I work for an independently owned newspaper/media company in Louisiana. It's a difficult time to keep a DAILY printed newspaper going. But, we're working hard to keep it going, and take pride that we are still around in 2023! Was so happy to see this documentary!!
Stay resilient G! 💪
Thank you!
This was very well done. I hope they get to the bottom of that prison abuse scandal.
Enjoyed that!
The people in the warehouse don't get enough credit.

Well, that's quite a difference to the time when reporters used typewriters.
Whats a Typewriter?
@@CARLIN4737 ha ha, you're so funny! 🤦
Kind of depressing, look up most of these people now, they're out of the industry 6 years later
And alteady this is probably no longer "modern." Things in the news world, or world altogether, cbange so fast. A lot of newspapers these days are even just working from home.

this newsroom is so old and white
Our Republic has been, and continues to strive for the perfection of this American experiment.
What experiment? A meritocracy. Where all Men and Women are created equal...
What we want is an America where everyone is treated equally, and with dignity, regardless of skin color, religion, gender, etc. You know, like Martin Luther King Jr said, in his dream. It's really the American dream, not a middle class family with 2.5 kids, a mortgage for a lovely home, and a couple of cars. It's Liberty and Justice for all.
I, honestly, didn't notice what color any of those people were. I don't care.
But, I think I understand you. We must all insist on merit as the standard; to the exclusion of all else.
May the best news person get the job, whoever they are.
And, as a consumer of news, I choose my news provider based on truth, honesty, lack of bias, humility, and accuracy. I don't care, usually I'm not even aware, if the writer is white or otherwise. I want news that informs me, makes me think, and doesn't require me to spend my valuable time fact checking them.
Respectfully, everyone is doing a great job but your media lacks of employees diversity. Big turn down for the thousands of Hispanic and black journalists out there.
Asian dude there.
