*Anyone else have the feeling that Bob has songs that are among his greatest, but he is sitting on them, waiting for the right time to release them? I have had the feeling the past few years, that he has written songs of supernatural power, just as Johnny Cash did with, "When the Man Comes Around" but is waiting to record them or release them. I don't know, maybe not, maybe I am just dreaming, fantasizing. But he has constantly surprised the world, so I feel certain more is to come and, indeed, it's not dark yet for the Minnesota Magus.*
I saw them on this tour. Can't believe it's been 25 years! Beautiful version of the song. Do we know what date and what city it's from? This was the beginning of the Charlie Sexton era (which lasted close to 20 years!)....definitely one of the greatest guitar players Dylan ever had in his many bands. That said, his band on the Rough and Rowdy Ways tour was also stellar.
In my opinion you are so wrong.. Bob's voice is the only voice that can sing his poetry. He puts such feeling into his songs. I have not heard anyone that comes close to the feeling he puts into this song..
MAGNIFIQUE!!!
Belle Chanson !!

Never a bad version done by Bob not a better song about us all.
"Has to be?" Why? It isn't, probably, but it is one of his best.

He’s a business man, of course he’s holding back product.
@@HanifBarnwell Song and dance man! Business man! Pugilist! And welder!
SUre.. "Bling WIllie MacTell" was a good example.. took many years before it was released and what a force of nature it is.
He has home studio, hope hundreds of songs.....
Dylan's our last great poet....singing the death of poetry.
Tom Waits is up there for me also
