Clinging onto intrigues you don't like because of a risk of losing them via Secrets seems like a limiting approach that hobbled a big chunk of your game - you might have got faction bumps or other stuff you could use immediately, or people may not have been able to go to secrets, or just stolen a card you didn't even use - I reckon next time just chance it!
That snoopers cash in was painful. FWIW you could’ve used infiltrate to smuggling after your mentat play to get you to 9
