Two things:
1. I misspoke about High Side Coffee, they're actually based in California. I don't know where I got the idea of SLC.
2. In case you're thinking "Hey, they got too close to that bear!", I wanted to make it clear: we stopped at the pull-out to observe the bear at the distance that the national park service recommends for viewing bears. The bear proceeded to come closer and I chose not to move the vehicle because I did not want to startle the bear by suddenly moving the car. We were safe inside the vehicle and the bear was not bothered by our presence. It would have absolutely been way too close if we were not in the car.
Na you're fine.
You can't beat steel tents!
Agreed!
Toyota is more than a brand , its an adventure.
Love your production skills, they're developing so well. Thank you so much for the scenical content, my wife and I live vicariously thru you 2 for now lol 🤞
Side note: we just pulled the trigger on a '05 Highlander w/106k miles after one of ur videos!
Thanks! It means a lot. Enjoy your highlander. It'll make for an awesome little adventure rig!
Sequoia shopping.
Was going to ask why not more subscribers, but you answer it in the first 15 seconds lol
This has to be my favourite video on RUclips. Everything about it was heart-wrenchingly beautiful; the car, the scenery, the camera angles. I feel guilty for having watched this video for free.
Thanks. That really means a lot. We put a lot of effort into sharing our experiences and we’re thrilled that you appreciate it.
Feels like I’m watching a movie
Thanks for sharing! We actually just purchased a sequoia that looks just like yours! We drove to Utah to pick it up. Your videos have inspired us!
Awesome! We hope to be a resource for you as you begin your “sequoia journey” haha
It must be great to be there for the first snowfall that settles on the ground; at the very cusp of where Autumn - okay, fall! - meets winter. 😀 Imagine all those golden hues and then a thick white coat on the forest and surrounding mountain meadows. It must be a surreal experience.
Great vid! Love the color grading!
I think you two are great. I recently picked up a 2004 Sequoia that I'm gonna use next road trip, inspired by a few of your vids. I wish you both great success.
you two are loving life, thanks for taking us along!
This is the kind of content that cleanses the soul. Thank you.
Wow, incredibly kind words. Thanks.
The Photography and Cinematography in this is so visually appealing.
Thanks! Means a lot!
Excellent video! You guys really inspire me to take my Sequoia out on outdoor adventures! 😊😊
Next time you're in GT, park outside the gate at Gros Ventre campground, just east of the roundabout and walk through the campground (closed in the winter).
Such a cool get away. Seeing a grizzly in person had to be something else.
It’s crazy watching a video of the places I go to and the spots I camped at every single weekend this past summer haha
Loving the videos!!!!
Love the Tetons and your off-the-beaten-path & off-season footage... totally up my alley! Epic moments with Miss Grizzly Bear! Many God awe-inspiring moments!
Did this same trip in my Sequoia this summer and camped close to where you guys did. Loved seeing it in autumn ✌🏽
@The Fraziers remove the center console and put your 12v fridge instead works like a charm
If you like using your own coffee try Aeropress. It’s great for single serve French press and will work with that electric kettle perfectly.
Wow! The shots of the bear in the snow are amazing 🐻 Such a wonderful experience 👍
Big fan of your trips. Keep the tree moving. Love from NJ.
Found this just in time for lunch!
Enjoy!
You two are so great at making me feel like I came on the adventure with you.
Well, off for a quick dip in Old Faithful, catch ya later
😂😂😂 enjoy!
Great video, the tetons is on my bucket list of places to explore. It was a great you could share your experience with us.
Awe nice solo shot dudes!
Nice trip in Grand Teton National Park, I hope to go there in the near distant future.
One of your best videos yet!
Thanks!!!!!!!!!
The Tetons are some of my favorite places to see on this earth. The Next is the Bad Lands at sunset/ sunrise
Nice video… epic bear footage… love the clip when it’s walking towards you…I been trying to get some bears unsuccessful… I enjoy your videos… you and your wife 👍👍
Thanks!
Excellent video friends!!!
It's coming right for us! Chk chk
Blah blah bears. Blah blah moose. Then “You look beautiful.” Ya got ten extra points! That was awesome!
Please don’t misunderstand, I liked the whole video but that made everything!
This video has inspired me to become Mormon.
Ditch the second row seats. I fought the urge for too long but once I did take them out, I’ll never go back. Definitely way more room for the wife and I and makes climbing in at night much easier.
