    Aww, Davis looks so cool with his new hair cut! Rocking the shorter hair, dude!

      Davis says thank you! He’s finally back to his “normal” look he had before boatlife. He’s learned that long hair and snorkels don’t mix!

      @@SailingParadiseFalls Looking like maybe a growth spurt too? He's looking older and more mature with the new/old haircut, which I'm sure he won't hate to hear, lol. My kid at that age was desperate to be a teenager.

      Thank you SO much!! Almost every passage I am ready to give up but then we arrive in a new amazing place and my head is back in the game. The highs and lows of this life🤣 Thank God Rob was born for this life!

      @@SailingParadiseFallsObviously, you're in control of what we see, but you sure seemed a lot more calm, cool and collected during this difficult passage than during the Pacific crossing. Rob might be born to it, but it looks like you're adapting to it very well!

    Good one! Much easier to watch in 30 minutes than it was to sail.

    This one was such an interesting one to watch for a non sailor - so much explanation of weather and sails! And sharing even when you are having an emotional moment too - thank you!

    Not sure where I came across your channel but I was intrigued, and I am now going back to the very beginning to watch your journey. It’s so amazing to watch Davis transform into this amazing world child Shannon I am here for you. I am at a type personality at anything that I don’t do well it definitely is a problem, but I’ve learned a lot about myself and it seems you have to so excited to watch you guys. I just wonder what will happen at the end of the circumnavigation Will you decide to go home or is this your new life? Love you guys.

      Thank you SO much for taking the time to write this encouraging commment! I really appreciate it!! This has definitely been a HUGE transition for Davis & I (Rob was made for this). It has come with many tears and fights but we have made huge progress. I am so happy we have persevered! The rewards and benefits hugely outweigh the stress and hard times!

    When yall go to Fiji, be careful as there has recently been a really bad meth problem. Look into it before yall go. My wife and I went on our honeymoon to Fiji back in 2018 and loved it.

    • @SailingParadiseFalls
      @SailingParadiseFalls  2 месяца назад +1

      It’s not free, the Starlink mobile priority plan $250/mo with 50gb priority data per month then unlimited standard data. This can only be used near land. If offshore it’s all mobile priority data at $2/gb.

      When you have just been at sea for 9 days and have a reservation that has been PAID for, you expect to have a place to safely keep your boat.

    Sadly, Elon Musk has the monopoly on the Internet via satellite and he is now exploiting that it’s my understanding is double the price of access and usage for Starlink apparently not in Europe though so if you can get an address in Europe and connect via that it’s half the price

      Yes, much worse things happen. It was a vulnerable moment and I was exhausted. Glad it only took a few hours for a solution without having to carry onward to Tonga!
