@@PussInBootsTheLastWishFan2003 I know this is an unpopular opinion but the newest Disney animated movies (excluding Wreck it Ralph, Zootopia, and Frozen) I find them overrated. They’re not bad, but they’re not great either.
Fun fact: Eugene (Fynn) and Rapunzel (with her short brown hair) both show up for an appearance in the movie Frozen. It's a quick "blink and you'll miss it" kind of thing, but it's nice to know that these stories are connected and I hope that they do more with it in the future. P.S. I found that you have watched Frozen, but I didn't see if you noticed the scene I just mentioned (it's right when Anna goes outside the castle towards the beginning where she passes right by them.)
This was the first Disney princess I saw in theatres (as an adult). It stars two of my all time favorite actors and was the most expensive animated movie of all time. I had to. Seeing "I see the light" in theatres (especially as a fan of animation) was breathtaking. I love that you enjoyed it so much... Also happy Birthday from Canada to you and your sister!
6:39 its explained in the Tangled Series that mother Gothal was actually a student of a Demon that taught her about it 20:52 repunzel is the sundrop herself and so her tears also have the same power since she sang the song
19:26 = Rapunzel actually mentioned that when she makes a promise, she never breaks it. Pascal knows that, hence the expression he makes in the movie. And only a few reactors really noted that, so good job to this guy for noticing ^^
Whenever Mother Gothel tells Rapunzel how much she loves her, etc, she's always looking at and/or touching Rapunzel's hair. Even the kiss on the "forehead" she's kissing her hair.
A nice detail in this movie is whenever the mom says something nice or loving to Rapunzel she is looking at or touching the hair, as if she only cares about it and not Rapunzel herself
You should totally watch Tangled : Before Ever After and the series! Disney kind of has a negative reputation with sequels and series, but it’s honestly so good and answers so many questions!
honestly!!! I wish Big Hero 6 the Series had been as well-constructed all the way through- the first season was immaculate, the first half of season 2 was pretty solid too, and then it just got... vaguely uncomfortable? Like the plots fell apart after City of Monsters.
@@핑엘리 [SPOILER WARNING FOR THE WHOLE SERIES] Yeah. I don’t think Cass’s betrayal was that well written. I kinda stayed after that because I wanted to see more Varian.
I see the light is the best disney love ballad and that's a hill I'm willing to die on Also that silent scene of the king and queen grieving their lost daughter is incredible 😭
Tangled really is one of the best of the “newer” Disney princess movies. Maximus (the horse) is my favourite character. I just love him. And the power of The Pan is why mothers rule the world 😉
"I love how I'm a grown ass man and I'm so excited to watch this" It's the best thing when a grown man is pumped for an animation film. Love it :D None of that "I'm and adult man, I can't watch princess movies" bullshit
I hate that stereotype! I'm a grown man, but I LOVE animated films, and some of them are princess movies. My favorite Disney princess is Elsa actually. I wish people didn't brush these movies aside because they are "girly" or "made for kids." They are missing out on great movies.
@@asilduin4594 I totally agree with you! :) People are missing out a lot because they want to be so grown up and mature but really it doesn't make you any less adult if you like to watch cartoons or animated movies. Animated movies are great!
When you asked why Mother Gothel knew that there was a song my brain immediately went, “now you must watch Tangled: the series” it basically explains Requnzel’s hair, her backstory, and how Mother Gothel knew about the song to make Repunzel’s hair work. It’s actually pretty good.
one of the tings that I really like about this movie is that it seems kinda like a response to the debate of weather Belle has Stockholm syndrom or not by portraying what a real Stockholm syndrom relationship looks like, cause the relationship between Rapunzel and her mother is a really dangerous one
