Yeah, Nanika is the automatic win here. Being able to do basically anything is world breaking. I'm surprised that ability is in HxH in the first place.
She is the most terrifying nen user. Not gonna lie if this is just a taste of what nen entities from the dark continent are capable of, imagine the devastating if beyond or any of the unsavory characters got their hands on such entities
@@tomgu2285 If Killua asks it would be done much easier. In fact it literally wouldn't matter, you can make anyone else ask the wish. In fact ZOldyck family has used this multiple times by kidnapping tourists with no connection to them and forcing them to ask for the wish or take on the requests to die so it can be reset. But I think Nanika can for sure one shot any being in the series and without them being able to do anything.
Small correction on Meruem, Togashi recently made a big thing about Nen, re-explaining parts of it and clarifying the Nen affinities for a couple characters. Meruem was notes as an Emitter of all things shockingly, Komugi an Enhancer.

Love Nen as a power system. Freaky to think most things on the Dark Continent are classified as more dangerous than the ants. Nanika at the top is absolute for now I feel... Never would have expected something that powerful to appear and of course it's in the body of a child. Really hope we get into DC arc someday
The reason the Dark Continent danger rankings only has the ants as B tier is because when they start off in their evolution they’re not THAT BAD. Just extremely deadly insects. Because they ate humans and then developed Nen they would probably be classified as an A tier threat. Meruem was definitely A tier or higher. Meruem could probably survive the Dark Continent alone with some struggles.
What most fans dont get is that ranking is based off how can a creature in dark continent can affect or even endanger human existence in general. Most top tier Hunter dont have problem surviving in Dark Continent, Netero once mentioned that there is no challenge in Dark Continent, but the creatures that follows have abilities to annihilate the normal humans with relative ease such as spreading disease. Ants on the other hand are concentrated mass of power and evolution, Royal Guards and especially Mereum could eliminate Top Tier Hunters such as Netero.
That's what I loved the most. After she healed gone all she wanted was killuwa to tell her she did good. She loved his praise and wanted to please him because she loved him so much. I thought that was just so adorable
No it's an anime only thing in the maga she/he just said something about gon could hurt the king and the royal guard is very protective to the king like a mother to her child or more if something just even scratch the king the royal guard likely either immediately try to dispose the threat Other things I want to talk about is netero being a better nen user than the king because meruem just mostly use his strength combine with simple a ten his hatsu is to steal the aura of the nen user he ate so overall even if the king got so much more aura than netero or if it's just fight between the character then we pretty much all know what gonna happen to netero 🗿

