Apologies for the (somewhat ironic) glitch in the previous version of this video. Your previous comments can be found in the original version here: ruclips.net/video/X6ZqhL7Dt90/видео.html
Pterodactyl cut is still available! 😊
Thanks for linking to the old version. It got a good chuckle out of me to see the glitch on the question about filmmaking.
On November 14th, 2023, “Lateral” re-uploaded a clip about finding a blunder in the movie “Citizen Kane”. What did RUclipsrs find strange about that?
One more time. On November 14th, 2023, "Lateral" re-uploaded a clip about finding a blunder in the movie "Citizen Kane". What did RUclipsrs find strange about that?
i think this has to do with classic tom making a mistake?
Was the issue more with Tom, with the video itself, or something else entirely?
Close, but no. I bet there are other RUclips commenters SCREAMING at their phones right now reading these comments. It’s probably so obvious to them.
I just looked this up and I was not expecting the Pterodactyls to be this extremely obvious. They're HUGE. It's hilarious. I can only imagine that, because they are only seen in silhouette, the filmmakers assumed they were birds, because it's definitely not possible to miss them being there at all.
At some point in the future someone will ask "what blunder is in Lateral with Tom Scott?"
Irony
_Tom Scott and the Diegetic Jungle_ is a great name for a mystery novel.
I'm still shocked that Tom Scott has seen the Peter Jackson King Kong but not the original.
Cut out of the home video versions, huh? I guess you could say they were... [lowers sunglasses] ...pteredacted.
That's a yellow card.
Here I thought it was going to be the Rosebud bit.
(For those who don’t know, the opening sequence makes it look like Kane is alone in the room, which can create some confusion…but later on someone says he was in the room when Kane died)
There's another error with a snow globe. The snow is everywhere in the shot not just inside the snow globe, as I understand it.
That’s what I thought too. I’ve always wondered how everyone knew what Kane’s last word was!
I'm curious if there's a reason why the thumbnail spells the title as "Cityzen Kane."
That's the joke.
@@lateralcast I was hoping it was some deeper reference. 😥
Plausible but false: The single-word answer to the question in this video has a y in it but no i.
Should have just made the pterodactyls canon in the citizen Kane universe
Aha the reupload, nice
the end's fixed! thanks tom!
Wdym?
I'm still confused about rear projection. Does that mean projected into the rear of a scene, or the projector is behind the screen?
Hey, I might know the answer to this! 😂
That was my first thought, and I did!
I wonder if those pterodactyls were in the version I saw a long time ago, I think it was on a VHS rental but it might have been on television.
👍👍
There's also the cockatoo with no eye.
Indiana Jones was stalked by harmless carpet pythons.
They are not pterodactyls, they are prehistoric pelicans.
There is a scene in Citizen Kane where a guy actually has a walking cane.
reupload!
(Blunder)^2
why the reupload?
The previous upload froze up towards the end or something
Because the original had a technical glitch about 40 seconds from the end, where the video froze, and then the audio cut out entirely.
The real blunder in Citizen Kane is that the movie is completely boring.
