I genuinely think Thomas, as wel as thomas' character in general, would never have been the same if it weren't for Edward helping him. It's even obvious in "The Adventure Begins" that Edward was the only one to actually care for him at first. Sure, the bigger engines cared for him later, but at first they didn't. Edward will always have a soft spot in my heart as one of my favorites of the show. Your model looks just like the OG model!!
Honestly what I love about this model of Edward is that you managed to capture the kind hearted soul of his character, I don’t know if it’s the blue or the face but it’s got that special touch. I agree too, Bachmann got it right with this one, my only drawback would be the proportions of the buffer beam on theirs, just doesn’t seem right to me. Can’t wait for the next showcase man!
I think a lot of that comes from Rex's brilliant face(s), they really do bring out the character. I do try to bring that out in the other ways that I can, be that weathering or sound design.

Edward the Blue Engine wasn't the only one going through the underdog phase, Caleb. You've come a long way in crafting the best replicas that could be up there with Jacob Jarrett's work as well.

4:14 I bet you're right because for some reason in the TV series Edward had 5 linings on his boiler instead of 6 but however in The Railway Series Edward actually did have 6 linings and I actually really love that but however I have noticed as well Edward isn't the only engine who has 5 lining that doesn't have another lining that rages to his smokebox I even noticed Emily has that too

I agree that Edward is one of the first Bachmann Thomas engines to not particularly suffer as a result of being referenced from the Gullane stock art instead of from the actual show model. Still, good job on making him truly excellent
Thanks . I do mainly work with toys and make them to model standards by using model parts . Eg take n play 2012 Thomas with screw links and realistic coal . All hand made my me . I also do the coal with foam and screw links with bent up wires painted footplate to be white or light grey and weathering done with powder . That’s it really will be doing them in order next is Edward then Henry ,gordon ,James Percy ….. yup but I do work with models tho . Am saving up for Hornby Thomas and Bachman Edward coming eventually 😁