Forgor to add the obvious question marks added to Ging. Togashi could've not mention Ging but he deliberately added him lol. Also, when I saw netero as pure enhancer I immediately questioned why he got guanyin which is a conjurer/manipulator ability. Then togashi further added a nen proficiency great, intermediate, genius, ultimate making the system more complicated
The thing not mentioned about Nanika's ability is that if it makes wish about healing/helping someone it resets its 3 conditions to pretty simple tasks, it doesnt matter if wish is hard af to accomplish as we saw in Gon's case, most proficient nen exorcist were devastated by the mere looks of the curse on Gon
So you’re basically saying is as long as the wish is selfless, then the task won’t end up, killing or murdering them. But if the wish is selfish, lol roaming there then the favors that Nanika will ask the person will essentially end up, killing or murdering them. Am I correct?
8:55 Pitu didn't "easily" decapitated Kite, the fight was probably not as one sided as people think. Both the battlefield and Pitou herself showed wounds and damage. The fact that she wanted another fight is an indication that it was a not a close match. Also remember that Neteros attack didn't even inflict a scar.
@@henazz2561 On Pitu they are significant. The king tried to kill her and only manage to draw some blood. Netero used his ability and only manage to send her flying. No wounds. Pitu wanted rematch which means the fight was exciting. And all that for a one handed Kite, a person respected by even Ging.
I usually say the same thing! Pitou kept Kite’s body because they said they’ve really never had a fight like that and wanted to fight Kite again. If you really look into it that was the whole reason for them creating the healing Dr Blythe ability because they wanted to try to fix Kite so they could fight him again! So with all that being said I don’t think they would go that far just to try to fix or bring someone back to life that was weak and wack at that! Man Pitou was literally holding that man Kite’s head in their lap stroking his head saying how much they really wanted to fight Kite again because he was so strong and they’ve never had a fight like they did with him! So I’d personally say it’s safe to say it wasn’t as one sided as people may think. And Kite had one arm at the time! Honestly I thought everyone knew (for the most part) that it was not one sided, just by the way Pitou talking about Kite and how strong he was!
@@ThiVasss The king didn't "try" to kill her. He swatted her away like a bug and expected her to get squashed. Not really very similar to Kite fighting all out. Also Pitou got excited because that's the strongest opponent she fought to date, doesn't mean she was in danger.
To me, the concept of Nen classification is similar to some MMORPG wherein you have a stat points that you can distribute to different types (ex: VIT,STR,DEX). This means that nen users can learn other nen types but their mastery of one specific type lessens as they distribute their stats to other types. Those who is purely in one type has higher mastery since all stats are poured in to just that nen type.
its not only that but the fact that your imagination is the limit of your powers which is pretty broken and pretty fair made system. Also you can condition yourself into getting stronger ability and "nen after death" thing is op too
One big mixup- Adult Gon is actually stronger than Netero and maybe stronger than Meruem. Pitou makes it clear that kid Gon is special and always feels uneasy for some reason around him (after the first interaction). Then, after Gon’s transformation, Pitou finally realizes why and clearly admits that Adult Gon could kill the king, Meruem. Netero didn’t really have a chance, the fight only went on cause Meruem had respect for Netero and wanted to talk. Adult Gon had the potential to not just fight Meruem too, but win as well. So I’d say Adult Gon is actually higher than both- especially since his fight with Pitou only lasted one punch😂
And if Gon got to adulthood the "normal" way, he would get iven stronger and with much more refined technique. We probably won't see it, but Adult Killua would be a beast awell, since he is regarded as the Zodyak with the most potential.
He's around the level of pre-rose Meruem, specifically. Post-rose is beyond comparison for anyone except for Nanika (who remains very clearly still superior). Although, I doubt Gon could actually beat Meruem in this form, as Meruem's intelligence both in general and in battle are beyond what the child's mind can match. If Gon actually grew up and got the experience that led to that power, it could be a different story, though.
@@altsadhara True, and it is not even Gon's actual adult potential. It's a Nen covenant that amps the power immensely for a limit. Very likely the real adult Gon will not get close to that power level. Not to mention Meruem could've become a lot stronger if he was feeding and not starving himself playing Gungi most of the time. He had a true unlimited potential.

I think the "wish granting" ability is Alluka and not Nanika. But since Nanika is implied to come from the dark continent as one of the calamities brought back, perhaps Nanika's aura is the fuel for this power. Without Nanika, wishes that are able to be granted may be very simplistic. What a neglected child would want. More toys. A kind brother. A smile. And consequences would be very mild. Like a paper cut or tripping and falling. But when fueled with the aura of Nanika, the wishes can be much greater and the consequences much worse - particularly when the wish is at a level that requires Nanika's aura (those twisted up and compressed humans look entirely like what is implied to be a dark continent calamity, presumably Ai's power). It is possible an Ai was brought back with Zigg and then when the Zoldycks discovered Alluka was a child genius who became a specialist as a ?toddler? they put Ai the symbiote into her to see if they could amp her power and then unfortunately realized too late it became way too powerful and dangerous and they locked her away. They have cameras in her room, do "experiments", and take notes of what happens. as for Killua, he does comment on knowing which one is demanding consequences (Alluka vs Nanika) so he might have in some part figured this difference out and thus can avoid the worst consequences. With respect to Gon's life saving. It is interesting that we are not shown much of what actually happens during this moment. Killua may have asked Nanika to make a deal. And he traded in something he values more than his own life to get this accomplished and Nanika accepted that rather than killing him. I wonder if this is why Killua finally left Gon. Maybe the deal was to let go of his friendship with Gon and stay by Alluka/Nanika's side. I know that thematically in the story, their departure helped to symbolize a bit of growing up and growing apart and was part of the consequences of the hurtful things Gon said to Killua in front of Pitou, but Killua did forgive Gon and there isn't a completely logical reason why they can't still adventure together. So maybe this was the restriction Killua needed to enact to draw out Nanika's boost onto Alluka's power? Just a thought. If Alluka's power is amped by Nanika's aura, she could be neutralized/powered down by removing/extracting Ai or killing Ai (if anything of these things are possible). Maybe one day, Nanika may choose to leave Alluka and return her to a "normal" nen user status. This would allow Alluka to live a normal life and not be the target of her family and other people who develop malicious intent with the desire to control her and use this power. Either way, I don't think there are no consequences to God like abilities in this world. Many times Togashi has shown characters trying for figure out what is happening and sometimes they get it frankly wrong. So everything we think we "know" about Alluka/Nanika may not even be correct. Hopefully we will one day get more answers. :)
Wow what about Illumi then...i mean look at that aura he displayed when Nanika was healing Gon. He was hiding his true abilities and aura until the very end and he has never gone all-out with his power, i guess he didn't make the list.

