WE BROKE THE CURSE. SA is dead and we killed it.
This hellspawn of a game took me almost half a year to LNN. It's ridiculous! The games I perfected before this took mere weeks...
It did spawn some of the most glorious memes I've ever been able to give birth to. I might make a compilation of my struggles if there's interest (and if I didn't delete my VODs and recordings).
But on this day, both Mino and I randomly decided to try SA, and at last we both finally managed to end this truly bodacious quest.

Anyways uh, should I make a compilation of my 'journey' of getting this LNN? I feel it would be fitting, but I dunno if it's worth it.
If you wish. To me, i find it as a "Bonus" footage. With all of your Sweat, Blood, Tears, (and a little bit of Anger Management) We will see for what pain you have been through, And all of that got up to this point. It feels like a... One of those ancient prophecy things the more i think about it. For someone with this must determination to perfect a game like this deserves to have a long rest from the pain they have been through.
So, Yeah. A Compilation would be fitting. I enjoy your videos with such great skill put into it. I hope you can keep it up.
why are you playing the japenese version of touhou 11 and not the english version? Also congratulations on beating lunatic 1cc SA
SA has a super good practice patch (Riri's practice tool) that allows you to not just practice spell cards, but also nonspells and stage portions. I don't like using several patches at once, because they can cause conflicts between each other (and the SA practice patch was a hell to install already), so I just stuck with the original version.
There is in fact no patch that works with it at all. Hardpatch needs its own exe and thpatch requires filesize to be identical. The only thing you could do is directly alter assets in the dat, but that doesn't allow you to properly do a translation patch afaik.
It's necessary to upscale videos to 720p before uploading if you want 60fps option :/

To anyone who is currently strugling with SA, I want to point out the practice tool made by RIRI. It enables Midboss and Boss practice, which is super helpful.
Orin went from being castratingly hard to genuinely fun to fight for me.

That has instantly become one of my favorite easter eggs ZUN has ever hidden in one of his games. I've literally wondered myself why some of the letters were colored, and now it makes sense. It's so simple and inconsequential, but such a charming little detail!

Also, it's a wonder anyone can even see the game amid all those extremely bright miniature suns that "Okuu" loves to rain down. At least you've got an "Enemy" indicator at the bottom to see her. X_x

Hitboxes of big glowy bullets and "mentos" bullets are pretty small in SA. Also, Utsuho can never move down far enough to hit you if you bottomhug, as long as you stay straight under her. You can try it yourself.