The sequoia is still my daily driver and I still need the second row from time to time. Hoping to buy a third car soon, however, that I can daily drive and use the sequoia only for trips. Then, we would definitely remove the second row
I daily mine too. I keep the third row in for passenger duty and pop them out when it’s time to camp. Thanks for the inspiration. You guys are why I bought my 06.
Awesome!
Beautiful video =)
Awesome video! You'll be doing this full time before you know it!
Great video.
Well done ❤️
Camping in the car is awesome, Im discovering the same.
Save the spot for you 😂🤣
i just missed you guys up there! I was up in montana the past 10 days
So cool. Are we gonna see a Montana adventure video on your channel?
@@TheFraziers haha yes. It was for an elk hunt in Sula. It’ll be mainly focused around that but definitely shows the sequoia a lot too
@@isaacspoon Awesome! Looking forward to it!
Roof rack. It'll be useful. Outside temp can be your fridge in the winter.
The Mormon homestead is where I came into contact with grazing Buffalo in the afternoon.
Question, when camping out like this in Bear country, what do you guys do with your food leftovers, pots, scented items and trash? Bear container? Hanging bag from a tree?
A lot of campsites in the greater Yellowstone area have dedicated bear boxes which is most ideal. Typically we’ll clean everything as good as possible and store it in the vehicle. The national park service and NFS have determined that closed and locked vehicles are adequate food storage in bear country (a few parks have exceptions to this rule). They do stipulate the food should be in a cooler or refrigerator in addition to being inside the vehicle.
@@TheFraziers Awesome! thank you so much for the fast response. Love the content BTW! I'll be visiting Grand Teton and Yellowstone this summer, it will mostly be dispersed camping. I was not sure how to deal with storing food, or any scented item. I tend to sleep inside my 4runner with a bed setup so wasn't sure what others were doing when it came to this.
I’ve seen you guys older videos in the past, but finally subscribed. Truly enjoyed this video and seeing you both live life the way it should be lived. By the way, I have a clothing company and have the perfect beanie for your lady. It’s called Imakulate Clothing Company. Let me know if I can send you both a beanie. Thanks for the content!
What if u took off only one of the 2nd row seats and set it up so that the fridge would take that spot
Nice
Beautiful scenery. What MPG are you getting with the Sequoia? That grizzly must have been great. Thanks for sharing
Not good lol. Somewhere between 14-17 mpg.
great video! what do you guys do about needing fuel when roaming around in a gas guzzler? I want to do suv camping in my 2nd gen sequoia but not sure how
It has a big 26 gallon tank so honestly we’ve never felt the need to carry additional fuel. The trick is to fill up long before you need to and anticipate long stretches without an available station.
Any plans to remove the 2nd row seats for more storage? I’m all about camping inside steel and glass Vs fabric 👍🏼
I have a 2022 Sequoia 2WD and I Want to trade for a 4wd so bad but Im not sure if I should bother with IFS front and back. Love being able to climb in the back and sleep in it.
Unpopular opinion, solid axles are overrated. I’d definitely trade our solid axle for independent suspension to get that completely flat rear compartment. Most of us aren’t off roading hard enough to get the benefits of a solid axle.
Curious why you don’t just remove the center seats. I took mine out and those puppies are HEAVY. Not only does it free up some valuable space, it also cuts some unnecessary weight.
Great vids, my friends. It’s been wonderful to watch your channel grow.
Mainly because it’s still a daily driver and we need the second row still. I’m not willing to pull out the seats every time we go for a trip.
Hey guys what campsite is that? Also is it BLM grounds or was there a fee?
Was that claw tooth mountain at the very end? 😋
Привет из России!!! Красота!!! Секция супер
What size tires and brand do you have in that sequoia? I just bought a 2005 and the tires will need replacing soon. I have a set of 16” rims and 18” rims.
How was it sleeping in the cold?
We've made videos about this in the past. Go check out our previous video posts. Way more info there than I can type into a comment.
I wonder what RIG you'll get if you move from the sequioa? Would it be another Toyota?
For right now, we have no plans of changing rigs anytime soon. We’ve got some emotional attachment for our sequoia haha. But if we do ever upgrade, I really think we’ll go for a Tundra with a four wheel camper. That combination seems to strike up a great balance between size, capability, and camping comfort.
@@TheFraziers I wonder how well the hybrid Tundras would work for Overlanding
Big tank capacity and improved mpgs makes for good range. They also now finally have an option for a rear locker. Sounds like a winning combination to me for overlanding.
how many miles on that sequoia now?
Close to 257k
this is very granola...
😂 Politically, we’re way too conservative to be granola haha
