I just finished closing up my camper/caravan for the winter and I see you heading into your Summer. Quite a difference considering that we have to pump antifreeze, good down to at least -45C, through the camper water pipes, before winter sets in.
Hi Karen, as a fellow dog lover, both Charlie (my Beagle) and I appreciate the random cameo role played by your puppy within each episode. Keep well, and enjoy what life has to offer.
Honestly, that dog cracks me up, he’s hilarious, and totally steals every scenes he’s in 😂. I’ll miss that view but looking forward to watching your next travels!!
Thanks for the Blog brilliant as always, we've moved away from awnings as well! We went for the Isabella shadow with a side screen, a tad on the expensive side but we found it's very practical as it's so quick to put up and take down plus it takes no time at all to dry unlike a regular awning..
Can't wait to see it either I love all the older things but love older caravans there is just something about the older caravans that pulls you in compared to the new once I like the new once but the older seems to pull on your heart lol I have sent you a message on messenger as well
Trouble with old apple trees , they have a shelf life after which they don't produce any more . Unlike your old caravan , which you have stopped leaking and made look presentable , and I'm sure you will enjoy touring around in :)
I am going to miss the dogs. I am also going to miss the farm. I look forward to virtually travelling NZ with you. Life's pretty stagnant here in Victoria Australia right now.
I love the wind in the van. Reminds me of the feeling traveling on the ocean. To me it's romantic. My pup Dudeles (doodles), Dude, is not so fond but getting used to it. Can get quiet windy in Hicks Bay. Yes. My first time towing my beast the wind had me going 60 kms foot to the floor. Doh! Catch you on your next adventure. Arohanui.
The paint looks great! So satisfying taking the tape off when your done. I can see the need for a change of scene. That is too bad they took the apple trees out. I would have liked to see them. But a business like that storing RV’s is always needed I’m sure it will do well.
This was a bonus, with a hat tip to Hayden for demonstrating tool use techniques. I hope you get some takers on the podcast download. That is a bit beyond me still, but I have been super impressed by your videos. It was also great to see you talking with Hayden's uncle, but sad to see that only a few apple trees remain.
Neat job around the windows. You both have good skills. I thoroughly enjoyed the history lesson. The fella toward the end of the "gypsy" movie played the part of Howard in the Any Griffith Show. I met him at a dinner theater in Florida 40 years ago.
I like uncle stephen . Champion sort of bloke. He would know the old country and western singers The Pioneers. Glad to see vinni getting a flash aluminium look . Happpy glamping 🚰🚺
good luck with the podcast thingy m8. gingoes that fella 'uncle steve' is a dry old fella. hadn't heard of that movie, so i made a note. nice work om the van, i'm looking forward to seein the inards done. nice work on the caravan though, was looking at a 70s model caravan to 'do up' the other day, they wanted a bit over $5000 for it. so what i got is still in my pocket :( gotta find a project :) but you an yours stay safe an well an have fun eh!
@@TravellingK my cousin, an ex family solicitor, now thinks he's now the family accountant, says cars are going to come down, an caravans an stuff will go up, due to nobody being allowed to go overseas. except maybe to new zealand. :)
Hayden the resident lock smith....always handy to have around...... and that dog I think he's adopted you Karen .Great to meet and listen to Hayden's uncle being a history buff ,I knew there was some gypsy blood in you Karen....fancy doing a reno on a real Gypsy caravan ,yours is really looking so good *Grin* Shame about the apple orchard one thing there's lots of room for new orchards in NZ. Talk again soon take care and don't for get to vote vote vote .
Vinnies looking good Karen where do you leave her when on the road. Hope wind. drops ,we are in the last couple weeks before caravan shutdown and we have rain most days but will miss the life till next season, just of for game of golf with my son so that will take my mind off close down keep safe
Karen, so you are getting tool skills from HAYDEN, great, so it’s off to storage/sale ? well now you have an idea how things are /were made , lots of sweat equity, into it , when we were quite hot we had storms come through, & NZ was actually warmer, but now you ARE warmer, I had to turn on my steam boiler here for heat , you are getting into spring Fl& we are getting remnants of that last hurricane, rain for 3 days , cuts down on the pollen. Stay well. Happy Trails, Cheers 🇦🇺🇺🇸
Great to finally meet the uncle! We thank him for providing you with a beautiful base camp! Love the dogs in the videos as well.
I am grateful Hayden's uncle let me stay too!
Uncle Steven is brilliant! What an awesome guy.
He's a pretty awesome bloke!

