I bought my Challenger II from Bronstein's in South San Francisco in 2002. Also bought a Challenger I flugelhorn. Both brand new and it was only $2000 out the door total for both. They were such a steal back then!
B&S is a fantastic manufacturer!!!! All their brass instruments are fine, and the trumpets are 1st class👍 Hopefully they will become better know in the states.
's funny, i always said I'd never have a bach, but I've got a challenger l and, as the name implies, it 'challenges' bach. and i love it, love love love it. i don't care how it compares to bach, the leadpipe, the bell flare, the valve block, nothing, i don't care at all, i just know I'd take a B&S over a bach any day if the week.
This horn under $2K is an absolute STEAL! Order it today at www.austincustombrass.biz/pre-owned-b-s-challenger-ii-3137-2-trumpet-in-clear-lacquer/
I've had my B&S challenger II for 19 years and it still plays and looks great. Couldn't recommend them enough!

What about the Challenger 1? Its quite a bit cheaper. Any significant differences between the Challenger 1 & 2???
