Hello! Thank you for creating this video! I have a question regarding its usage. Can the kl110f be used with cars or car starter batteries? If yes, do I need a larger shunt due to the spike in current caused by the car starting? I want to monitor parasitic drain current, which is under 1A. However, I'm unsure if I need a larger shunt as my car battery has 500-600 cold crank amps (Honda Element 4.2L, 4 cylinder). I've seen many people using this product in RVs, but I'm not sure if they're using it on their starter battery or on their secondary/leisure battery only. I would appreciate any thoughts you may have on this. Unfortunately, I'm unable to reach the manufacturer.
Hello, I have bought your product and I do enjoy its display, very simple and gives info at glance, but for lead acid users I have found some critical issue in programming! Battery acids charge acceptance is apxly 70 to 75 % when new, this means if I draw 100 Amp H I must put in 130AH for it to reach that previous 100AH this means the meter becomes fully in accurate second charge cycle if not charged to 100%
There must be a way to set charge efficiency, so for new battery that will be 75% acceptance, and older battery will be lower 70, as battery ages this will drop further. But for lead acid, a 70% charge efficiency will be accurate!
Second a method to tell controller the battery been absolutely fully charged, that would be amps, once amps are that of the natural leakage of lead acid battery so say 230AH bank that would be 0.3 to 0.5Amps
Thirdly: A simple method to warn the user time since last full charge, this can be achieved by flashing battery symbol after X amount of days, or to simplify coding, set by weeks, example: user selects 2 weeks, if in those two weeks a 100% charge is not detected battery symbol flashes or change colour, yellow for first week, then orange on second week, then if not addressed red?
My usage case: 230AH at 48V, flooded lead acid, 100% off grid (Solar w/ Back up Diesel genset)
Desire: To have the device control generator start times when batteries get to 50% depth of discharge vs the Inverter doing it based on voltage. Or have it activate relay based on time since last full charge
Issue: Relay doesn't seem to function on AH setting, Incorrect charge monitoring due to not factoring in charge acceptance of battery type.

Hi Junctek, I need help, I just installed this battery monitor and was very happy with it at the start. I set the battery bank capacity to 300ah and when fully charged to 100%. Everything was good, but after a day I noticed that all readings were still the same. I turned off the charger, put on a few more LED lights and the monitor showed all these changes, but the app on my phone is stuck on the original settings. Even still showing it's charging when the charger is turned off.
Can't change any settings on the app, can't turn it off and can't disconnect, nothing, not giving me real time readings, it's frozen, any ideas if you read this post, thanks in advance.
Can the Juntek shunt be used as a standalone battery monitor without the display screen?
A shunt only determines how many amperes go out or in.
There is a L version that has Bluetooth connection

I have installed several of these but today I needed put the battery further from the display. It works with the supplied data cable but when I used a locally purchased 5 meter RJ11 cable the display does not work. Has anyone successfully used a longer cable and can you advise?

You can use the communication protocol to program it yourself and try it.
You guys really need longer wiring for the battery monitors!!!!!!!! The Current Sensor cable should be 10 foot long and the Display cable should be 25 feet long. It needs a On and Off button on the Display so it can be turned off at night or while the Display is not in use. Also on the temperature settings you should add changing from Celsius to Fahrenheit. There are still 2 different types of measurement on this planet, Standard and Metric. You have a good product in this monitor but it could be really better if these changes are made. Installing in a RV is very difficult with short wiring.
