why is english super rich in vocabulary words? I have been learning english nearly 3 years. I always find myself get nowhere. The more I learn it, the more words and idioms I have to absorb.Thousands of idioms that I will of course have to learn are usually found at english learning sites. The funny things occurred to me twice when i posted a comment on my facebook..with the advanced words. I was told by my facebook friend who is from Northern Ireland. He said to me that you had been using the words that most of his neighbours never knew. Then I felt so mind boggled what ?
In my opinion, there are 2 types including academic English and social English. Those advanced words or technical words are often used for English tests or academic studies. However, when you talk to people in daily life, general English is much better. I found that myself also struggles to communicate with neighbors or friends because they do not understand what I means. Advanced words don't work....hahhaha
Really, all of the videos are interesting, and now we are applying these videos in both listening and speaking. And I can confidently say that it is being useful for us❤😊
