Jamie, thank you so much for this wonderful word of encouragement. So many of us standers (especially myself) have been in need of it. As soon as I worried about when you said "speedily" (because I have been praying and waiting for about 2 and a half years now for an answer over my beloved wife's return), you then explained how speedily to us may be like a week, but to God might be several years. That comforted me, because I felt God answered me immediately with that and gave me hope to not worry so much about how long it's been. God bless you and all the standers, woman of God. Thank you and Jesus for all the powerful and very needed messages you bring to all of us.
Sometimes, we ask god to restore what he took from us. But when restoration happens, it's not gonna be the same. He is going to give u something better than what u had. Just look at what he did for a job: a better wife and more children and more wealth than he had in the beginning. Im asking for restoration, but i want God's restoration, not my kind or restoration. God knows what's best for us.

I don't want reconciliation with my wife. She's a covert narcissist. Her inability to be humble, broken and repentant are the main reasons I'm divorcing her. I no longer pray for her or believe God put us together. I'm disabled, diabetic and unable to work while she works and hides money. She's abandoned me to this live in a truck with 2 dogs in a new city while she lives selfishly. She hates God, His word and mocks my relationship with the Lord. I now pray for a new life, new chapters and recovery.
Dang dude! I'm so sorry to hear this. You are right, narcissists will never change, so moving on is the only option. Godspeed in your divorce proceedings. It sounds like she will have to pay you. Praying for you Mark!
@@Blickster thank you sir! In my solitude, I'm reveling in my alone time with the Lord. And yes, she may have to pay me since I'm disabled and she knows the life I live in this truck is brutal. God bless you
Luke 18:1 specifically says we are to pray, and keep on praying until we get our answer. It specifically says to keep praying and not give up. When Jesus asked if the Son of man would find anyone with faith, He was talking about people who didn't give up, people who continue to pray because they believe they will be answered or granted their request. He was trying to teach us to keep praying, AND NOT GIVE UP. Same thing as Jacob wrestling with God and refusing to let go until God blessed him. That was the whole point Jesus was trying to make, when He compared the unjust judge to God. He was saying that if a jerk like the judge would grant the request of someone who is persistent, how much more would God, Who loves us, grant us our petitions if we pray and do not give up. 1st Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to pray without ceasing. It keeps communication open with God and keeps our focus on Him to supply our needs. The unjust judge wasn't afraid of the widow, he was using a metaphor. He said he was going to help her out because he was getting sick and tired of her squawking to him and he just wanted her to shut up and leave him alone. He more or less made a joke about her smacking him one if he didn't help her. Also, the reference to the Pharisees, Jesus was talking about their chanting the same words over and over, as if they were working a spell or something. Like the Catholics with their rosaries and chanting their Hail Mary prayer. Those are the vein repetitions Jesus was talking about. Those kind of chantings mean nothing; they don't come from the heart. We shouldn't be begging and pleading because, as you said, jamie, it shows a lack of faith. However, we are still told to be persistent, and that is what these parables are about. It is perfectly fine to keep praying that our spouses eyes will be opened and they will turn to Jesus and then come home. We don't recite some written Hocus Pocus prayer, but we should continue to pray for our spouses and make our requests known. Again, it keeps our focus on God and keeps the communication open. Persistence people!
Great answer. I think this message may be to a person or 2 but definitely should not be generalised as it’s quite unscriptural. In times a spiritual warfare, you need to pray and pray until the situation breaks. It’s called WAR Fare. Not pray once and leave it. You have to fight back during a war as many times as it takes to win . Yes we take the victory through the grace but you still have to participate. And the part she mentioned planting a seed and going back to it, ‘was digging it up’ almost demonic. Returning to the seed is feeding and watering it. It’s not digging it back up!!!! The most frustrating Christians there are , are the ones that say they prayed and nothing happened… because they literally said 1 prayer. You must keep consistently praying to take victory’s . Part of the reason the church is now powerless.
@@suzannahschulthies1260 Praying without ceasing can also be prayed of thanksgiving and not always praying the same request. I know this is a different approach to this parable as I stated at the beginning of my talk it was going to challenge some.
So how do you explain, praying and fasting for God to restore and to bring justice to me in regards to my divorce which my wife did to me 10 years ago and took the children poison their mind against me so I no longer see my children I prayed for 10 years for them to come to their senses for God to renew and restore us and nothingis promising that what kind of promises for me? I pray fast I walk before God and I get humiliation and betrayal.
God's covenant, God's will be done. ““Furthermore it has been said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’ But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery.” Matthew 5:31-32 I will be obedient. “But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife.” I Corinthians 7:11
What ls the difference between the woman asking the same thing over and over and over and over and us asking God the same thing over and over? So the woman was asking for something different every time?.I don't think so. Seems the same to me. Also jacob wrestled with God and didnt let go till He blessed Him. We pray because we believe. We persist because we want it answered. So why did david ask God work speedily numerous times? He had faith and repeated himself over and over. Bible said it i believe it thats settles it. Repeating is Not a lack of faith but A SHOW of faith. So when God puts its in my heart to pray for my wife I pray for something else? How does that make sense
@@roadtorestoration5371 In this parable Christ draws a sharp contrast between the unjust judge and God.