The Nen system got updated and now individuals can be inbetween categories, plus the revelation of some characters' specialties. Meruem is an Enchancer for example.

Nen is the best power system ever. It's not like one of those that the characters are born with their abilities. Nen gives it's user freedom of how the user want his/her nen to become.
Not going to lie, i think leorio could be the strongest nen user. Just due to how Devastating his emitting powers could become. Mind you he originally intended to use it for medical treatment. the idea of using nen to enter the body in order to perform surgery. Opens up a lot of insanely devastating potential. Like sure, the chimera ant king is powerful. But if you could target his brain directly. Stabbing it from the inside. Would he be able to even do anything about it? Further more if he did things such as damage the spine, heart any other major organs. could it even be able to survive that? Mind you most defense relies on a hard outer layer to protect the vital components of the body. but if you could bypass said layer their would be nothing that could stop you. granted i doubt leorio would ever get a chance to show this out. due to the creators lack of focus and his character being viewed as a joke. But still it is a fascinating thing to think about.
It simply wouldnt work if leorio doesnt have enough nen to back it up, a stronger nen aura would simply block it if the said subject doesnt permit leorio to invade their internals.
I think Nen is the strongest Aura based power because of Authority. A enhancer can just have an ability of "Invincible Durability" and set a rule to make it happen.
Isn't there a rule regarding being unable to make Conceptual weapons? You might be able to make a blade that can split steel, but not a sword that can cut anything.

Nanika's ability's backlash rule only applies to SELFISH or EVIL wishes, if the wish was good in nature, there will be no bad backlash Or am I thinking of a different ability?

Full power gon at current potential was a hole class above everyone on this list dude. Catboygirl was stated too be a near match for netero. Also post Mortem catboygirl was likely why.

Nannika is fine for number 1, as you said, it's not confirmed as nen but that's not a big deal I guess. I would say though, adult transformed Gon is considerably more powerful than Netero and from Pitou's reaction and thoughts as she's killed it could be pretty fair to assume Gon in that form was probably more powerful than Meruem too. At least before consuming his royal guard. Meruem tried to kill Pitou with that tail strike and barely injured her, Netero gave her one of his harder hits with the bodhisattva and she wasn't really hurt at all but adult Gon essentially crippled her with one kick. It's probably the most powerful nen display in the entire series.

A is the highest rank though mainly that rank is achieved because they don't know how to defeat you. Chimera ants had a solution. Just nuke them or poison them. Even the king that survived a huge nuke like bomb at point blank range still got offed by the poison as did two of his royal guards. The bomb would have killed the guards. They were stronger than humans but could killed by humans in some way. Hence a single country could defeat them within reason. Humans themselves are either A or B rank on the nation level because certain nations are superior to other ones and even the strong nation would have trouble defeating an exact copy of itself. The Big Five Threats have no known way of dealing with them so they are mostly A rank. They somehow captured Ai(Nanika is probably Ai) and brought it back but its still killing people. Ai is unkillable gaseous lifeform that kills you even when locked up and theres possibly more than one. Pap turns humans into dolls and controls them. They don't even know what it looks like or how many so they don't have a solution. It may be more or less dangerous than the Chimera Ants, but the unknowns in combination with its known killing potential put it A. Hellbell makes your own forces murder themselves and could be a species rather than an individual. It was seen but by the time it is seen again you might already be dead. There doesn't seem to be a way to locate and destroy it without being killed or being controlled. Unknowns put it at A but that could be revised with more information. Brion is a species, just a potentially more dangerous one than the chimera ants. They think its doable to defeat them so B+. Zombae is literally the zombie apocalypse disease. B+ threat. So only three A ranks in the big five and two of those are because they don't even know if its a species but one of them can kill thousands. The other is top nen user on this list, has god tier powers surpassing the king, and is unkillable. Furthermore, there might be more than one which would explain Nanika or even their capture it solution doesn't work and Nanika is the only Ai.
Nen is available to everyone with training in the hunter x hunter universe. Also, recently, we have found out that the 6 points of nen are points of a star and people can be between touching affinities at a split %.
I haven't seen Hisoka full crazy, so that's a questionable 10th. Although, he was indeed beaten by Chrollo in the comics in heaven's arena, he was able to revive himself crazy shit. And Ging's ability is a watered-down version of Chrollo's ability but without the restrictions of the book. Pair that with his incredible insight, he's easily a match for Netero and Meruem.
I hope togashi would uncover some mysteries surruounding alluka .like how did nanika posess her ,did she chose alluka for a reason or how did she escaped from the dark continent and is it possible that he came to the known world by the time zigg and netero came home from the dark continent .and would that explain why she would chose a zoldyck?

