Always love your podcasts! Glad you’re hanging in there with your husband’s recovery - not easy to manage so much without him. Hope everything else is great!! ❤
How lovely to follow along with you on your day. Your shop looks so busy--how wonderful to have that community. And, I commend you with such a hectic life with 3 kids and an impaired husband that you have any time to knit!! Thanks for taking us along!
Regarding crochet… As the very wise Jake the Dog from Adventure Time once said, “Sucking at something is just the first step to being sorta good at something.” It’s my daily mantra. 😂
Justine, you are doing an amazing job of balancing all the things! I had a taste of what it is like to handle life with an injured husband. Thankfully that was many years ago - a memory. You do what you need to do and I know you have times of pure exhaustion.....however, you are strong and can do it. What a great example for your kids. I LOVE your knitting projects. I can crochet a little - cannot read patterns so I continue to knit and knit....and keep learning new knitting ways. That pink in your granny squares is just gorgeous and I am not usually a "pink" lover. BTW, I LOVE the Skein Scoop podcast too and always look forward to everything you and Lori talk about.....I watch lots of podcasts and they have provided a lot of knitting information AND lots of inspiration! Thank you for sharing your life and your fiber adventures. (May your husband heal faster than expected)!🧶
I also knit socks all the time. They are just so portable and mindless. Great “waiting around” project. Love all the stuff you are working on, Justine. Your Lento is stunning!
Great to “see” you, lorie! Congrats to hubs on stitches removal (I’m an RN of 30 yrs, I like the gross!). Also, happy teachers appreciation week! It’s also nurses week & happy Mother’s Day! Hugs from Ohio!!! ☺️🩷🧶🫶🏻
I always have socks on the needles (rn Socks for Dumbledore and Drippity Drop). I’ve never had second sock syndrome. I am on round 3 of the border of the Battenberg blanket. Used 4-round crochet squares and made 460 squares, so the FO will be 8’x7’ 😬 I used to keep the project in that same Atenti bag that I bought from Skein Yarn Shop, but project outgrew the bag. Used 2023 Greenlambkin Yarn Advent. Thanks for an entertaining podcast.
I knit and crochet.. I think your crocheting looks lovely, perfect. I love both skills.... Loved the video so much, can't wait for more - PLEASE!!! Happy Mother's Day!!!!
Your Lento looks beautiful and I agree that it seems like a very wearable sweater. I always have a pair of socks on the needles - they are a perfect “waiting” project. Hope your husband is making good progress in his recovery.
such a lovely little snippet of life and knitting ❤ Your Lento is soooo beautiful and love your advent socks. I'm a sock knitter too, was working on Mermaid Avenue by Summer Lee as I watched 🧦
Missed you guys yesterday. Hope to see you Thursday. I have never seen upstairs at Skein before. For some reason, I thought it was a lot bigger up there. Also, I so badly want to be a sock person with you! I am working on it! 😅🧦🧦🧶 Baby Steps!!!!
I was just thinking it had been a while since we heard from you! Glad you popped on with a little something, so fun to see all your projects and your kiddos. Best of luck to you and your husband. Mine has been down for a bit, too, so I totally understand having to take everything over
I really want to crochet the Battenburg blanket too. I was dreaming of doing it in reds, greens, whites as Christmas colors I have the Pink Christmas advent too and had knit an anthology blanket with it, but I wasn't happy with it so I frogged it a couple weeks ago. I'm seriously thinking about using that pink advent now in a Battenburg. I don't have much time coming up over summer and I'm not great at crochet, so I don't know but thank you for the inspiration! Cant wait to see your progress.
I’m always knitting a pair of socks. I’ve got 2 on the needles right now. One of these days I’m going to come in to sit and knit, maybe I’ll wind up the LYS day yarn and work on another pair!
Love crochet ! Just started the mini granny square blanket it’s only 2 rounds ( ends up about a 1 &1/2 in. Sq) . It’s a very interesting join as you go join. It’s by Emma c makes.

I love your crochet blanket. I remember watching you open the skeins . The pinks are just so pretty!

Great to see you again! Glad the hubby is healing nicely. I usually have several pairs of socks on the go! Love doing socks.
Thanks for sharing your day. Loved seeing all your projects. Wow you are busy. I would have had to take a nap at some point. 😊
Thanks for sharing your day. Your Lento sweater is beautiful!
So funny I just picked up yarn to crochet my granddaughter a granny square blanket for a summer blanket. Purples and whites. Happy day! You inspire.
