This is the textbook example of of “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”
But I DON'T WANT YOUR GODDAMN LEMONS! GIVE ME LEMONS AND I'LL BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN WITH THOSE LEMONS!!
When life gives you james ... make james customs
THAT'S JAMES, THAT IS ACTUALLY JAMES, I literally love these au engines, they look way more accurate then the "official" basis'
I dunno if they look more accurate sadly but they’re fun at least!! 😅
Thank you so much brother man, that means the world to hear
@@ItsTrainBoy THE MAN TEASED IT IN HIS 2308. AND HE'S DONE IT
@@ItsTrainBoygod tier james
Not in this case, it is completely the wrong loco and operator for the basis of James. He is a LYR loco not GWR.
The chin's too low to the running board.
Trainboy, you still makes my jaw fall down, but this time, i felt a tear on my eye. That custom is Beautiful!
May your brother Rest in Peace
I agree with @Matheus CHP
Thank you brother man :)❤️🔥
@@ItsTrainBoy hi
This is definitely what the next stage of 2308 would be. Love how this model looks.
This is fantastic!
Imo, I feel like James' crash is an excellent in universe "reason" for changing from the wartime 2308 paintjob/dean's goods build to the more traditional James look- although to be fair I've never felt your models needed explainations behind changes or creative decisions as the craftsmanship is always top knotch and they always end up looking great imo.
Awesome! At first, I thought you extended the running board of your 0-6-0 James, but this was a surprise.
THIS IS JUST AS GOOD AS the unlucky tugs James (it’s amazing)
Amazing this is how James would look in the Railway Series
The model looks amazing. Your brother would be proud, I think you truly honored your brother.❤ The model is great I love it you did a fantastic job.🙂
The running board extension looks SO much better, his face is less smushed this way ahhhh
Bro this is exactly what i would expect to see if i were going to see an irl james/ deen goods. You did a damn good job! and i love how its so different yet similar it is. EVEN THE FRONT BOGEY TURNS! Just stunning.. keep up the great work man and cant wait to see your au Toby showcase!
This is the best custom model of James I’ve ever seen
Your a great modeler, no exaggeration. I’m getting (or building) a model railway soon, and all your modeling & model railways have been a huge inspiration for me.
Never stop modeling
*until you get too old, don’t take my advice*
Wow! I would be terrified to do this to an engine. You certainly are talented!
Come on James, brighten up you got a new coat of paint! (Even though the other colour was really nice)
This James is honestly perfect, it really does fit the character and the livery looks like a cool “NWR mixed traffic Red” livery. Good on you TB! Another great model.
WHY ARE YOU SO GOOD AT MODELING JUST LOOK AT THIS THING IT IS BEAUTIFUL, great job on the model is what I am trying to say
2308 lives on!!
Oh my god dude. I personally didn’t like James without the long running board, but you have practically perfected his design for me. Not too tall, not too long, and not too big, but still stands hugely out from his bright reds and deep golds and blacks. No grey Bachman wheels here!
This is the best custom you've made imo I am in absolute awe! Stellar model as always
Your customs get better and better!
Very good work with this one! The many details in the running board and weathering gave more character to that is James.
Let's go! More James!
Wow. hope your hand is ok, having the dermal in your hand doesn’t sound pleasant. And although it is sad that a part of the dermal got into 2308, it ended up giving James a great makeover. Since James is also my favorite character, this looks incredible. You did a fantastic job.
I'm pretty sure he meant he was holding the pieces, because as he said, he was wearing safety stuff
@@Jtube90 oh, OK sorry I’m stupid. I should’ve realized when he immediately started working on it after it broke. Because he wouldn’t be able to do that if it was inside his hand.
@@Drakestorm87 You're not stupid, it had me confused at first as well
@@Jtube90 ok.
Rws narrator I'm sold
Hey man awsome job always love seeing this wonder trains next to their real world counter parts
Bachman got nothin’ on this beauty…
Wow, is awesome! 👏
He’s glorious and is rocking that livery
Beautiful model
Your brother would be very proud :)
Beautiful my friend Shane about 2308 but at least you got to make James very good initiative.
My personal favorite part was where TB's dremel tool said "It's dremeling time" and dremeled all over the place into James' buffer beam.
Truly one of the dremel tools of all time.
can i ask where you got the face for dean goods james? i wanna make one of my own and wanna know who to contact to get one.
Classic Trainboy W
Glad that you managed to salvage a model that meant so much to you. Out of curiosity, is James' new pony truck/wheel from some rolling stock? I ask due to the "spikes" that are on both ends of the wheels.
It was! The ‘kneecappers’ sadly weren’t cut down until right before I weathered them but they’re originally spares for rolling stock :)
@@ItsTrainBoy Cool. And if you don't mind humoring my curiosity again: how is the new truck acting in regards to how it's attached to the model's body? Like, if it runs on curves, does the wheel sort slip and slide through the loop in the branded metal?
@@alfa1134 They work surprisingly well! If they ever need any lube I’ll be sure to add it but so far there hasn’t been any accidents, it throwing the rails, friction really much of any issues so far? If that changes I’ll update though haha
Very nice job I love it reminds me of a Hornby James.
