I wanna go into journalism and this video just confirmed that for me, especially the end. I don't know what branch of journalism I want to do, but actively going out, interviewing, staying on top of the news like this and creating stories is my thing
Wow..! Looks like a very hectic day with the phone contacts, the driving, the setting up, recording and then packing up. I was surprised that you were able to do your editing in your car and then you uploaded it to the station. I pictured you and other reporters sitting at a desks in the office editing and polishing your stories just prior to air time. It must be really stressful be working remotely and then hoping that your finished piece uploads in time to be aired.....Great behind the scenes piece Julian..... Question or suggestion for perhaps another video. Why do some reporters have a dedicated cameraman/woman to film them ( ED and Jeff) and others like yourself, multi-task......
hey man, I watch the whole video, super interesting becaouse we are collegues, I do the same but not for new but for social networks. I also make interviews, work as a cameraman and editor. I work for Social Building Department and often make videos about building process. Good luck to you!
Hi! Really nice video, I'm going to study journalism and with a video background I want to focus on video journalism, fun to see the workflow and what day to day looks like! Would love to see more!
I really salute you for doing your job which consist of making content then you are creating ur own content showing us while ur doing it lol 😂. Double duty journalist! Seems like an exciting job ! 📸
The EX1 is a good camera, but it's not being used in the news anymore these days. I believe he is using one of the PXW series. Sony makes good stuff :).

Seems lonely. You're better off working AT THE STATION. The news director is cheap and wants MMJ people.
Great
Thanks for this..i saw a satellite dish in one of the shots..is it part of your transmission setup?
Thank you for watching! All my work was done through cellular/data connections
By the curiosity what kind of editing software do you use for editing the news footage on your laptop???
It’s Premiere Pro
What is the gear you are using?
He's using possibly a Panasonic hc-x series. Expensive. Maybe by loan from the TV station.
I think its a Sony PXW-Z280
🌟
*_Dear sir, I'm doing 1yr. Diploma in Cinematography so can I become a news caneraman or a cinematographer is only meant to work in movies?😢_*
News togs dont need useless bollocks like a diploma. Sorry to say but you're pissing money away down the pan.
So Chek dont have internet antenna mounted on thr roof or nothing? You might want to push your boss for that.
I bet the news camera you use is a sony pmw ex1, i am a gigantic news camera nerd so i hope im right

@@georgedavidla youre right! The handle is different! And yes, i love sony camcorders as well :D
why you stopped
Stop? What did he stop? He quit MMJ?
Uuhhhh... why didn't you talk to a homeless person? Or a neighborhood property owner who is opposed to what's happening?
