You should come check the atlantic wall blockhaus in the french brittany coast near quiberon gavre lorient... btw what is your camera setup , the picture is very crisp.
+Youdig many thanks for the comment, I will be going to France to visit bunkers at some point soon and I can't wait :) the camera I use is the Sony action cam with lcd screen. Great small camera :)
I think that was an Anti Air mount, most locations like that usualy had at least one, to protect from bomber fire, or if all else went wrong, invasion.
I remember these when they were at the top.... The one broken in half was the original CHL and the the antenna was mounted on the top the large bolts and ashfelt pads are still there.... The Gererator house was a later edition and buried so as the emissions would not interfere with the radar.... I never worked out the what was on top of the BOP... Probably a range finder as it was the earliest bit... At one time it was disguised as a house... So that could explain the large bolts.
+Andyb2379 hello there, check this web site out: www.subbrit.org.uk/location has some great sites on there :) hope that helps :) thanks for the comment :)
+Bunker Spotters yeah is a crazy location! lots of houses have been lost by the cliff falling into the sea and even a church so im told :S so sad :( thanks for the comment :)
I remember going in here when it was still on the cliff. The generator controls were still on the wall with a sign saying Lister, the maker of the diesel engines.
Great vids...I live just round the corner from here, if you had carried on round the beach there is a sound mirror there...Some great stuff on sheppey from ww2...Give us a shout when you are planning your next visit.
+Curacao Life [Urban Explorations] I would love to be there when the sea is rough! that was be fun :) I be it gets real rough :D thanks for the comment :)
You forgot to mention the uss Montgomery and the sub wreck and raf camp and prison. The battery wae built on approach to Thames as this is the way bombers and v1s flew. Over to London as river was easy to follow on moonlit nights
Around the corner westwards there where sound mirrors i saw about 30 years ago going into the mud... You can visit the heritage center in Sheerness as they have some good books like Barbed wire island etc and one by a guy named Alan muscle-white that covers all the downed aircraft on the island... Anyway; lowering the tone, i was sitting by those bunkers when fossil hunting a few years ago and some tall handsome guy walked past as bold as brass completely butt naked; I was like o.m.g, but i did smile...😜😘😘
we have a warden point battery on the isleofwight, , , but most of it has been built on only a small amount remains today, , great vid guys.

Can I ask how you find the old bunkers? I'm keen to look for a map or something that can tell me where they are in Sussex & surrey? Thanks

+David Sirett lol it would be amazing to have a bunker like this :) thanks for the comment :)
I went to school with someone whose family owned a Martello Tower / German Keep en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Saumarez

+Aaron Baxter not a lot I would think:)
+IKS Exploration - Fridays 10AM prob right.
Visited these bunkers today 12/12/21. Unfortunately the observation bunker has stated to break into two
Omg really will have to make a trip back someday for a revisit
This reminds me of a smaller version of Vigsø Beach in Denmark which is littered by 15-20 German bunkers that have fallen from the cliffs.
+Willz cool will have to look into exploring that :)
hi I live on sheppey and use the roof of the bunker as a fishing platform
+george luckhurst Oright cool, thanks for the comment :)