Tangled is definitely one of my favorite Disney princess movies alongside princess and the frog. Interestingly both movies are ones where the princess takes the lead and the prince is there to support her and be a good. Yes I'm counting flynn as prince because if he eventually did marry her then it counts.
The curtains in Rapunzels room covering the mural is made from the same material as Mother Gothels dress, to symbolize Gothel keeping her from seeing the light.
When I saw tangled in the movie theater in 3D, the lantern scene was one of the top best animated scenes Disney has ever made. I was in tears with how much I loved this movie. Sure frozen is a good movie but Tangled is hands down better in my opinion with story, animation, songs, and the characters.
If you want more Tangled i highly recommend the animated series! It expands the world and character so much and the story as well as the songs are absolutely amazing!
Tangled's ending gets me every single time. Still does today. Like, as soon as he enters the tower, Eugene is like, "What the- what happened?!" Rapunzels literally screaming under the cloth for him to watch out, and he gives this really concerned look, but before he can help her out - think you can only see the look for a split sec, he's stabbed by the old hag, basically having the most heart wrenching expression and is barely able to hold a, or even, scream😭😭😭. That's heartbreaking, as well when Rapunzel makes that deal with Gothel: she'll basically be her slave forever if she can save Eugene, to which he's able to hear her and begs her not to do so! He's really weak when his wrists chained to the pillar to stop him from following them. He's in the worst pain imaginable, especially when Rapunzel comes to help, and he's like, " I know I'm dying, but that's okay if it means you won't die her prisoner. Like, I'm willing to die just to save you". She tells him she'll be fine, but he doesn't think so, grabs the biggest piece of glass, and CUTS her hair to her ears, essentially saving her, and offing gothel with pascals help. He's barely able to tell her that she was his new dream, and she says the same thing_ can't tell if he's telling her he loves her_ his head goes limp, has lost all color by this point, and dies in her arms😫😫😭😭😭😭😭😭
20:14 With the hair's magic gone, Gothel reverted to her true age. The fact she turned to dust suggest she is several HUNDRED years old. Rapunzel's tear is A. A reference to the original fairytalen and B. A callback to the prologue, where a teardrop from the sun created the flower. And fun fact, neither the King nor the Queen have ANY lines, yet we know EXACTLY what they're thinking! Tangled is absolutely my favourite Disney movie, topping Frozen by miles. Raya ATLD is a close second, though!
I recommand you take a look at the short film "Tangled ever after" to see what happens on their wedding day. It's only 6 minutes, but hilarious af. Happy birthday to you 🎁🎂🎊
In the tangled series, to answer your question about how Gothel knew you have to sing a song for the flower to work, it’s because it’s a healing incantation from a scroll written by whoever discovered the sun drop I assume.
Loved your reaction, sir! Rapunzel instantly became my favorite Disney princess when this came out, and Eugene is a fantastic male supporting lead and love interest. I'd totally recommend checking out and reacting to the animated sequel series sometime, it has some great new characters (Varian the Alchemist and Rapunzel's lady-in-waiting/best friend Cassandra to name just a couple) and continues and concludes Rapunzel and Eugene's character arcs fantastically. It also features music from the same composer and lyricist as the movie, so that's an added bonus.
tangled the series answers the question of how’d she know how to sing a song!! :)) it’s also a really good series. granted I do believe movies should be able to stand on their own in regards to lore but the series does add so much and it’s so wonderful
Special note: the two leads met *only to sing the love duet, "At last I've seen the light.".Fab acting! Even knowing of the separation, I still believe in the face-to-face relationship.

