I’m a pistons fan and hate what Monty has done. 38 games into the season and we have not once seen an Ivey, Cade, Ausar, bogey, Duren lineup…but we see Isaiah livers starting
Cade Ivey and bogie can shoot. The issue before was instead of Ivey we had Killian and stew and nobody would respect their 3 point attempts. It may not be GSW spacing but it’s enough to let Cade and Ivey operate
I would rather see Ausar traded thsn have to play under this coach. He was getting accolades as possible top defensive player and all rookie team, then he gets benched? Makes no sense.
@@DetroitEastthe entire team is a liability. Let's lose 20 instead of 30. We still lose EVERY GAME. If the pistons don't want to play him for whatever really stupid reason, send him down to the G league
Im so fucking sick of Monty Williams. What he has done to these kids in his never ending attempts to get fired is fucked up and I hope that hes blacklisted from the NBA for this.
Its already too late. At their 4th game cade and killian started looking him off while he was wide open constantly and that completely killed his confidence. He started missing way worse like air balls every game after that. Then just stopped shooting all together.

We don't have an Ausar Thompson problem - we have a Monty "freaking" Williams problem. Monty was clearly telling the truth when he told Gores that he didn't want to be coaching this season - because I sure can't call what Monty is doing - "coaching." There is NOTHING to play for this season EXCEPT development and evaluation of our young core - yet Monty's incomprehensible lineups, substitutions and minutes distribution remain the biggest obstacle to playing and developing our college aged core. So instead we get Monty playing Livers and Burks - two players who won't even be on the team next year. Get Monty out of here - pullleezzzeee!
The piston’s organization take for granted the presence of a legit veteran center. Thompson and Duren and even Wiseman could use someone like a And a Man a Rasheed Wallace or Kenyon Martin in the organization to give them tips and share experiences and if they actually had a veteran center/PF they could learn directly the little but important things like how to rebound better and deflecting the ball better and tipping the ball and around the rim types of shots like the baby hook shot and using the backboard more often and baby floaters
That's because More than Likely the "Higher Ups" want Victor W as the #1 consensus ROY then Chet H after him. Though it was early in the season, it was looking like Thompson was on a trajectory to be a contender for ROY along with both Holmgrem and VIctor. So what happened? The P's that B heads were probably exploding at that thought. "What? Another potential Dennis Rodman; and he's with the Pistons too! Oh no! We can't have that!" I wouldn't be a bit surprised if word from the top came down on that tip. I mean Ima' Pistons fan from way back, 1969. And I/we know there will Nevuh' Evuh' be another Rodman! The Pistons need spacing around Cade and this is the bottom line. The only non shooter on the floor should be Duren.
@@DetroitEastNot really. Go back and watch closer. The issue wasn't so much that teams were helping off Ausar but the sets themselves. The biggest issue before Bogey got back was that they didn't even try to run multiple actions and ran Spain maybe three times and rarely used handoffs so Cade was always attacking into a set defense. No one would look good doing that. (Go watch Boston's stagnant offense against Miami last year.) The secondary problem is they would exacerbate the lack of shooting by slotting Killian and Ausar together on the weak side which made it easy to bring a third defender to Cade. It made it very easy for the defense to concede a three to one of them since the low guy would just sit in Ausar's cutting lane Because Ausar is such a good cutter if you have him by himself on the wing it's a guaranteed dunk if his man leaves him because he'll cut and Cade will find him. Between his cutting, finishing, passing and rebounding there is enough there for him to be a positive under a coach who has even a little creativity. But if you try to use him like Grant Williams that's just not going to work. He's also rarely in the dunker spot which is stupid and they should use him in pick and roll, like how Brooklyn used Bruce Brown. Anyway, it boils down to coaching more than anything. (Although playing two non shooting guards together *IS* untenable.)
Get rid of Hayes Livers Harris and Wiseman, draft Walter, Williams or Risacher. We need shooting and paint/rim protection plus we need to be better at help defense, rotations, and p&r defense basically defense as a whole
Monty literally has started Killian Hayes who starting gives them anywhere from 2-10 points on extremely inefficient volume, Killian Hayes needs to be benched, you can even play Ausar as a PF and he'd have a ton of impact. The pistons are doomed if they don't remove Monty from the team.
Even the commentators are disingenuous about the brothers talent and ineptitude in coaching these two brothers. Maybe the betting would be affected by their talent. People bet from peewee league on up so don’t expect the pro’s to be any different. The Thompson brothers are bonafied gems they dare not put them together to play.
The NBA sucks because the main skill..shooting…is optional. It’s all about height, size and athleticism. In tennis, you have to be able to serve to be a pro. In football..you cannot be a receiver who does not catch that well. In baseball you need to hit. It is not optional UNLESS you are a pitcher. Basketball is a joke because athleticism and size substitute for the main skill..shooting. How on EARTH can so many dudes play basketball and not shoot?!?! It’s bizarre.
Monty hates young players and especially young players with talent. He's a phony coach, he'll just sit there with a blank, dumb look on his face. He also picks one shitty player as his favorite as long as he's a bench player. He destroyed and alienated deAndre ayton for us( yes, i'm a suns fan) and i feel for you guys. He conned your organization in thinking he's an nba coach just like he did in phoenix. You need to get rid of him as soon as posdible before he pushes alk your young talent to ask for trades.
Say what you want about Killian, but trying to say that he isn't a creator (the one thing he was actually really good at) just demonstrates that you never actually watched the Pistons. 😂😂😂
Bruh its called the rookie wall. He benched himself with all the air balls and TO's. He's back and playing OK. Sorry you cant play the 3 and teams dont respect your jump shot. Your show numbers but not using logic.

At least Ausar brings something to the court.

Agreed
Most definitely
it is hilarious that Hayes is still getting 30 minutes a game
