I use a couple 20-50# Ugly stick Tigers up here in S.E. AK f or jigging halibut and redsnapper/Yellow eye... good rods in my opinion ... hood choice.. ive replace tops and refuse to replace.. but now ive gotten a salmon trolling stick and i am happy so far!! Quality for half the price. My son uses nothing but stick from trout to steelhead ,salmon, halibut/jigging.. im about to get him a new halibut rod for his bday..that was a nice 54 cat
Great video! Congratulations. I have seen other videos of guys catching smaller catfish but with the Ugly Stik Striper rods. That Tiger rod you have sure seems to handle them way better. Do you have a video or know of any comparing the Ugly Stik Bigwater Rod vs Tiger Rod vs Striper Rod? It would be nice to see how far up the reel sits, the 'bend' of the rod with the same amount of weight, and maybe cast-ability if possible. Sooo many videos of Ugly Stik rods but nobody compares them side by side.

That was a nice video and that was really good for the ugly stick tiger rod some people think they can't handle a big catfish 🤟🤟
Dont forget to reel down on them before you take the rod out of the holder. Your hooking ratio will improve.

I have never did a vid comparing ugly stiks. Maybe 🤔 soon though

The Ugly Stik is a medium action. Medium heavy would be a better choice for bigger catfish
