It shouldn’t. Plenty of foams are polyester compatible. Based on the voids I’m guessing they have a mold that they’re pouring some sort of 2-part, high density foam into and then cutting into blocks. Any marine floatation foam should be poly safe, I believe. It ain’t divinycell.
Very unprofessional just look at these peoples how much dirt all around them and how could you work uneven ground like that, hard to believe no shovel for these guys but they are talented
i thing this is kind of form.better to use form then wood because the haul is to thin.the water will broke the wood faster then form.by the way there are talented man
Absolutely the most horrid example of craftsmanship I have ever witnessed. Lazy, no attention to detail, none of the cross members fit the hull.. Shims are used at every point to fill gaps. Amazing this thing floats.
Have you ever visited such countries like this? They dont have what you have. Did you notice their footwear etc. That should tell you they are doing what they can with what they can.
The foam inside the cross members don't really need shims, they do not offer any strength. It is only there to shape the fiberglass as a beam. Symmetry is not critical inside the boat, only on the outside of the hull.
@@josephastier7421 Of course they don't need shims, they need to fix extremely flush to the hull (which they're obviously not) lol. The tabbing they used to tab in the "ribs" is fucking terrrrrrible. When you have gaps and voids like that, it causes the tabbing to delaminate from the hull, weakening the structure, and allowing the hull to fold in on itself and create very very VERRRYYYY long cracks the length of thr hull. Which, obviously, ends up in the boat scuttling/sinking. This is extremely piss poor construction, especially for oceanic boating of any sort. They have good materials, so they definitely have the ability to do it correctly. But, they're just halfass slapping this thing together like 10yr olds.
Stupid comment, they make these to fish to feed thier families. You can tell by the videos they work and probably catch way more fish than you ever could dream of.
I have built a few boats in my life very crude but it works just building out of scraps they have a lot to be proud of