Gon's mature form need to be at least number 2. Meruem hit the Pitou with the intention of killing her and Pitou dont even get a serious damage But Gon;s mature form basicly kill Pitou with 1 hit(moreover Pitou calculate and tell this form stronger than king and she is glad that gond spend time with killing her not the king) Ofcourse it was avery short temporary boost so we can argue but if we put as mature form it need to be at the top

Pitou stated "He has reach the level of the Kings". And that was just the first boost, and his power level is growing as time goes by thus making Pitou decides to finish him off as early as possible but Gon evaded his full scale attack and didn't even detect or see Gon's movement. Was kicked midair and killed instantly by his Jajanken upon landing. Gon was just attacking him continuously due to his hatred. Pitou was thankful Gon was targeting him instead of Meruem as his fangs might reach him and prolly kill him, his nen ability is to grow enough nen just to kill whoever he wants to kill in exchange for not being able to use Nen the rest of his life. If you read manga, and understand you will know. Explained it to you so you understand it easily coz' it seems you only watch reels and bandwagon about it so how will you know? Haha
My hot take is that Komugi should be up for discussion. This is the only character to consistently beat Meruem. Obviously this is a non combat ability, but it's one of the most impressive feats we've seen against him.
shes only good at one game because she made a contract to be the best at it lol anyone can do that for anything like how even though kurapika was new as fuck and weak compared to the spiders he was still able to beat them because a nen contract

Idk why people consider gon one of the strongest because of his transformation. He made a contract to gain power in exchange for his life, something any nen user could technically do but don't for obvious reasons
Nen has always felt like a very technical more realistic detailed version of Ki abilities in The Dragon Ball universe im not sure why but its always given me that feeling
Second strongest is adult gon and here is why The are 2 parts, part 1 is with the one adult gon we saw and part 2 is something else Part 1 Even in base, pitou stated "if i don't take care of him, his fangs might reach the king" After gon transformed ptiou said "no i was wrong, he would most defenetly sink his fangs into the king if i don't stop him" which has been stated by someone who was by meruem 24/7 Part 2 Gon's contract allowed him to skip to an age where he trained so much he surpassed whoever he wanted to kill Using that logic gon could transform into a state where who would be even stronger than meruem Adult gon looks like he's in his late 20's So i'd guess it's okay And seeing how simpafetic meruem is he would probably allow gon to transform
i dont think Pitou witness King's power yet. when King uses his nen abilty to scan everyone and instantly captured the intruders and be able to tell that its a human and octupus from miles away and even see the footprints and the sharp memory of what is changed in time when he used his abiltiy last. Like they had to go underground. and we also saw the intruders mentioning that we need an army to defeat him. Gon is strong and clever. But fight after pitou left him in serious condition.
i'd scale gon's adult form higher than netero given that he did more damage to pitou than netero did with one kick AND when pitou saw netero's nen she didnt think he was even a match for the king.. but when she saw gon's nen she immediately labeled him as a threat but idk thats just what i think
That's exactly the truth. I was surprised when he put Netero above Adult Gon. Pitou gauged all of Netero's strength and didn't think it was anything too big to worry about. Even Netero himself thought he wouldn't be a match for Pitou although I'm guessing it's without the Zero hand but still. Pitou didn't think Netero was of a threat to Meruem's life and felt okay to go with Gon but the moment Pitou saw Adult Gon's strength, it immediately thought "that power if left unchecked could be a threat to Meruem". Obviously I'm para-phrasing but that's enough proof that Adult Gon would win in a fight against Netero and is stronger than him.
I'm confused. Gon is still gon. And his adult form was a temporarily thing that he will never unlock in the future. Why are people acting like gon is one of the strongest charachters in the show while he will never be stronger then a avarege nen user

