Build a custom motor box cover and you can put driver seat on top of it with your stick steer. That’s how a lot of inboard mud boats are built here in south LA. Makes for more floor space in your boat as well. Maybe a 6 gallon gas tank toward front for weight distribution. Build is coming a long great. Love the ingenuity!
That jet boat is incredible! I believe that you could build anything just out of a few parts and pieces! You are the true example that a Country Boy Can Survive!!!!
Dude this is awesome. I wanted to do this with an old polaris ski I had but like most plans it never happened. Allow me to live vicariously through you. Love from Australia
Pretty cool build man! I 👏 you on your engineuity skills. Pretty slick skills! Looking forward to seeing this once carbs are rebuilt . 20 seems little slow to me for that ski motor and boat. I’m with you something seems lacking. Maybe it’s a jet in carb half stopped up or the seals on the carbs or leaking. Need to do video pulling a tube or skier 😂
Great series. Those carbs have a little screen inside on the fuel inlet. They easily clog , especially when the fuel lines start breaking down inside on those models. The alcohol mixed fuels do a number on them. Easy fix.
1 thing u need to remember is u have an open engine bay now Vs Roughly a 2 inch air opening (stock) and u will need to Rejet carbs for extra air engine is getting now.. Just saying..
We are doing the same thing to a 14 ft tinnie here.. We got stuck out on sand banks because of the 25 hp prop bogging out.. Wasnt fun wading through 2 ft of croc/shark infested water pushing the boat along....
@@catmanDIYoutdoors I could hear a little miss...Havent worked on 2cycle engine in FOREVAH. Best of luck getting it ironed out. A custom cowl, footboard w/standup grab bar and you are good to go.🚤
Thats already going to be an issue. The fuel line they messed up and gave u the wrong size. It's very critical that u get the right size so ur not starving the motor by not letting the right amount of fuel to get to the engine brother. But other than that great content and cant wait to see the progress. Much love to ya from Maryland❤❤❤
Can’t wait to see you give deer and long beards boat rides in this thing

Great job man. That thing is awesome. I love the whole jet boat build series.
What area of TN? I ran the Hatchie in a Jet Jon a few years ago. It was my first time in one and it was a blast.

Running in that shallow of water is beautiful.
Gotta be a good feeling having it run that good and not leak. Great build.
3:37- You see that car tire he almost ran over?? haha

LOL, Looks like we both went to Iron Bridge for our jet boats maiden voyage.
🎉

It's coming along nicely and it's always good when they don't break down 🤣
It’s won’t be long before some nosy does will be taking a jet boat ride!
This thing is gonna be so awesome once it's all completed! Looking good so far!
Awesome dude. You winged (not welded, etc) and it and it seems to function great. Love it.
One of the coolest things I've seen.
That is cool. Looking forward to seeing your adventures in that jet boat.
Can remember when I was adventurous,,,but never to your extreme,,,,,,,fun watching, glad you brought us along…..
That thing looked great with the waves and light reflecting off of it.
I have always wanted to do that but with a flat bottom looks like a lot of fun
Very cool! Definitely something to be proud of. Great job!
Been wanting to do this with my old jon boat It would be perfect for the shallow rivers here
Nice work. Great for the shallow rivers and marshes

Looks like a copper penny in that water. Great color choice!
Where did you get that shutoff valve from ? i need one of those ...................How far does your jet nozzles set in the water ?
sweet ride !
Thank You for sharing your video .
That things awesome!!
Thats f. Ing sweeeeet dude🎉
Heck yah things badass man Greta job on the build
how many decibels is that compared to an outboard? seems loud. cool build

That looks like a boat I need.
The bost is looking great
Loving it!
Love the updates, seems like it's running great! What river is that, it's gorgeous??
Nice little setup good job
Dude that is so cool!
Love the concept
Definitely needs the carbs rebuilt and prolly jetted beings as it’s not inclosed anymore but she definitely lean and that will burn her up quick
This thing begs to be painted like the jet drive parts. Good job!

❤
Max speed ??? 100km/h ?
Good stuff
Btw get rid of all the gas in that tank before you try it again with the new carb kits, you’ll just ruin the new rubber.
Looking good
I like that great job 👍👍
Not a Jon Boat. It's actually, a Skiff. ( Pointed bow, flat bottom). Love what you did with it. Great job.
That is sweet !
Awesome!
Love it!
So sea foam is no good on the rubber in those carbs, be sure to buy the own Mikuni kits though. You’re going to also need a pop off tester.
Pop off gauge is on the way, never heard of the sea foam thing before
That’s so legit!
If I were a game warden, I would never ticket someone for doing a water test on a boat build. It’s obvious that you’re in the test mode.
Did you get a GPS speed on it?
Yes, 23 was the most I got. Should be a lot quicker when I get the motor running good

Pretty dam sweet 💯🇺🇸
Great ride…

Badass!!
I think those gray fuel lines are known for clogging carburetors
Yes they colapse fought that issue
Freakin nice...
Don’t run that type of fuel filter will restrict flow needs to be a mesh type not paper filter Amazon has oem style Yamaha filters pretty cheap
Defo not running right. She is gonna fly with the carb rebuild. 150 psi per pot is correct for a 701 yam ski she has a solid heart. She is gonna rip
Seems almost like it’s down a cylinder or something
Just as he took off he ruined it with music. Exiting out
Where did you get that shutoff valve from ? i need one of those ...................How far does your jet nozzles set in the water ?
Got the shutoff from the auto parts store and the jet nozzle is out of the water on plane