I think she did a little, paying attention to her fav food, going to travel three days on foot to get her favorite paint, giving her paint materials at all, a decent bedroom, books to read, etc. Its just when it came down to the purpose of rapunzel being there and why she needs her to never leave she lies and manipulates her.
I think she did, to a degree- she did teach Rapunzel various things and was willing to travel 3 days to buy her the paints she wanted. I think the answer is that Gothel is a narcissist, as well as a selfish and cruel woman. She was fond of Rapunzel to some degree, but ultimately valued her as a possession and a pet, her "little flower".
Oh my gosh, there‘s a heart. Now I can die in peace, haha. 😃 By the way, you can‘t see it in this video, but around 15:20 Raiponce is pushing the lantern of her parents up into the air again. A very lovely detail in my opinion💙

@@PussInBootsTheLastWishFan2003 I know this is an unpopular opinion but the newest Disney animated movies (excluding Wreck it Ralph, Zootopia, and Frozen) I find them overrated. They’re not bad, but they’re not great either.
@@redwarriorstudios6077 I don’t hate the more modern Disney movies
him and dylan both admiring the property value and high real estate of the tower is everything I need in life lmao
Tiana is there as well!

Your shock when his fingers were crushed by the closet door was hilarious haha
I easily prefer Tangled over Frozen ! Loved your reaction and your others, they always brighten my day! Love from Texas :)
6:39 its explained in the Tangled Series that mother Gothal was actually a student of a Demon that taught her about it
20:52 repunzel is the sundrop herself and so her tears also have the same power since she sang the song
Flynn Rider has taught me that in the right hands, a frying pan can become a very powerful weapon.
Even the kiss on the "forehead" she's kissing her hair.
ok my dude, but you actually look like Rapunzel’s long lost brother
So he’s the long lost Prince of Corona? Meaning technically, he should be the actual next ruler of Corona because he’s a man?
@@YellowBear-kx1ff 😱😱😱😱
That's a lovely compliment lol
@@YellowBear-kx1ff Corona lmao
A nice detail in this movie is whenever the mom says something nice or loving to Rapunzel she is looking at or touching the hair, as if she only cares about it and not Rapunzel herself
Also, Flynn always pushes the hair away because he doesn't care about the hair. He just cares about Rapunzel.
You should totally watch Tangled : Before Ever After and the series! Disney kind of has a negative reputation with sequels and series, but it’s honestly so good and answers so many questions!
Y E sssss
Y E S ✨
honestly!!! I wish Big Hero 6 the Series had been as well-constructed all the way through- the first season was immaculate, the first half of season 2 was pretty solid too, and then it just got... vaguely uncomfortable? Like the plots fell apart after City of Monsters.

[SPOILER WARNING FOR THE WHOLE SERIES]
Yeah. I don’t think Cass’s betrayal was that well written. I kinda stayed after that because I wanted to see more Varian.
I see the light is the best disney love ballad and that's a hill I'm willing to die on
Also that silent scene of the king and queen grieving their lost daughter is incredible 😭
Tangled really is one of the best of the “newer” Disney princess movies. Maximus (the horse) is my favourite character. I just love him. And the power of The Pan is why mothers rule the world 😉
Happy birthday! Tangled is by far my favourite Disney movie. Nothing else comes close.
Maybe you can react to the movie "The Rise of the Guardians" in the future. It`s a pretty cool film and i dont think you`ll regret it watching it.
I love that movie it's my favorite
We aiming to get ya boy to watch the entire Big Four, then?
"I love how I'm a grown ass man and I'm so excited to watch this"
It's the best thing when a grown man is pumped for an animation film. Love it :D None of that "I'm and adult man, I can't watch princess movies" bullshit
I hate that stereo type so much. I'm a guy and some of my favorite movies of all time include Ever After, Anastasia, and Tangled.
@@Reavyn1 I don't think I have seen Ever After but Anastasia and Tangled are so good! :D
@@artthounasty5877 It's a live action of the Cinderella story. And it is SOOOO good!
People are missing out a lot because they want to be so grown up and mature but really it doesn't make you any less adult if you like to watch cartoons or animated movies.
It's amazing, of all the witches in Disney, Mother Gothel has the least magical ability, and is the most terrifying.
This is probably my favorite Disney movie ever. It is one of the few Disney movies that I think has absolutely no flaws whatsoever. It is just perfect
Him: *has any European accent, doesn’t like jam, and is goofy enough to wear that hat*

@@bozovirag97 if either of us gets the privilege of having him, let’s just share😭

“Flynn can sing??” Zachary Levi was literally in a Broadway show 😂
If you want more Tangled i highly recommend the animated series! It expands the world and character so much and the story as well as the songs are absolutely amazing!
Yes this is my favourite Disney movie and I’m so happy your reviewing it!
Who knew you and Rapunzel had the same birthday :) Happy Birthday Welchy hope you have a great day, take it easy and be safe. love your reaction!
Thank you Kim! :)
20:14
With the hair's magic gone, Gothel reverted to her true age.
Happy birthday to you 🎁🎂🎊
I saw that and omg I almost died laughing 😂😂😂
Omg yes! It’s one of my favorite Disney shorts (not counting Pixar of course)
In the tangled series, to answer your question about how Gothel knew you have to sing a song for the flower to work, it’s because it’s a healing incantation from a scroll written by whoever discovered the sun drop I assume.
Starring Mandy Moore as Rapunzel and Zachary Levi as Flynn Ryder in this movie about a kidnapped princess raised by Gothel who runs away
Yesss do excited for your reaction I really think you’ll like it. And happy birthday Welchy!!!❤️
Thank you!!
tangled the series answers the question of how’d she know how to sing a song!!
Tangled is one of my favorite movies of all time. Also they did a whole spin off series on Disney (about their adventures before they get married) that was pretty good.
6:46Watch Tangled: The Series/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure. We learn more about Gothel. Though the series mostly focuses on the relationship between Rapunzel and Eugene

The series is a great follow up to this! Love Tangled :)
I get that she's the villain and stuff, but I don't understand how she didn't develop any maternal feelings at all towards her.
It's because she never viewed her as a person, she was just a conduit of the sundrop
@@memyselfandi7782 but see, that's the thing. It wasn't For Rapunzel......it was a means of making the "flower" feel safe and not want to leave her.
Also I love your profile pic!