Besides, if you wanna use context, that power was literally Gon's true power albeit many years in the future.

Morel is the best nen user out there, when you break down his attacks and techniques you will realise he uses a method from every single nen category and his main deep purple is the opposite type of nen from his proficiency
They probably wrote this a few weeks ago, about characters who have been in the series forever, and were confirmed a certain type in data books. Not their fault togashi decided to change the rules all of a sudden and out of nowhere.

These characters, Meruem and Zeno didn't have confirmed nen types before except for the ones the publisher gave, but probably those are the publisher's speculations too, and they included them in the data book. But now it's clear that Meruem and Zeno are emitters.
but togashi already changed the Nen Affinities most of the nen users...Zeno Zoldyck and Silva Zoldyck from a Transmuter are now an Emitter...Yopi from an Enhancer to Transmuter...Muruem from Specialist to Emitter and so on...
I’m still convinced that gon let his arm get cut off so he could be like kite when he thought he would die at the end of the fight. He knew what condition he made to get his power boost.

In fact ZOldyck family has used this multiple times by kidnapping tourists with no connection to them and forcing them to ask for the wish or take on the requests to die so it can be reset. But I think Nanika can for sure one shot any being in the series and without them being able to do anything.

Small correction on Meruem, Togashi recently made a big thing about Nen, re-explaining parts of it and clarifying the Nen affinities for a couple characters.

Love Nen as a power system. Freaky to think most things on the Dark Continent are classified as more dangerous than the ants. Nanika at the top is absolute for now I feel... Never would have expected something that powerful to appear and of course it's in the body of a child. Really hope we get into DC arc someday
The reason the Dark Continent danger rankings only has the ants as B tier is because when they start off in their evolution they’re not THAT BAD. Just extremely deadly insects. Because they ate humans and then developed Nen they would probably be classified as an A tier threat. Meruem was definitely A tier or higher. Meruem could probably survive the Dark Continent alone with some struggles.
What most fans dont get is that ranking is based off how can a creature in dark continent can affect or even endanger human existence in general. Most top tier Hunter dont have problem surviving in Dark Continent, Netero once mentioned that there is no challenge in Dark Continent, but the creatures that follows have abilities to annihilate the normal humans with relative ease such as spreading disease.
Ants on the other hand are concentrated mass of power and evolution, Royal Guards and especially Mereum could eliminate Top Tier Hunters such as Netero.
That's because known world chimera ants are different form dc chimera ants, in the DC they are basically just big ants

We saw from the manga that Jin is able to copy any nen abilities he enter in contact with, he has been seen using Leorio skill.
The thing not mentioned about Nanika's ability is that if it makes wish about healing/helping someone it resets its 3 conditions to pretty simple tasks, it doesnt matter if wish is hard af to accomplish as we saw in Gon's case, most proficient nen exorcist were devastated by the mere looks of the curse on Gon

8:55 Pitu didn't "easily" decapitated Kite, the fight was probably not as one sided as people think. Both the battlefield and Pitou herself showed wounds and damage. The fact that she wanted another fight is an indication that it was a not a close match. Also remember that Neteros attack didn't even inflict a scar.

Pitu wanted rematch which means the fight was exciting. And all that for a one handed Kite, a person respected by even Ging.
I usually say the same thing! Pitou kept Kite’s body because they said they’ve really never had a fight like that and wanted to fight Kite again. If you really look into it that was the whole reason for them creating the healing Dr Blythe ability because they wanted to try to fix Kite so they could fight him again!
So with all that being said I don’t think they would go that far just to try to fix or bring someone back to life that was weak and wack at that! Man Pitou was literally holding that man Kite’s head in their lap stroking his head saying how much they really wanted to fight Kite again because he was so strong and they’ve never had a fight like they did with him! So I’d personally say it’s safe to say it wasn’t as one sided as people may think. And Kite had one arm at the time! Honestly I thought everyone knew (for the most part) that it was not one sided, just by the way Pitou talking about Kite and how strong he was!

