My parents in 1975 bought a school bus and we lived in it full time on the road pulling a shop trailer making redwood signs for 22 years full time 22 years I was 14 when the started and went on my own at 18-19 years old t thought we where poor now in 2023 I know we lived best life ever key west to Seattle to San Diago to NY.
I wish you’all happy trails
I love this and the jazz in the back ground is amazing
This is more about having a good relationship and moving forward , I had a girlfriend that would take a year just to argue about what color we should paint something.
Love how you are doing this together 👍🏽❤️
It will be very cosy with this wooden cover. Congratulations. Its so much work.
Absolutely superb! Outstanding work. Your passion and talent is admirable.
All that bending over would have killed my back. Thanks for sharing your experience and hard work!
Looks fantastic so far!! 👍
Two weeks into the first trip with that thing "I'm pregnant"... Damn, gotta sell the bus now, lol
Awesome rig! Looks great!
You did a great job.
Really liked it
I knew a guy who converted diesel pusher busses to motor homes. The key to putting metal in the windows place, is to heat the metal with sun lamps then drill and weld them in place, when it cools, it will be tight/flat surface.
That is awesome. Way to go on innovation!
Nice job. We did a 40 foot dog nose a couple years ago. They are fun. Best of luck to you both.
Great job guys ❤
Excellent job and beginning. I sort of had a feeling you had some welding experience. Great to see your parents lend helping hands.
Wonderful 😉
Hi guys well done so far. You brought some good skills to the job and with help from your family n friends you will save so much money and will know all there is to be able to do repairs. This is a part of your travels and you will be able to look back with great pride. I’ve done similar jobs and wish I still had your fitness and enthusiasm. Keep going. Cheers Laurie from Tasmania oz
Your Girl is a bad ass, you’re so lucky and what an awesome family and your great friend to help. Enjoy drive safe. Peace
Proud of you for no bickering or arguing. Flawless!
Editing is a wonderful thing 😂
Supported fam, keep going guys
Looks like a lot of fun and a whole lot of work for something that is going to shake a part on the road.
It's the engine I'm wondering about. That's a great price but that's because fixing the engine's going to cost 40 Grand this might have been a lot of work for nothing
Nice bro I want to see more of your vlog
Incredible work 😮
수고하셧습니다
자 이제출발~~~❤
Dang, those kinds of bluebirds weren’t even made until 2008! Unless it had to hood-swap, which happened to my school’s 112! Fun fact! I used to ride 112
Just realized I live in the place they bought the bus from lol
Great job but hey I can’t help but to think… it’s like your journey is actually more preparing than actually traveling.. I hope that you guys will be able to use the bus for the time that is much longer than you guys spent prepping the bus.
amazing work🎉👍
OH MY GOD!!! Your seats use bolts?
I had to grind 4 steel rivets from each of the seats, in my 37ft bus! Huge job.
Well done!
OMG I can't wait to see!!
two years in the last ten seconds
A talent!
That's a big job. I'm shore you do for your height. Pray you keep the bus. God bless mick Australia. Just join. Thum up. 👍
Living the dream 🙏
Молодцы ребята! Девочка вообще герой! 😊 Респект!
Great project! Its goona be sweet!
School busses and Uhaul truck's frames, suspensions, and drivetrain are built like tank's. Most have no idea.
Thanks for the decent background music. Far too many videos have annoying music/noise that HAS to be muted. Great Video!
Good job 👍👍👍
many thanks guys
Wow!!! More please!!
Just WOW
My dream is also to have a caravan like that..even i don't have a house and i only have that it's really really ok to me to stay there❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!
Respect!
Amazing work great job😊😊😊
Great vid
Incredible .. love it. Dr William Mount
I wished my last two years had passed in ten minutes.
Огромная, сложная работа. Вы большие молодцы. Благослови вас бог.
Nice frend
I am for you all that your so proud of it but I am never going to do that!
This is so cool. I hope to do something similar someday :)
Thanks! It’s quite the journey!
Someday never comes. Do it now.
@@maddyandzach 🎉😂
Awesome!
Hi from Ukraine 🎉
Hi from America,,, just wondering, are you guys still being attacked?
That's wicked
I hated removing those tracks in my bus! That was one of the worst parts with the exception of the 10,000 rivets I had to remove. Hahaha
Lol that is so relatable haha
😂 skoolie. Sounds so funny.
You guys are doing a great job 👍
Longer videos! 👍🏻🇺🇸
Salve casal de construtores tá ficando top, está casa.
I would have just put down new sheathing on the floor and saved weeks of work and back braking labor.
Well done guys, keep up the great work
Thanks!