Wow, that is cold! I'd struggle with that in a caravan.

I will miss Jo... he just wanted to be involved!

I can't wait to properly start the inside too!

Didn't know that, about apple trees. Interesting.
And the variations planted were not as popular now any more.
Getting there with Vinny!
I've stayed on a site that used to be an orchard. It had quite a few more trees than Dick's. It has been featured in some of my caravan videos.
Ah nice! Orchard are great to stay on.
Karen, the site is Tall Trees Leisure Park near Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.
Yay thank goodness for clever menfolk ... happy trails
Grateful for Haydens help!
Well Vinnie is looking soooo good Hayden’s uncle was fascinating to listen too. I love history like his. Thank you Karen
I learnt a lot on that talk with Hayden's uncle!
I am going to miss the dogs.
I am also going to miss the farm.
I look forward to virtually travelling NZ with you.
Life's pretty stagnant here in Victoria Australia right now.
VIC sounds tough right now! Really hope you are doing ok. I am missing Jo, the farm dog...

Ah yes, I imagine it would get windy there!
Vinny looking good!
Now I just need to paint the bottom!

Yes, Very satisfying taking the tape off. A lot of my older videos have the trees in them.

Another lovely video! Great progress on Vinnie, Hayden is a miracle worker to us untool people.
Hayden is pretty handy!
love the colour of the top of the caravan
It's actually turned out better than I feared!
Work in progress. Keep at it - it’ll be worth it in the end, I’m sure. Stay safe and well in beautiful NZ.🌞👍🌞
I'll get there! Stay safe too.
Your van coming on great Karen.....brilliant workmanship.....stay safe.....thanks for sharing
Thanks Ian!
Your reno is looking really great! On to new adventures.
Thanks Karen! Can't wait to paint the bottom section too...

Oh, so a famous actor in the movie?
Great paint job 👍🏻🥂💫🐕
lock on a door with the hinges screwed from outside is a bad move. unscrew them and the door is open. you need coach bolt with nuts on the inside.
I think it would be very easy to get into the caravan. You could even take the rubbers off the window and get in that way!
I'm loving Skill Share thanks to you!
Oh, that's great to hear!
Missing the dogs already, that Joe was a great works supervisor!
hehe wasn't he a great supervisor🤣
I like uncle stephen .

Hawkes bay Seashore nice
Stephen is a good one!
So, is the reno caravan staying up on the farm? You are going to miss those cool old farm dogs I think. 😔
Yes, I'll miss Jo!
Is that the same apple orchard you used to stay at?
Yes, the same orchard!
Vinny is looking good!! Where we all be staying for the next few months?
My destination is a surprise😜
thanks for the video Karen. Stay safe.big kisses to you both from France
"Don't Come Knockin' When The Bus is Rockin' " - EH?? ;-)

When in doubt, get a hammer to it!
Yes K,time to recharge your battery.
We are all ready to travel on with you
It's always nice to explore...
Paint looks great.
No farm cats??
Shame about the tree's 🥺
No cats! But a few wild goats too?! Saw a wild deer too.

That's the tricky part with Vinny. Staying at the farm before being reunited! Enjoy golf!
Update
Your caravan looking sexy , bluey the dog so cool and laid back.well done Karen and that other bloke🤣😄🤠🇦🇺
Caravans looking ok! Can't wait to do the bottom section too.
Aww I love apple 🍎 🍏 orchards, and an orchard camping 🏕 site 👌. I suppose business needs must prevail but it’s a shame nonetheless.
Exactly. They were special... but it's a business.
Your good looking.

Glad to hear the hurricane season is ending! It's been an interesting learning curve with Vinny...
SkillSHARE - means NOT paying for it ! - When you share something, you don't charge people you're sharing with !
Nothing wrong with being paid for your time.
*skill share* is like colonialism. THEN apply ownership.
Or being Married and seperating..Apply for everything more than half n half
@@toombo11 But that's not sharing !
@@toombo11 But are those 'doing' actually being paid - or does the money just go to the organisers ?
Hmm🤔😒um🙄 id have to negotiate.