To me, the concept of Nen classification is similar to some MMORPG wherein you have a stat points that you can distribute to different types (ex: VIT,STR,DEX). This means that nen users can learn other nen types but their mastery of one specific type lessens as they distribute their stats to other types. Those who is purely in one type has higher mastery since all stats are poured in to just that nen type.
its not only that but the fact that your imagination is the limit of your powers which is pretty broken and pretty fair made system. Also you can condition yourself into getting stronger ability and "nen after death" thing is op too

I think if netero was fighting at his peak age, meruem would have lost.
Nanika has uncanny resemblance but when she cried, it broke my heart.
One big mixup- Adult Gon is actually stronger than Netero and maybe stronger than Meruem. Pitou makes it clear that kid Gon is special and always feels uneasy for some reason around him (after the first interaction).
Then, after Gon’s transformation, Pitou finally realizes why and clearly admits that Adult Gon could kill the king, Meruem.
Netero didn’t really have a chance, the fight only went on cause Meruem had respect for Netero and wanted to talk. Adult Gon had the potential to not just fight Meruem too, but win as well.
So I’d say Adult Gon is actually higher than both- especially since his fight with Pitou only lasted one punch😂
And if Gon got to adulthood the "normal" way, he would get iven stronger and with much more refined technique. We probably won't see it, but Adult Killua would be a beast awell, since he is regarded as the Zodyak with the most potential.
He's around the level of pre-rose Meruem, specifically. Post-rose is beyond comparison for anyone except for Nanika (who remains very clearly still superior).
Although, I doubt Gon could actually beat Meruem in this form, as Meruem's intelligence both in general and in battle are beyond what the child's mind can match. If Gon actually grew up and got the experience that led to that power, it could be a different story, though.

I think the "wish granting" ability is Alluka and not Nanika. But since Nanika is implied to come from the dark continent as one of the calamities brought back, perhaps Nanika's aura is the fuel for this power. Without Nanika, wishes that are able to be granted may be very simplistic. What a neglected child would want. More toys. A kind brother. A smile. And consequences would be very mild. Like a paper cut or tripping and falling. But when fueled with the aura of Nanika, the wishes can be much greater and the consequences much worse - particularly when the wish is at a level that requires Nanika's aura (those twisted up and compressed humans look entirely like what is implied to be a dark continent calamity, presumably Ai's power). It is possible an Ai was brought back with Zigg and then when the Zoldycks discovered Alluka was a child genius who became a specialist as a ?toddler? they put Ai the symbiote into her to see if they could amp her power and then unfortunately realized too late it became way too powerful and dangerous and they locked her away. They have cameras in her room, do "experiments", and take notes of what happens.
as for Killua, he does comment on knowing which one is demanding consequences (Alluka vs Nanika) so he might have in some part figured this difference out and thus can avoid the worst consequences. With respect to Gon's life saving. It is interesting that we are not shown much of what actually happens during this moment. Killua may have asked Nanika to make a deal. And he traded in something he values more than his own life to get this accomplished and Nanika accepted that rather than killing him. I wonder if this is why Killua finally left Gon. Maybe the deal was to let go of his friendship with Gon and stay by Alluka/Nanika's side. I know that thematically in the story, their departure helped to symbolize a bit of growing up and growing apart and was part of the consequences of the hurtful things Gon said to Killua in front of Pitou, but Killua did forgive Gon and there isn't a completely logical reason why they can't still adventure together. So maybe this was the restriction Killua needed to enact to draw out Nanika's boost onto Alluka's power? Just a thought. If Alluka's power is amped by Nanika's aura, she could be neutralized/powered down by removing/extracting Ai or killing Ai (if anything of these things are possible). Maybe one day, Nanika may choose to leave Alluka and return her to a "normal" nen user status. This would allow Alluka to live a normal life and not be the target of her family and other people who develop malicious intent with the desire to control her and use this power.
Either way, I don't think there are no consequences to God like abilities in this world. Many times Togashi has shown characters trying for figure out what is happening and sometimes they get it frankly wrong. So everything we think we "know" about Alluka/Nanika may not even be correct. Hopefully we will one day get more answers. :)

