I just got mine today, I havent been hiking in them yet, but already just around the house and walking the dog I never want to take them off, they are one of the most comfortable pairs of boots I have ever owned
Thanks! Totally understand wanting to have them in your hands to try out sooner. Just a reminder that we do have free shipping and free returns on all pre-orders.
Man, I was all on board until I saw they went with the heel drop of a cowboy boot. I really wish they weren’t boxed in by traditional big shoe company thinking there.
Hey Bob, thanks for your interest. We've actually found 13mm to be the ideal offset for rucking. When you're carrying weight over long distances your achilles (and by proxy your ankle, knees, and hips) will appreciate that extra (but not too much) cushioning. Especially on concrete and man-made surfaces. You can find more details in our product description here: ruck.ly/2t6xXEi
Great question. I saw a few clips of an Asian factory in this ad, plus they never mentioned that they were. I’m sure they would say “made in America” a thousand times if they were made here. So I don’t think so. The best pair of handmade in America boots you can get are Whites or Nicks.

Very cool, I've got 4 pairs and had no idea about this. They fit me perfect!
I ordered a pair today and hope not to be disappointed.
Badass ad. I'll pick up a pair when I can try them out.

I would love to see a whole behind the scenes type of thing making the macv1s.
Dig it! Need these boots in my life. What song was that on the intro?!
It was a custom/royalty free song honoring the Dropkick Murphys (Paul's favorite band).

is it a neutral-balance shoe? I have supination and can only use neutral-balanced shoes.
Yes, MACV-1 is considered a neutral shoe and should work well for your feet. Thanks for your interest!
Are they made in America?

Did you notice all workers in the factory were Asian? They are not American made. They are made in Vietnam.
Can we get them all american made instead of relying on foreign factories?
