Stuart declares his love for Kirsty in the middle of her wedding to Lionel, causing it to be temporarily called off. Meanwhile Gina is furious with Nick for revealing her role in Tides of the Heart, Jenny and Johnny deal with her pregnancy whilst Hone faces up to the realization that he may have killed a man.

i didn't quiet remember Stuart but i really like the drama he is causing here.. Damn. Kirsty is so beautiful.

Stuart was a great character. Probably his most dramatic scenes. Usually a really nice character. He also returned in 2017 with Marj for 25 anniversary. Kirsty was so beautiful and one of the best characters of all time.

I think it's a testament to the actors and their characters that Lionel & Kirsty feature strongly in four consecutive Shorty season cliffhangers- their wedding in 94, the truck crash in 95, their reconciliation in 96 and their plane crash in 97.

The 90s to mid 2000s was the best years of the show in my opinion.

definitely; I think that this was due to key things: Robyn Malcolm who played Ellen said that Simon Bennett as producer slowed down the storylines to make them more gritty and real plus the cast during this period was strong. The 'core' of the golden era from 96-99 were, in my opinion, David & Ellen, Nick & Rachel, Lionel & Kirsty, Rangi & Donna, Johnny & Tiffany, Jenny, Caroline, Minnie, James and Moira.
