Definitely. At the French I felt he got shown up a bit, like he was a one-trick pony with just massive groundstrokes. On clay that sort of game gets slowed down, and it comes down to what else you have in the way of artistry. But on hard courts, he looks formiddable. Amazing week for Sonego, too!

Won't be surprised at all, if he even goes on to win the year end Nitto ATP Finals this year....☝️ His dedication to play every point like it's the last one is second to none. He reminds me more of Nikolay Davydenko on that front...👍I believe, having been failed to win Next Gen ATP title a few years ago, he goes one step further to secure his biggest title so far by cliching the 2020 ATP Finale...🙆 His sublime form of late is undoutedly gonna be a rough patch for other 07 players, I guess. I love Rublev and it's a great season from him. But I think it's difficult to compare his achievement of five titles to the four titles of Novak Djokovic. Rublev won two ATP250 (where most top players weren't present because they played the ATP cup) and three ATP500. Djokovic won a ATP500, two ATP1000 and a Grand Slam. It's a great season from both, but I don't like comparing it to each other.

Imagine for a few moment a wawrinka (the one that came up when facing djokovic, not the other XD) with the worked consistency to play that level at least half of the year... or every player speed up his game or this guy will eat a huge amount of them ...

It probably won't happen. Rublev seems to be here to stay! More complete game already than Daniil, better touch and ofc he is the aggressor in his matches, which Medvedev usually isn't. You can get used to Medvedev, you can't get used to Rublev, if he keeps getting better with the kind of easy power he possesses.

@@badrunlucky5298 How do you know he is not a hard worker? Just because he doesn't post videos on social media flaunting his routine practice doesn't mean he doesn't put his skin into the game. I knew there was something special about Rublev when I saw him crush balls last year during one of his practice sessions before Davis Cup. It was at that point that I knew this lad's forehand will be murderous in future. It's paying dividends now. He came up from a deterring injury two years ago and his ascension has been an inspiration ever since his encounter with Roger. His forehand swing kind of looks torturous for his back, but as long as it's working, he will be a threat on court.
