Not as perfect as it looks. I recorded levels one at a time, and I practised most of them a few times until I got the attempts shown in the video. Even then, some of the hardest levels have disguised edits. I would not be able to do this in real time. I remember being particularly proud of doing Slippery Climb on the first attempt, but not many were like that... and I still haven't done the time trial for Stormy Ascent (2024 edit: I did it).
@@GriffinX81 I'd still recommend Crash 4, but I definitely agree with you on the difficulty for completion. I managed 98% (all gems) with some struggles towards the end, but I enjoyed it all the way. Then I got about halfway through the platinum flashback tapes before I got stuck on one and gave up (2022 edit: I've now finished those for 100%, but I wouldn't say it was worth the effort). I don't like the concept of the perfect relics, despite getting a few of them by accident, and I really don't care about platinum time trials. I don't have time for that. I'd rather play other games .
@@TheMoonRover I like the idea of perfect relics as something extra that doesn't add to completion (like how getting platinum relics in NST was no more % than gold relics) but it should only be for pro players who are interested. I got 106% after a month and 113 hours of playtime. It's absurd. So anyway, did you include relics in this video? And where did you get the 311 figure?
@@babbisp1 That's fair, it makes sense as an optional challenge. As for this video, I only did relics in Crash 3, because those are required. The 311% figure came from 103% in Crash 1 (the extra 3% from Stormy Ascent), 100% in Crash 2, and 108% in Crash 3 (full completion with the hidden levels and Future Tense). I later did the relics for all 3 games in a separate video. That adds an extra 2% in Crash 1 and 2 for a total of 315.

This is how you remake a game. I had a choice between Spyro Reignited and Crash Bandicoot N Sane. Unfortunately Spyro the Dragon had more of a positive impact on my life than the increasingly frustrating difficulty of Crash Bandicoot to my young self 😅 But I would love to see a collaboration between Spyro and Crash where Cortex creates a portal to the dragon worlds and drives to use the magic do whatever it is he does
There was a Crash/Spyro crossover for GBA where Cortex and Ripto team up. Although the Crash part is generally regarded as one of the worst games in the series (I still enjoyed it for what it is) and the Spyro part is even worse.
Well crash 3 was overall easier when it came to gem collecting, but that level man was insane. It had all a no death platform secrets and it was the only level that implemented more of those changing boxes.

Stormy Ascent? If you're on the PS4 version, I think it's an update or DLC you have to download. The PC/Xbox/Switch versions released later and I think they all had it included. You might also find you're missing Future Tense in CB3, same thing. Neither of them are required; you can beat the game and get over 100% without them. Stormy Ascent is a level which was supposed to be in the original PS1 game but got cut at the last minute - it was basically finished but it was too difficult and had some issues they couldn't fix in time. Future Tense is a brand new level for the remake.

That's a shortcut to Stormy Ascent, a level which was cut from the original 1996 game and now restored. It was a DLC on the PS4 version (automatically included in other versions) so there had to be a way to access it from the start.
7:25:30 here is a theory you know how after this game in the alternate ending Cortex and N Tropy are sent back to well I don't know how long ago yet in Wrath of Cortex we see Cortex again and in Crash Bandicoot 4 Cortex is sent to the end of the universe well maybe there is an alternate universe where this is the canon ending this is the universe with Wrath of Cortex in it well that's just my theory what do you think

