He got the cars in the mid 80s and they were not from states that salt roads (OR and CA) but somehow they were being eaten alive from the inside out anyways even after only 13-14 years. Horrible rust. That's why im staying away, i dont want to worry about how wet the roads are.

So yeah you can drive a car with the wheel or any side. It's the same here in Europe though, you can drive a right-hand drive car if you want to. It's just less practical for obvious reasons though
He's only running 2 bar in that R33? That's roughly 29 PSI. There are engines that will take that much boost with no internal modifications. They're mostly diesels. Over 100 PSI is achievable with a diesel. That's just one reason diesels are better.
The soot isn't pollution, it's partially burned fuel that falls to the ground. A properly tuned diesel doesn't have much soot. They're still hard to get through emissions, but the easy way around that is to put it in something that doesn't have to get e tested.

All cars sold in Japan are RHD, but the blackbird was likely an imported model from europe, where cars were LHD. RHD porsches are a rarity.

You ain't passing inspection if you don't get those exhaust fumes sorted out though.

There is an after market bolt-on diesel emissions filter. It makes a weird sound, but hardly anything comes out of the exhaust.