Ya know that you mention it; I can see it! 😅
Thank you so much too homie
I love this so much 💕
Good for you that you could save it.
Now… here’s the James of whom Montague would highly approve😏
i see him and toby together and i really get time for trouble vibes.
yooooo that's sick
"James was both Red in the boiler and red in the face" get cuz he's mad. also that custom is amazing.
I saw the post about this and when I scroll down literally once I saw this video
Nice model!
James looks like the original james
Your so right man
@@crisjenkins thanks man
That’s a great upgrade
Looks great in red
No way this video is 2 years old already
Damn I'm sorry that 2308 got ruined and again about your brother my condolences to you and your family but, at least you were able to save and salvage what you could. I also can't wait to see Toby
ITZ JAMES
0:27 that reminds me of the old Molly model with the massive face lmao.
I didn't expect 2308 to turn in to this
The model looks very beautiful.
But will there be changes to your AU for James?
Not really; this is just the next step up for the model I suppose! :)
Oh alright.
Rest in peace 2308 🥺
Awesome video trainboy
Nice recreation James's accident Let's just like the original even if James is a modified Dean Goods
Looks incredible! Question about the coal trick: Would it be common for steam engines to have a bit of extra coal on the running board that wouldn't fit in the tender? Or maybe does it get dropped there when the engine is taking on more coal?
To my KNOWLEDGE if the engine has a tender it’d just be there more sparingly since it’s not as needed or just accidentally; on tank engines or smaller locomotives though it very well could be! (On Terriers even the roof!!)
@@ItsTrainBoy I see, thank you!
James' face looks more in-scale somehow now that he has that front pony truck. I don't know why, it's the same face as before. Model looks great, though, and honestly looks like something that would serve as a good basis for a legit RWS James. Even the origins are pretty close: an 0-6-0 that was converted into a 2-6-0 for various reasons.
You can say that the pony truck was added in an attempt to make him track better at higher speeds so he could run passenger trains at the best of his ability
Man 2308 got his running board cut off then got himself an nice upgrade
Looks amazing
This model does look nice but I do prefer the more working James but it is cool seeing a classy James
Impressive, very nice.
Nice model! If I may ask, what did you use for the front pony truck?
Great restoration on 2308👍, could you please do some Gordon models(you don’t have to tho).
Lovely model
Damn that really sucks do you plan on making a new version of 2308 also how many realistic versions of James do you have I think it was 3
What is that in the background at 3:13, with the Rosie and Thomas?
A tissue box! 👀
@@ItsTrainBoyAre we going to see a custom James tissue box?
@@drxy45Nah that’s not a custom haha
Have you already made a review on that to Toby?
You've done it
I think the large face looks better with the extended footplate.
I lowkey would love to make something like this
Homie if I can do it, you’ll do amazing. 🙏
GO for it king!!
@@ItsTrainBoyWhen I get a spare 3f I'll mod it and paint it to make a james :)
now this is what should look like in the marc Foster thomas and friends movie.
Kinda curious how 2308 looked in his damaged state.
If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the platic card from and who's it by. Thx
Dean Goods James: “Back on the Great Western”
64xx Duck: “We did it-“
7F Henry: “That Tin Pot Railway”
DGJ & 64xxD: **Offended**
NER A2 Gordon: **Laughing**
very good
Good custom but i was hopeing to see a photo of the damage
Alright here's what I think you should do make a second model but reschedule to look like 2308 so that way you still have 2308 and James just they are a Dean goods with an extended front
Like the song went, accidents will happen
We’ve been getting a steady stream of videos revolving around James…..is this a sign for something?
So if that’s the new James, what about the big red bloke?
We gotta have more than ONE Jimmy c’mon now 🧐
@@ItsTrainBoy God damn we gonna have a full railway of Jimmy
The Jimmy Junction
I thought you had two Dean Goods,
one was the yellowy-browny one,
and the other you made into a James,
or am I just dumb?? 😅
Wait so what happened to the other red Dean Goods?
He ended up taking some damage in my move a few months ago :/
It’s not a SURE future it has but ideally I’ll fix it up? Or it’ll end up being used for parts to keep this one going/ make another engine
@@ItsTrainBoy Alright!
I have a surprise for you TrainBoy. Wait till 8pm today
Have you ever considered making a black origins James?
you should make a edward with a Daool SECR D class.
ROD. (Thats what I call rod XD)
Rails
Of
Defense. Also AMAZING MODEL
A third Dean Goods James?
not a bad thing tho lol
(technically still 2 but shhh the more James the better)
It always hurts me when the engines never have a brake van in the running sessions
epic
i made a quick head canon that 2308 had his bufferbeam damaged during that attack he had from the armored engine and he was given his extended footplate while being repaired
i forgot to add why so the purpose was that since he was attacked, the men added the extended footplate to add a "shield" from a decommissioned wagon and mounted a 50 caliber machine gun like on ww2 thomas on each side of his front
wow
Let's hope duck doesn't see James the dean good in red. He would say that's a discrass to the gwr
Nice
james but awesome
You should make Timothy the ghost train Thomas's evil brother
Train Boy you should
Make a sodor fallout James
I miss lean James ✋😔
His chassis honestly looks like a terriers! Also on his train ayo no brake van