👍🏻👍🏻the school district called wants their bus back 😄😄😄😄
The weight of the wood decreases has milage very significantly. Did it to van in late 70s miles per gl.was nuts like 6 pr 8 mpgs. Just saying and in the mountains lololololol 3or4 mpgs. A bus has to be worse. Looks great no question the question is are you driving or docking. That's what will really matter. Financially.
What is the year and model of the bus, I’m curious cause that seems like a perfect size for me
It's a 2008 Bluebird vision. Its 29 feet long!
Take out the seats, put carpet in the floor, paint the inside and then decide what you want it to look like inside.
nobody talks about making these quiet.
I have seen old school busses converted into nice camping mobile homes with 2 bedrooms bath kitchen
You have to have a plan and follow through
3,300?! That’s honestly pretty decent
Gonna find em cheap. Cuz taking them apart and completely redoing the inside is hella expensive
I think that about the average right now, from what I've seen lately
No way you can even find one running for that price. Definitely not one that clean.
Cost of bus? Wonder what budget was
A running pre-2005 skoolie with seat rows, little rust, factory paint, working cond... $8000-10000
What did you do with all those seats? You could have made them into seating for booths just have to add the table. Food for thought. That is a School bus.
👏👏👏
Where did you guys buy your bus?
Off the website Govdeals and we got it from a school district in Alabama
That's really neat to see that being done. Like to see it in a full video, at normal speed.
T.V. be like.. Okay!.. We need this bus tore down and rebuilt, and it has too be done in 3 days! 😳 🤬
Great job but mostly I enjoy that you guys live the adventure together I do question the overall weight of the finished home I feel some lighter material could have been used
This is amazing, such a patience and hard work. Did you do this as part time work or full time?
I live in limestone county!
Good job! But the 'broken record' you were playing nearly cost me my sanity!
Amazing how you guys accomplished this in 10 minutes :)
2years😂
Good 👍
Why didn’t you go over the rubber floor?
I love you both you guys have a good vibe together
What’s the easiest way to get the bus windows out when they have rivets??
Probably an air chisel. If you have an air compressor you just need the chisel attachment and it's not to expensive.
Would it have been cheaper in the long run to find a used Greyhound bus and convert it? They are built to handle many more miles.. BTW you guys are doing a great job... If that is Limestone Tn, I'm just up the street...
👍👍
I'm from India (shillong) 😊😊😊
Mais um inscrito.
The bus says limestone county are you guys close to Mexia? If so that makes this even more awesome!
Sadly no, we got it in Alabama.
@@maddyandzach still love your content either way. I am definitely tuned in and will always remain a subscriber 😊
Super cool. Love it. What floor heating system was used and was it a worth it?
We used an Espar D5e heater and it works amazing! Kept us warm even when well below freezing.
Aren't you insulating the walls/floor/ceiling? I didnt see you putting in any sort of sound proofing either. Surely that will make the bus really echoey??
We insulated the walls and ceiling with 2 inches of closed cell spray foam and have 2 inches of rigid foam on the floor. We also put killmats throughout.
@@maddyandzach Oh I missed that bit 🤣🤣
No heat insulation?
I know let’s become bloggers that’s a great idea I suppose why not better than a real job
👏👏👍
Why not leave the existing insulated roof/walls/ceiling and the bigger and more numerous windows that are already installed?
The bus would be very poorly insulated if we did that. We took all that out and put in spray foam and RV windows so the bus stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer. This is going to be our home so we need it to be comfortable.
@@maddyandzach Gotcha. Makes sense.
Interesting build, but a question...
With all the wood in the ceiling, doesn't that make this thing incredibly top heavy? I drive the full size version of these things for my local school district, and just having a bunch of luggage in the students' seats with them makes my bus roll in the corners terribly.
Man these bots are so weird commenting on this about some “mrs.Sonia” and not appreciating the video and the Timelapse of amazing transformation
I’m thinking why what’s the MPG on that thing
I would have liked to watch the footage not in fast motion. Actually in slow motion to watch her. Mannnnnnnnnnnn what a specimen. Wow. Definition of beauty.
Take it easy creepy, why not just run off and find your lotion bottle with your thoughts to yourself. Always has to be that guy. Couldn’t just say wow she’s beautiful and I’m not talking about the bus. ?
@@fargoalspach557 I was being complimentary! An absolute beauty! Admiring her like a beautiful sunset or mountain scene....
Bro wtf...
A specimen? Your entire comment is ignorant and predatory. Honestly...wtf dude.
Where do I go to place my order in for the next bus? 😁
Where were you able to obtain the skoolie from at such a price? Would love to know.
We got it at a Government auction site called govdeals!
@@maddyandzach Thanks!
