We had same issue with our dyno. It's the hard drive skipping with the harmonics from certain cars. Switching to SDD completely solved. Love your work guys.
I'm no dyno guy, but i know computers and that's what i was guessing. I was going to say that having the computer in the room next door and the cables thru a hole in the wall would also fix it. But if a SSD is all it takes then I would change it out.
@@colesteven1123 SSD have only just become somewhat affordable in the last couple years... for instance most people still have an SSD/HDD combo in their PC builds.
We dealt with this in the airline industry, Hard drives have major issues with loud noises especially over 130db make sure your system is on solid state, if it's not upgrade it to a ssd and this might help. I do know we would have hard drive failures around loud turbines.
The high db Vibrations could cause the read to bounce is probably what's happening here. SSD's are so cheap. They could always run their system to a NAS that's in another room. But SSD's would simply be cheaper and easier.
I wondered if it wasn't the extreme vibrations, magnetic wave ,and frequency, along with no groundings for the vehicle to platform.?I've noticed visual distortions in some cameras when exposed to such.(Not theirs, but in other's such as mine, without anti-shake).I'm sure their computer is well grounded, but how well are the signal wire shielded?Thnx for any answers.
So since this is a vibration issue with the computer components, would putting the hard drive in another room fix this problem the cheapest and fastest?
Hey Brent I just wanted to let you know that I find your videos inspirational. I look forward to the upload, because I find it the most uplifting part of my day. Thanks for sharing your stories with us, the PFI family is huge and I'm glad to be a part of it. I hope that someday I can meet you and it is my goal to have you tune a Honda that I've built.
One thing I have always loved is y’all ain’t afraid to show your best friends enjoying some beers making cars go fast but at the same time when comes down to business y’all put everything aside and get to work 110% keep it up guys y’all are what keeps people like us going!!
@@CatfishAlley Come on man, 50%~ increase NA is impressive, in fact it's more than that because I doubt those motors make 200 @ the wheels from factory. 324whp and they're nowhere near done...
You guys have some serious collective knowledge!!!! It's nice to see humble Without the arrogant attitude like many other engine builders and tuners have... WELL DONE GUYS 🍻
PFI Speed just to let you know you guys are one of the only ones I do no skimp through the videos and love all the builds in how you guys give our info
There's just something about Phongs car that brings back so many memories. I'm an a American muscle guy but back in the mid to late 90s early 2000s we ran rotary engines in our dune buggies and we used to call them Rpm unlimiteds. The sound of an engine screaming at 8 to 12k rpm is unreal and phongs car just brings back all them memories of the parties during Thanksgiving week and the thousands of people with awesome rides and here we were with our yz80s 125s and banshees and rotary powered dune buggies screaming up the dunes what a blast. Then i got married had kids and they took priority. Wouldn't change it for the world though.
When u find yourself a few beers in got pfi on the phone and all motor phong on the tv lol never disappointed watching all these guys over and over you brothers are awesome
Cover the dyno box with some foam to clean up the runs. We had issues with our dyno not grabbing runs and when we insulated the box it started grabbing every run with no issues.
you should build a fan out of a vertical ac blower motor with squirrel cage 110v to pump out your exhaust while on dyno. no more crying no opening door just a flip of the switch.
Is it just me that really gets into Phong videos more than others? There really is something about the love and care he puts into his engine that makes it just sound that little bit more special. His car just seems to sing the song of good vibes for car guys. I'm not a honda guy by any means. My hot rod is actually a F150 with a 518 big block. That said this little K series makes me grin ear to fecking ear. keep giving us more Phong content PFI :D
Like you guys mentioned in the last video, watching this All Motor machine on the Dyno is for more exhilarating than a 600+ HP turbo setup. I can't even imagine what it's like in person. Keep up the awesome work and let's go All Motor Phong! get into the 9's!! God bless 🙏
The hard world of tuning NA engines moving Big cams forward and back is so dangerous, you have to really know what your doing, seeing Phong do that delicate job was amazing. Good Work guys! Love all Motor stuff in my favorite channel of RUclips! Yeahh
Man look here. Phong is one hell of a guy man frfr. You can see the passion when that guy gets down. So precise yet so cautious. Who else you know takes off a Type R valve cover 3 times and still looks brand new. You know when they say “Jack of all trades master off none”. Phone is the Master that jacked allllll trades. #PFI #BoosterBOIZ #PhoneFTW 🔥🔥🚀🚀🤙🤙🔧🔧🖤🖤

Hell yeah man I love these videos, Phong puts together some really awesome machines! He really brings you all together whenever he comes around with these things. Keep up the awesome content!!!
When building a high-revvin' engine, dry sum system with scavenge pump is my advice for today. Scavenge pump is able to create a vacuum inside the crank chamber, and therefore pull out all the escaping gasses from the compression chamber. Also dry sump system is easily cooled, can contain as much of oil as needed, and if built properly, can be easily maintained. When using a lot of fuel, especially methanol, the oil gets diluted fast, and then kill the motor.
Hey Phong, not sure if you read these comments but that CRX is above and beyond! great job you've done. To PFI Speed, you guys are such an amazing inspiration i love it, keep up the AMAZING work
hell no i love listening to Phong's cars with my headphones, that beautiful NA ROAR, AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR! keep making amazing NA cars Phong much love and respect
Wooo!!! Great job all you guys but especially Phong. Great build I love seeing your cars and you with your awesome positivity. Can’t wait to see the Phoenix and what you have planned. Great job on the outtro too
Watching Phong adjust the cams is like watching a virtuoso guitarist change their tunings between songs in 10 seconds. A couple twists of the wrist, and we're on our way!
I love your channel, you guys do some nice stuff. I am a self built self tuned boosted CSS b series, all work done in 1 car garage in the suburbs.. my first self teaching was HOW TO DEGREE MY AFTERMARKET CAMS.......RISKY MOVING EM AROUND ON THAT COMP RATIO......
Thank u for everything u do ever since I started watching your channel I fell in love with racing again and just doing it saver and building something I did have my eg civic stolen and it had just a kswap in it but I loved it but I fell out of the game when it got stolen just watching use guys makes me wanna build again I have a shell just waiting on a motor don’t know wat to do yet thank you again for wat use do

Great job Phong!!! Maybe try to lengthen the intake runners a little by adding a spacer to help straighten the airflow before it reaches the throttle blades, but otherwise you guys do amazing work
Phong wears ear protection as a fashion statement. I love it
It goes without saying, if *Phong* is in the Title it's going to be a bad time for headphone users.
I turn it up, love every second when phong's car or phong is on the channle
Its sounds so sick with good headphones though!!! The mic doesnt hold up to the sheer blast its making!!
It's too loud for the PFI microphones lol
Yes sir lol
Ya hahaha for HeadPHONG user! xD Awsome sound, but we want to you guys have a better mic :D
Phong and Brent are some serious OG’s mad respect to those dudes!

Haha!
I think I speak for the RUclips world and we want to see more of phong on you’re channel or talk him into creating one.
That is what we want, but is it what Phong wants?
I don't think Phong is that kinda guy, I think he likes a humble life without putting himself out there too much.
that was too sweet at the end with that outro
Phong is the maddest guy, love his knowledge & little tips he shows us when building an engine
sam steeno hell ya phong is the dude brother.
Phong needs a media manager then... Let him focus on what he is good at and follow with the camera...
Phong is an amazing builder/engineer/mechanic. Just a overall humble guy. The dynamic duo
