what the instructions say, 170mm from the wing edge. I would like to know the details of how you did it so that I don't break it on the first flight. I would be very grateful if you could explain it to me.
Factory recommendation worked perfect. I just bunch up three fingers and keep right along the edge of the fuselage under the wing and have someone in the other side do the same. We left gently and it should be fine. It’s pretty solid there
Watched all the videos on this plane build, where is footage of you balancing it? Instructions say to invert plane to balance? Did you have to add weight with the 100cc up front?
You don’t have to invert a model to balance it. I don’t remember if I included that or not in the vid. The only reason the have you invert a model to balance is bec cause the gear gets in the way or wheel pockets etc. I didn’t add weight to mine. I typical would add a bigger battery.
U mean while I showed the walk around of the plane? If so, then it’s because most probably don’t want to hear the conversation that was going on the the background or the sound of other engines reving……dunno
Nice maiden!
Thank you for sharing the build.
Thanks. Got a few more in the series coming but I was excited to get the maiden out
love the smoke, nice flight , happy flying !!
Thanks for watching 😝😜🤪
Awesome maiden Brendan!! Plane looks so awesome. I LOVE the green scheme. We have one of the Seagull red/white Decathlons in the build lineup!
Hope it flys as well as this one.
super plane , great music !!!
Thanks bro
Very cool! In the sims they always hate people to use the smoke but never heard one complaint when in person. Love it! 😀✈💯
It’s a cool feature for sure. Runs out fast though
Brenden that was an awesome maiden! That was one of the nicest smoke trails I have seen on an RC. Great work!
Thanks for the compliment and watching. Appreciated
Very good looking model. Glad all went well on the first outing. Have fun!
Thanks my man! Can’t wait to fly it again

I will miss Jet Jam this year. Gas at $6 a gallon is tough. Last year it cost me 1200 in fuel. Couldn’t imagine this yr.
@@JustPlaneCrazy That's kind of cut my travels down, mileage is crappy if I'm towing my trailer.
Brighter days ahead. Nice part is we can fly almost anywhere. :-)
I just painted the transparent bulb with green permanent marker and fitted it in. Very nice video and maiden
Thanks for watching and commenting. Nice idea btw 😝😜🤪
Nice indeed, I like the big boy toys😎
A gentle giant
Uuuuu... Mantap om.
Subbed. I love planes. This flight was pretty cool 👏
Thanks for watching and subbing 🤜🏻
@@JustPlaneCrazy to easy loved it 👍

Great video..I have the yellow and green super decathlon... electric option...ready to fly again..only had one flight...
Thanks for watching. Get that out and fly that more.

Ended up switching it out with a Valach 70. Hard to fit in there but a better engine
I have a 60 size super sportster that I put a os75 in and it handles great. 110 mph at half throttle, what a rush.
Lol. 110. I love throttle
Congrats on the maiden! I destroyed my Phoenix 65 inch twice on two different maiden attempts. Still at a loss what happened both times. Another one coming at some point on backorder.
Don’t give up. Nice job. Get it done

Mean yellow and blue...o what size prop are you running...
27x10
Boas! Com que peso ficou o aviao pronto a voar!!
SMOKE!
Yeah baby
👍👍👍👍😊😊
Thanks my man
Hello, what is the length and width of the wing? How long is the plane?
85 length, 122” wing and the airfoil is about 3” thick
This pilot knows how to use throttle management.
☺️ Thanks and Thanks for watching
Why not streching the coverfilm with a iron on the top of leading edge?
I did a few times. It keeps coming back. It’s pretty bad
@@JustPlaneCrazy it usually does that with self adhesive film wich I suppose this is?
Yes. I have been very successful in the past really shrinking it down and pressing it into the wood. Not this one
what radio are you using?
Jeti dx12
Intro music I just don't understand why people do that
U mean while I showed the walk around of the plane? If so, then it’s because most probably don’t want to hear the conversation that was going on the the background or the sound of other engines reving……dunno
No shout out to your wife for purchasing it for you?!?!?! Hmmm…
Bahahahhahah a huge shout out to my wife for the Birthday present
THIS engine sound is SO horribble..bähhh