You make this look too easy. 'Cause when you go to try it - it's like,",Oh Shit!",there goes another life as I fly off the edge to nowhere." How many times did you play this? The boards on the PS2 version is so different,I miss the snow warp area's,and riding the baby polar bear..If you jumped on the bear's back 10 times in the warp lobby,you would get a free life for every jump , up to 10 lives. Dog Hunching the bear dose nothing. After looking at CB2,I realized I mistaken CB3 FOR CB2...I forget I have both of the PS2 versions.
I got it at 2:11:40. Some gems can't be obtained on the first visit, in this case because you need the green gem to activate a platform which takes you to 3 crates, and the green gem is found later in the game.
In "The Lost City " level, I collected all the boxes, but it wouldn't give me the gem. It said that I died. Does that mean I can't get the gem in that level now?.
You can still get it, but you'll have to restart the level, and break every box in the level without dying (dying in the bonus rounds is okay). In the original game, the no-death requirement was in every level; in the remake it's only for the 6 levels with coloured gems, The Lost City being the first of those.
@@hurmetnoka9434 There are some levels where it's not possible to get all the boxes on the first visit (usually because of a coloured gem path) so you have to go back later.
Reach the end of Turtle Woods without breaking any boxes in order to collect the blue gem. That then unlocks those blue platforms in Hang Eight. There are different coloured gem platforms across all three games, although the way in which you get the coloured gems varies.

I had a choice between Spyro Reignited and Crash Bandicoot N Sane. Unfortunately Spyro the Dragon had more of a positive impact on my life than the increasingly frustrating difficulty of Crash Bandicoot to my young self 😅
But I would love to see a collaboration between Spyro and Crash where Cortex creates a portal to the dragon worlds and drives to use the magic do whatever it is he does
There was a Crash/Spyro crossover for GBA where Cortex and Ripto team up. Although the Crash part is generally regarded as one of the worst games in the series (I still enjoyed it for what it is) and the Spyro part is even worse.
This one is better than the original. More life.

Future Tense was such a new level of difficulty
Well crash 3 was overall easier when it came to gem collecting, but that level man was insane. It had all a no death platform secrets and it was the only level that implemented more of those changing boxes.

Why this teleport and the following level in CB1 is not appearing for me? I have done everything as the gameplay until now
Stormy Ascent? If you're on the PS4 version, I think it's an update or DLC you have to download. The PC/Xbox/Switch versions released later and I think they all had it included. You might also find you're missing Future Tense in CB3, same thing. Neither of them are required; you can beat the game and get over 100% without them.
Stormy Ascent is a level which was supposed to be in the original PS1 game but got cut at the last minute - it was basically finished but it was too difficult and had some issues they couldn't fix in time. Future Tense is a brand new level for the remake.

That's a shortcut to Stormy Ascent, a level which was cut from the original 1996 game and now restored. It was a DLC on the PS4 version (automatically included in other versions) so there had to be a way to access it from the start.

The boards on the PS2 version is so different,I miss the snow warp area's,and riding the baby polar bear..If you jumped on the bear's back 10 times in the warp lobby,you would get a free life for every jump , up to 10 lives. Dog Hunching the bear dose nothing. After looking at CB2,I realized I mistaken CB3 FOR CB2...I forget I have both of the PS2 versions.

I got it at 2:11:40. Some gems can't be obtained on the first visit, in this case because you need the green gem to activate a platform which takes you to 3 crates, and the green gem is found later in the game.

The PS4 version is backwards compatible on PS5. I have no idea if or how much it benefits from that, but I don't think there's a proper PS5 upgrade.
In "The Lost City " level, I collected all the boxes, but it wouldn't give me the gem. It said that I died. Does that mean I can't get the gem in that level now?.
You can still get it, but you'll have to restart the level, and break every box in the level without dying (dying in the bonus rounds is okay). In the original game, the no-death requirement was in every level; in the remake it's only for the 6 levels with coloured gems, The Lost City being the first of those.
I need back to this version so simple and fun, PS4 version wtf so difficult makes stress and booring finish every stage!!

To get those coloured platforms you need to have the gem of the same colour. The blue gem is in Toxic Waste, break all the boxes without dying.

@@hurmetnoka9434 There are some levels where it's not possible to get all the boxes on the first visit (usually because of a coloured gem path) so you have to go back later.
Does all the keys have to be gold on the third castle?
The time relics in the third game? You can get both endings with only sapphire relics, but you need gold for 108%.

How did you get the blue gem to appear in hang eight?
Reach the end of Turtle Woods without breaking any boxes in order to collect the blue gem. That then unlocks those blue platforms in Hang Eight.
There are different coloured gem platforms across all three games, although the way in which you get the coloured gems varies.
