      Literally why? are u trying to say that’s amazingly Nobel or that’s what all politicians should do? I think that’s correct but your saying it as if what you like is actually an education opinion let alone an educated fact
      Do u even know anything but the very fundamental basics of who and what Einstein was and studied? Or the entire country of Israel in the 1940s?

      @@jaydeleon8094 Heavy? Yes. Small? depends on model, normal was in standard size, about 1,8m high. Toxic? doesnt matter, nothing is going to end up in your food because they literaly doesnt break.

      @@jaydeleon8094 almost every soviet fridge I know is normal sized fridge. Only my Grandma had small one. As well as I dont know of any person who get hospitalized because was using soviet fridge. I myself use not 1, but 3 soviet fridges, every one of them is older then me.

    My daughter recently posted a "settle this debate" on fb regarding the pronunciation of Uranus. My 16 yo granddaughter posted thry changed the pronunciation in '86. I informed her that teenage boys still exist, ergo "they" changed nothing.

      Step one get enough arms and munitions to get ze Germans out.
      Step two get more arms and munitions to get the Soviets out who are waiting just outside the city.

    Modern weapons would change 2WW. If Poland had better weapons in battle of Wizna or in Battle of Bzura Germany would not have a chance. Just providing portable radio communication would changed outcome. Blitzkreig was real in invasion of France. Polish campaign was old way of war. Sending 100 Stinger missiles would drastically changed outcome.

    Of course modern weapons would've helped in the blitz. We have Javelins and Man PADS. And you don't even need that, just pull up with a few Barretts and some boxes of MK211 Raufoss and you'd mess up a column of German armor

      raufoss would actually be able to penetrate a pantzer IV form the side or rear. front, not so much
      but that's still flipping impressive for a .50, while most AT rifles where 20mil and heavy as F
      yeah, get a M2, which existed already, and just load it up with mk211 and go to town on an entire column from a good high position, raining down from the top.

      Not to mention guided missiles, guided artillery, drone hordes, advanced radar, body armor, Waaaay more reliable vehicles, modern communications. Not to mention extremely efficient anti air that doesn't need to rely on flak. Plus today we know most secrets of the third reich, so they don't have the element of surpris.

    6:13 Not just that they would command factories to build a certain tonnage instead of you know a real number of widgets. For example they said the factories had to build certain tonnage of cars, simply make the cars heavier and now you don't got to build as many. Heavy cars that are bad at everything but on the plus side you don't get to go to gulag for not hitting your quota.

    Herschel didn't name Uranus. He wanted to name it Georgium Sidis after King George III; France and the newly-independent U.S. refused to use that name. Uranus gradually was adopted as the consensus name over a period of decades.

    I’m waaaay to old for AP history. I did all the history (except for ‘Classics’ becaus, urgh, Latin and urgh, lunchtime lessons) my school offered, and…
    … well, when I was taught, UK history was in phase of emphasis on *your local* history, so I can tell you a lot about my village/town (which didn’t exist before the Middle Ages) and about it’s civil war history. I also know - for some reason - everything about German history from 1815-1989, which was literally 1/3rd of what in the US is High School…
    … and really, basically I think I missed so much. I might have gone on to study it, even without any real jobs in that field!

    Formosa was a colony of the Spanish/Dutch between 1624 - 1683, after that it was occupied by the Chinese until ceding it to the Japanese in 1895, wnet back to China in 1945. To say it was a eurpoean colony is technically true but it was not a recent colony.

    I like how the commenters didn't understand the food sack meme at all. Obviously printing the patterns on the food sacks was nice of the companies and the depression wasn't the companies fault. But when your family is starving and the dustbowl is in full swing, pretty clothes are the last thing on your mind even if it's appreciated. Kind of like a high-five as you are literally drowning. The meme is there.

    12:30 I'm a small guy and I sweat enough to soak my pants and shirt to the point I'm able to wring 2 to 3 water bottles worth of sweat. Although, I do enjoy being outside in 90°F+ weather, so I'm not really complaining about the sweat 🤔

    16:46 No no no, that is the Warsaw Uprising, the weird anchor shape (I don't know what it is). You know where the Soviets camped outside of Warsaw to let ze Germans deal with the rebels first before taking them out. USSR "liberated" eastern Europe, well less liberated and more like under new management. (Let the old tyranny be washed away and let a new worse tyranny take its place.)

    Actually, russians did have a few consumer goods; the cars like Lada and Moskvich were sold all over russia and in the balkans, though i don't think those cars made it in western Europe due to other car brands being, basically, better. Lada Niva, however, was surprisingly successfull due to it being an all-terrain car design and many farmers bought it.
    Their quality was not the best, though.

      Like cars, it not that Soviet Union didn't produce consumer goods at all. It's more like that these goods were of relatively poor quality and drastically undersupplied.

    Can anyone tell me the word after "für die" on the Anschluss polling card? I've seen translations saying party but cannot find a similar looking word in any German dictionaries. It looks like Ziste to me but that means cysts...

      Political voting papers are called Listen/Lists. In this case you can translate it with party

    "Children no longer obey their parents" - and how is that a problem? Blind obedience is stupid and many parents are dumb. In fact, the dumber the people,the lower their standards, therefore the more children they have. So yeah, idk ho made up the idea that children should just blindly obey their dumb parents without questioning. As if obedience to authority was ever a good thing.

    Speaking of Soviet "quality", yes, it didn't exist, however there are some fine points, especially the ability to repair.
    And if we broaden the spectrum to all of the commies, then Czechoslovak Skoda was on the right path to become on par with Western automotive brands. If only the Soviets didn't try to take it down, because "nothing can be better than Russian product"...
