Hi! I finished your book last week and just heard "Arms Wide Open" on BobFm here in Panama City, Fla. Ran across this interview trying to catch up on the new sound. ( Ok I admit I was gonna read along with the lyrics in the back of your memoir while I listened to you sing.)
My husband and I have been fans for decades. We were always convinced you were speaking to us "recovering sinners" spiritually back in the day. So to see you finally embrace your heavenly Father does us good...real good!
Ok, the book! Just...wow! Wonderful to see a rocker speak so respectfully and loving of his woman. Oh and what a love story! And mommy-in- law washing your feet at her side when you came to in the hospital? Yup, I did the ugly cry. Wanted to reach thru my kindle and throttle you when you got off track after that!
I've struggled with depression and the stuff S. Baptist childhood creates, so does my 18 yr old son from my side of the family. Not fair to feel such ambiguity and guilt from religion not Him. Reckon it's regional? LoL. I've embarrassed myself now rambling. Never left a comment before, that is if you ever see this.
If not, We'll meet on the other side. Just wanted to offer a brother some encouragement. We have you and your sweet family in our daily prayers now. God bless you Mr. Stapp and your music!
PS thanks for giving us the lyrics to your songs at the end of your book! I'm off to my own private Creed concert w/lyrics now! Life's good ain't it, praise God!

Would be even better if the rest of the band would just let him sing. Nice to see his voice has recovered from whatever issue he experienced in 2009.