Nen is the best power system ever. It's not like one of those that the characters are born with their abilities. Nen gives it's user freedom of how the user want his/her nen to become.
Not going to lie, i think leorio could be the strongest nen user. Just due to how Devastating his emitting powers could become. Mind you he originally intended to use it for medical treatment. the idea of using nen to enter the body in order to perform surgery. Opens up a lot of insanely devastating potential.
Like sure, the chimera ant king is powerful. But if you could target his brain directly. Stabbing it from the inside. Would he be able to even do anything about it? Further more if he did things such as damage the spine, heart any other major organs. could it even be able to survive that?
Mind you most defense relies on a hard outer layer to protect the vital components of the body. but if you could bypass said layer their would be nothing that could stop you. granted i doubt leorio would ever get a chance to show this out. due to the creators lack of focus and his character being viewed as a joke. But still it is a fascinating thing to think about.

I would say though, adult transformed Gon is considerably more powerful than Netero and from Pitou's reaction and thoughts as she's killed it could be pretty fair to assume Gon in that form was probably more powerful than Meruem too. At least before consuming his royal guard.
Meruem tried to kill Pitou with that tail strike and barely injured her, Netero gave her one of his harder hits with the bodhisattva and she wasn't really hurt at all but adult Gon essentially crippled her with one kick. It's probably the most powerful nen display in the entire series.

A is the highest rank though mainly that rank is achieved because they don't know how to defeat you. Chimera ants had a solution. Just nuke them or poison them. Even the king that survived a huge nuke like bomb at point blank range still got offed by the poison as did two of his royal guards. The bomb would have killed the guards. They were stronger than humans but could killed by humans in some way. Hence a single country could defeat them within reason. Humans themselves are either A or B rank on the nation level because certain nations are superior to other ones and even the strong nation would have trouble defeating an exact copy of itself. The Big Five Threats have no known way of dealing with them so they are mostly A rank. They somehow captured Ai(Nanika is probably Ai) and brought it back but its still killing people. Ai is unkillable gaseous lifeform that kills you even when locked up and theres possibly more than one. Pap turns humans into dolls and controls them. They don't even know what it looks like or how many so they don't have a solution. It may be more or less dangerous than the Chimera Ants, but the unknowns in combination with its known killing potential put it A. Hellbell makes your own forces murder themselves and could be a species rather than an individual. It was seen but by the time it is seen again you might already be dead. I haven't seen Hisoka full crazy, so that's a questionable 10th. Although, he was indeed beaten by Chrollo in the comics in heaven's arena, he was able to revive himself crazy shit.
And Ging's ability is a watered-down version of Chrollo's ability but without the restrictions of the book. Pair that with his incredible insight, he's easily a match for Netero and Meruem.

My hot take is that Komugi should be up for discussion. This is the only character to consistently beat Meruem. Obviously this is a non combat ability, but it's one of the most impressive feats we've seen against him.

i dont think Pitou witness King's power yet. when King uses his nen abilty to scan everyone and instantly captured the intruders and be able to tell that its a human and octupus from miles away and even see the footprints and the sharp memory of what is changed in time when he used his abiltiy last. Like they had to go underground. and we also saw the intruders mentioning that we need an army to defeat him.

That's exactly the truth. I was surprised when he put Netero above Adult Gon. Pitou gauged all of Netero's strength and didn't think it was anything too big to worry about. Even Netero himself thought he wouldn't be a match for Pitou although I'm guessing it's without the Zero hand but still. Pitou didn't think Netero was of a threat to Meruem's life and felt okay to go with Gon but the moment Pitou saw Adult Gon's strength, it immediately thought "that power if left unchecked could be a threat to Meruem". Obviously I'm para-phrasing but that's enough proof that Adult Gon would win in a fight against Netero and is stronger than him.

They probably wrote this a few weeks ago, about characters who have been in the series forever, and were confirmed a certain type in data books. Not their fault togashi decided to change the rules all of a sudden and out of nowhere.

These characters, Meruem and Zeno didn't have confirmed nen types before except for the ones the publisher gave, but probably those are the publisher's speculations too, and they included them in the data book. But now it's clear that Meruem and Zeno are emitters.
