I fully agree with this review! I was doubtful - but the first episode was interesting and enjoyable. Let's wait and see. This could be a great season. But it's also possible that this will completely fall apart. I will definitely continue to watch. And Kali Rais is an interesting actress, while Jodie Foster hasn't lost her mojo at all! It's a joy to see her again!
I have no idea how someone could justify that cringefest. Kali Reis character is the worst of the bunch. Jodie tries and she does the best anybody could with what she is given. The only character that feels like a real person. The setting in Alaska with the Native American themes could have been haunting, atmospheric, moody... instead, we have random surrealist stuff that might play a role later, forced drama, forced dialogue with basic interactions (and basic English), forced social issue conversation, forced politics. No interesting crime. This was a letdown.
So you watched 1 episode and already determined it's the worst since season 2? How the hell can you judge any show, that's a mystery based show, after just one episode? Sounds like you decided before even watching it that you weren't going to give this show a chance
Maybe - I was doubtful, too. But when I watched the first episode I was pleasantly surprised. It was dine very well IMO, and the two main characters are interpreted really well by Jodie Foster and Kali Rais. I will give the show a chance and I will continue to watch...
